  1. Actually 3 clubs in my bag; Stealth2 driver, Radspeed 3 wood and my Ping 3.0 Glide Eye 2 LW.
  2. It's been a few weeks since I posted in this thread, but I have been somewhat diligent in my workout program. A family medical issue got in the way along with finalizing a bathroom remodel, but I still got in 10 days in March. Things have lightened up in April and I've gotten in 8 days out of 16! My expectation is to rachet that up to 20 days this month.
  3. Has anyone tried these new Vice balls? I was tempted to try a doz with my recent Vice Pro order.
  4. As I recall the explanation from SS the only difference was only in the length of the (screw) sensor, and that the underside of the sensor was concave allowing a tighter fit to some grips.
  5. I've always been very apprehensive about anything to do with my eyes. Just about a year ago I went to the ophthalmologist for an annual eye exam. Not only did he say it's beyond time for cataract surgery but also that my right eye was so bad that he did not allow me to drive. He had a 4 week backlog but moved me up to the head of the line. Ended up having both eyes done - 2 weeks apart. A very easy and quick procedure and immediately corrected my vision (it was life changing). The only PIA were the drops everyday for a few weeks. FYI my vision ended up 20/30 (I didn't opt for the expensive cataract lenses $5K each). Since I'm near sighted, I only wear glasses for distance, i.e. golf - so I can see those long drives

    LPGA

That's a great looking course who would have thought it was in the middle of a desert. BTW, Nelly looked worn out yesterday - maybe the 3 consecutive wins took a lot out of her.
  7. Congrats to all of the testers! Unfortunately, I had to back out at the last minute because of a significant family medical issue. However, being a fanatical Shotscope user and one who is always looking to improve, especially the mental side of the game, I’ll be watching closely.

    LPGA

I watch LPGA events all of the time as well as attend events when they're close to us. Been to the Marathon classic a few times, Solheim Cup 2 years ago, and recently the Drive On Championship in Bradenton this year. We even hosted a few of the gals from Univ of Toledo when there was a College event at our club in Ohio. I find their (LPGA) approach to the game more interesting and relatable then the men's (PGA) game and certainly more accessible. You don't have to show up early to be next to the ropes and the crowds are never 10 deep. You can stand close to them on the practice green and hear the conversation between coach/caddie and player. I also found it interesting that when we were at the Drive On, how many young girls were there. There's the future of the game. Why don't they get more exposure or TV coverage? I 'm not an expert and didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but maybe if the total purse was $10MM instead of $2MM that might perk a few heads up. My wife still watches PGA events but only when Speith, JT, Rors or Rickie are in the mix. I, on the other hand gave up on them once LIV got a foothold. BTW the LPGA Match Play event is on GC starting at 6:00 if anyone is interested.
  9. I learned the hard way to have the crown sitting up. Put a fully charged X5 on the counter the night before a game, next morning when I put it on saw I only had 24% - then it dawned on me.
  10. That's a pretty substantial discount - wonder if there's a new version coming out?
  11. Thanks -I was aware of the data by round but was looking for the cumulative GIR. I can't recall see the total GIR per course or based on the various cuts 1,5,10, etc. Maybe that doesn't exist?
  12. Ok I give up - I'll attribute it to a sleepless night. Can anyone point me to GIR in either the dashboard or the app?
  13. I’ve played that hole, thankfully I didn’t save the score card as a reminder. FYI this was several years ago, the mangroves weren’t cut back and you could hardly see the green.
  14. That happened to me a month or two ago. I just figured it was operator error vs a watch issue. Let us know what SS says.
  15. My demo 2&3 dot went back today after a week of extensive testing on the range and course. While Newton can be an excellent shaft for lots of folks out there, as hard as I tried I couldn’t make it outperform my Speeder.
  16. Yup that does - so I'll put that on function on 'ignore'. However, I did find that if I didn't select that one tee box, the X5 reverted to the watch face so I had to start all over again: gps acquisition, etc. When I downloaded the round I was on the right tee box in the app. I also noticed that I had to update the firmware last night - yes I did upload the one from a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if they pushed a new firmware update yesterday or a glitch in the watch. Current updated firmware is 2.1.85.
  17. Question for you power users: I had to set up the tees on the app for our sister course which I play on a rare occasion - no problem in setting up the different tee boxes. However, when I start the X5 (gps & tracking) only the white tee box comes up. Yes I have sync'd the course. Am I missing something or should I get SS tech support involved? Oh and FYI, yes I did read the manual and I didn't see any reference to this issue.
  18. Using a glue gun while it's sticky and lasts a long time is not a permanent. Gorilla or any other instant glue is permanent. I like the idea of ordering extra putter sensors as I regularly change my putter grip.
  19. +1 for gluing it. I used Gorilla Instant Glue - the putter sensor has been on for months and no sign of it loosening.
  20. I agree, and to further help out - using PAVG which knocks out the outliers instead of AVG or Longest. During the winter we have lots of wind, like today, it was blowing 25. Launch the drive high into the wind and watch it come down like a lead ballon or that long drive downwind will get knocked out in the outliers. I assume that would be comparable to hitting a sloped fairway (either way).
  21. After my cataract surgery, I found that I really don't need glasses except for distance as I'm shortsighted. However, I did get a pair of progressive glasses plus a pair of distance only sunglasses, since they were only $50. more at Costco. I love the glasses (brown lens), they're "Champion Elite". The bill for both was $350. After insurance, both only cost me $100. 3 cheers for Costco.
  22. Thx for including in the distribution list. Hope I can make a summer event.
  23. Wow that was fast - especially since I requested a lefty TM connector! I ordered the 2 & 3 dot demo the beginning of the week and they arrived last yesterday afternoon (standard free shipping). It was too late for hitting the driving range and today's weather is miserable rain and wind combo here in Florida. Tomorrow's weather is sunny, high 70's and less wind AND couples 18 hole shamble. I've already switched out the Shotscope sensors (to the 3 dot) so I should get a pretty good feel for distance and dispersion performance tomorrow. I've got 4 scheduled games next week so between those and the range I should get a pretty good feel for both.
