  1. Welcome to the Forum! Still hockey season up your way, eh? Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  2. Equalizers -Stoked!!!

  3. Really jonesing for the new Hogan Edge irons. I used to play Apex Edge Pros and loved them. The feel, the response and control. Very soft forging. But the price was that they got dinged up a lot. Even catching a larger lump of sand in a blinker could leave a gouge in the club face. Hope the new version is as responsive but also a bit more sturdy. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  4. I always thought they were called “Top Rock”... Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  5. Surface of the lake adjacent to the first fairway Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  6. Wasn't GS Rick putting something together for next Thursday? I am back on the other side of the Potomac now, so not up near Baltimore any more but willing to put in a few miles for a round of golf... Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  7. YUP! - Brother's name Christopher Aloysius, cousins named Maureen, Kathleen and Ellen.
  8. Only slightly better here in the MD/VA/DC area- cold but no weather- so cant complain too much - and was able to get in a couple rounds this past weekend- so I am not complaining at all.
  9. As long as you don't sleep with the fishes!
  10. If I remember, I will try to take some photos from the courses and post them - if we have connectivity and if I remember to carry my phone... I have been thinking about this trip since last June when we made the plans!!! 16 of us for a week of (to use our fearless leader's exact words) ... The Usual Suspects will be fully engaged in a warm, secure alternative location engaged in Geospatial Orbicular Launch Familiarization, significant wealth redistribution, and expert evaluation of local libations and cuisine.
  11. This time tomorrow I will be heading out for a week of golf in the warm Caribbean!! tough to focus on work right now!!!
  12. Joking aside, at one of the ice rinks where I play adult league ice hockey there is a "curling pavilion" - it is a nice, heated and carpeted area, with a bar and pizza oven, as well as 6 sheets of ice for curling. I did not know it, but apparently the ice is not "smooth" like hockey or figure skating ice, but rather bumpy, which allows the brooms and scrapers to shape the direction of the "stone." Actually an interesting thing to watch while waiting for our late ice time - or at least better than standing out in the cold waiting for that ice.
  13. I would be concerned that the judging would be unduly swayed by the costumes (or lack thereof) although that might make for interesting television!!!

  15. A resounding YES - both 12 and 16 ounce versions - Oh, wait, what.....!?!?!?!?!?
  16. Currently game an old, almost first generation Cobra Baffler 19 degree hybrid. Love it off the deck, great in thick rough, and even use it putting thru frog hair just off the fringe. A couple of years ago I bought a Hogan VTK and it was WONDERFUL, but the finish came off the face with less than 3 full rounds on it. I sent it back to get re-finished and they send me a different hybrid, and it never felt the same - just did not perform the same as before- so I sold that. Am in the market for a driving iron, but have not found one that A) I like, and I am willing part with that much cash for!!!

    Tinnitus

OG- sorry, I should have been more specific - HH6 is HouseHold 6, (commander of the house- AKA Wife, SWMBO) Thanks Wahoo for helping out!! So, regarding Magnesium, unfortunately there is no known cure to tinnitus - however, a balanced diet, with normal supplements cant hurt. The bigger issue, as I mentioned earlier, is hydration- when you are dehydrated, the tinnitus will probably be worse. Using sound generating machines can help, especially when you are trying to sleep, but make sure you are hydrated and have water near the bed (and remember, beer is not a good substitute for water, despite what they believe in southern Germany)- Good luck and let me know, because HH6 actually suffers from it as well- from too much loud music thru head phones in the 1980's...
  19. HH6 has always been supportive of my addiction- she allows the occasional guy trips (usually 2 a year) as long as she gets her scuba fix (usually 2 trips to warm weather areas) every year- we have not figured out how to do a combined trip yet... but still looking. She accompanied me on my first big golf trip (Scotland in 2010) and she loved it, actually spent some time with another wife on the trip, went on hikes, actually went canoeing on Lac Lohman, all in all a great trip, and has given me the green light ever since. I think she likes a few hours of personal time on the weekends, so that works well, too. we still have plenty of time for couple stuff, and I make sure there are some nice things that she likes to do worked into the weekends on several times a year, too. No kids, so no issue there. It is, as many have said, a very good, understanding and loving relationship! For that I am thankful!
  20. Regarding feedback, if I have time this weekend I will pull some screenshots of the Shotscope "Dashboard" to show different ways the data can be displayed - although it does not show a particular hole other than during a particular round- there is no consolidated view of how I played Pebble Beach #8 over the past three years. Clearly, if there is a demand, there should be an algorithm that can produce that product, as that data exists. (BTW, I have only played Pebble Beach once in my life, many years ago, so that was just an example)
