  1. I go by this, if it's shiney stay away. If you play in hot humid states. Here's a trick, go into your golf shop, take a towel with you. Wet that towel in the restroom. Use it to wet down several grip types, you will see real quick which one's want to take off into the impact screen. Good luck.
  2. Just fly down to Irvine, Tx area. Any private course pro can hook you up. 4-8k per hole is norm for the big boys. All I can say is good luck, say Hi to Lee for me.
  3. What Sergio has in his back pocket is Big Business.
  4. If you have ever called to work on club head damage/info with Titleist support they are top notch. I see a lot of happy Titleist club owns every year. If I had one issue with Titleist driver/ woods it would be the crown Paint. It chips to easy. I get a lot of guys wanting them cleaned up. ( Of course the chips are from the Tees hitting it, never hitting to high on the face /sarc off). I think Titleist has a different approach to marketing than some. Most pro shops have a couple bags you can try out on the course just ask, that cost a few bucks. All this is IMO 10shot
  5. But, But...where does this leave the beer girl.Think Lad, you must think this through.
  6. For me, I pay my thousands of dollars every year to play golf. My rounds take 4-5 hours to play. Don't like it, go around me, I play to have fun and enjoy the course. Take up speed dating if you think golf is 2.5 hour 18 hole sport.
  7. Some of you guys have some time on your hands. I could use some help putting grips on about 300 clubs. 2 beers an hour, 3 if your over 250lbs Nice looking work folks.
  8. Thanks for the feedback and pictures. I've done several sets with colored ferrules for customers kids. I was wondering what the main golf crowd thought. 10 shot
  9. I'm looking at making colored ferrules part of my stocked parts inventory. What opinions do you have on them. Love them, hate them, be a great addition if more shops had them etc. Many colors are available, what would be your choice. Thank you 10shot,
  10. Only tears in the grip never had anyone say it came off. I would also say swing tempo played a part as well. Grips coming off IMO, due to not allowing grip to dry. Some guys use a lot of solvent and it take hours to dry. Could see this at the club going straight from the pro shop..maybe Using the .015 tape allows me to take grips on and off allowing the customer to try several grips in short time. Double tape is OK it's just a PITA removing it when you have 100 to do
  11. DIY, IMO use plain old masking tape if your frugal or buy the Golfworks its Full size build up tape .015 which makes 4 wraps =1 grip size. Some customers ask for no tape, I don't recommend due to condensation between the shaft and rubber. (easy no jokes) I use solvent on just the inside of the grip to push over shaft then, Air compressor. Double sided tape IMO is useless unless you have a high swing speed 110+, unless the customer insist. Just watch You Tube for the air compressor grip installation process, easy peeze.
  12. Keep this in mind when talking shafts. The stamped flex is at a specific tip length. You can always make it shorter or longer unless the MGR. states absolutely not (very few do). So you can make a Stiff shaft regular which could lead to a better feel for the golfer. You can make an "A" flex stiffer. It just takes having the correct person fitting you clubs. Heck grip size can change torque as a large grip diameter will place a great twist on the shaft. Its Gear principle.
  13. CC is a rip off....end of story. Go see your local Pro for shaft stiffness I'm guessing "R" if maybe a tip trim modification. (You can do this at PGA super Store if you have one near. Good folks with all types of reasonable priced gear). Put some game improvement heads on there by anyone of the OEM club makers. Couple rescue clubs, nice putter with proper LIE/Loft. That is real easy to do, watch youtube, cost 12.00 for laser and sticky back mirror tape. I would concentrate on trying different grip sizes, standard, mid and Jumbo with 1,2 or 3 wraps of tape. Us older players have a sweet spot so our hands don't get sore. You need $7500.00 clubs like I need a bicycle golf cart. $1500.00 should get you clubs, bag, 5 dozen balls, driver, shoes and 2 drinks at the 19th. I see several players like you each year and, the "cheap stuff" improves their game like the over price clubs.
  14. I've purchased many clubs off Ebay. Ebay, my main source for used heads next to Iron factory. I will say the low ball'er selling Golf Pride grips on Ebay, they are selling counterfeits. I purchased 12, sent them to the leading seller of grips in the USA to confirm. I did this because, several customers asked about my grip price. I did a little digging to see why. Those are my Ebay stories on golf clubs.
  15. This one is simple, RUB HIS FERRULES, are they nice and pretty, smooth like OEM. If so, give'm your clubs
  16. I had a badge issue with a different brand, I hit a lot at the range=clean my cleans a lot. I think the water allow the dirt to get behind the badge and work at the stick back. I called TE and they sent me some new badges. Many badges are club specific as they add swing weight. good luck
  17. GolfWorks sells an epoxy cleaner in liquid and wipes, it works well. I keep it around for this type of application.
  18. Just moved back to the north east. You have to walk, they call it " Trail pass" $800.00 per year at many of the not so nice course we have. That just for the cart, many have primary driver rule as well, total BS. 2500.00 to 3500.00 per year for what use to cost me 1550.00. Unlimited range, play and cart some had food requirements by many didn't in the Midwest. I just have to pay up or walk, just bought a new Clicgear 3.5 works well. Wonder why tee times are VERY easy to get at 9am...hummmm.
  19. Just came across this post, u r a blessed person. Love the putting green and ur drive to have ur children play merry christmas Sent from my SM-G930V using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  20. I believe certain products help people play. With years fighting a broken knee and the VA I can say braces worked for me. Never tried the copper stuff Sent from my SM-G930V using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  21. I like to call in my "CUT" shot Sent from my SM-G930V using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  22. I can assure you this puts a damn damper on ur pace of play. Worst part, the Zimmer partial implant (formerly Biomet) broke. Doc put 12 of these in over a 2 week timeframe, I'll be the 6th coming out. Going through it one more time in Dec. That was last Feb. Sent from my SM-G930V using MyGolfSpy mobile app
