  1. Bought a L.A.B. Golf LINK.1 for $400 at PGA SS with coupons and that's about as much as I'd spend. Putters unlike most other golf clubs hold their resale well. Sometimes you can make money after a year or two. That's why I'm not afraid to spend, I know if I take care of it I can get most of that money back if a new love comes along.
  2. Blue Blocker flip-ups on the course and for everything else Polarised Green flip-ups.
  3. TeeTech golf tees. Always the right height and never break. Well, the really stubby one does break if you hit it with an iron just right. https://www.amazon.com/TeeTech-Excellent-Durability-Stability-Friction/dp/B0CXV7HBJJ/ref=sr_1_37?crid=319X2R5JL3MO2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Q087aNZPFd9qpzmo9bOs7LSykXNxkI3ZE4DtfWEjj4SCCOFxhfZWlrhegNbRHP2wfnvCO3WD-Y2d4Qb84YPPG4tIUywsUakZlmglzu9XKmznKZ1_W_ZKCTrlFlbUJZFTlkltbfF3jW3umj_u2UCExey0kfwp1eoXN3hRnzn3_MiC4wteJoMcITxqKCCSzJBJJ6etHrmz9R3zHYMJkrupjuE8hftvXqF-DWPHd7OomSxVCXQJWntTk-_m_u17l1PWevVtHJrUbLG8m6yx8jUyuZDHalrLXJTaDtJifFAnfrY.td60aSMoCcY7uPggL-r3YBZF6MVupGnXWaFUSznsfaM&dib_tag=se&keywords=teetech+golf&qid=1710940011&sprefix=TeeTech%2Caps%2C180&sr=8-37
  4. Tropicana Entertainment, or Jimmy Tropicana. Yes, Manolo's sidekick. He walks you through his thoughts on hitting the golfing ball and I find it quite refreshing. He is a proponent of doing everything simple and easy. As am I.
  5. I get a little sad at the turn because there are only 9 left to play. At 16 I'm thinking three left and how did it go by so quickly? On the last hole, I'm adding up skins and putts owed so I'm a little less sad then. Overall, I enjoy golf with all the slow play, ball marks, divots in the fairways, trash on the course, all of it. Even the guy trying to give me swing tips that I totally ignore.
  6. I discovered these late last year and will be playing them this year except I'm going with white and the 360* stripe. I really noticed a difference off the tee and around the greens.
  7. ASK ECHO 14 way and clubs do not move. I haven't tried this on a riding cart yet but I can't see a problem. My old Ping bag had 15 way and I do miss the slot for my alignment stiks but oh well.
  8. This worked for me. https://youtu.be/Xn0RJJjia9w?si=08t42YUa3nsBCay0
  9. With friends it's always buck-a-hole, buck-a-putt, so every putt counts. If it's for s#!ts and giggles then whatever, but I putt out everything.
  10. Back in the 80's there was a magazine called Tackle Test reviewing fishing equipment. They only existed on subscriptions they didn't take advertising dollars. They survived a year and a half and got bought out by fishing tackle companies but assured us the content would stay the same. It didn't. So when I started playing golf again in 2015 I looked around the interwebs and found MGS. So far, so good.
  11. I was using the 45 and 50 that came with the set along with a VOKEY SM9 at 54 but I needed something to drop one on the green from 55 to 65 yards so I bought a $50 60 degree from Amazon and it's worked out surprisingly well for me. And since my ball-striking has improved significantly this year I'm comfortable using it that way. YMMV.
  12. The company I work for makes these. https://www.amazon.com/TeeTech-DS8-Flex-Golf-Tee/dp/B08KWKY362/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2834HRASN44I0&keywords=teetech+golf+tees&qid=1692016045&sprefix=teetech+golf+tees%2Caps%2C131&sr=8-3 The company also manufactures other plastic tees, plastic divot tools, and plastic ball markers for different resellers. So yeah, I'm wood all day long.
  13. Congrats testers. And here is the watch face you will want. https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/149ecaf5-6b8d-487c-8571-8df4ff3e2ba8 Thank me later.
  14. I have AirTags everywhere. Golf Bag, luggage, keys, car, my cigar holder (I lost two of these until I added an AirTag to it) My son's keys, My wife's keys. In the airport, I can follow my luggage as it meanders to the cargo hold. I have Tile trackers too and they work but the installed base of iPad and iPhones dwarf the Tile's installed base. I haven't had to use it to find anything lost or stolen yet but I know my odds are better with them attached to things I care about.
  15. I've been gaming the 60 degree Jean Carlo because I'm cheap. I have a 56 degree Vokey SM9 and I love it but my game doesn't know the difference in wedges so when I needed a 60 degree to fill a full swing gap in the 80-yard range I got this. Yeah, the back looks cheezy but the face looks nice. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BXP3FSJY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Jean Carlo Golf Wedge 48/50/52/54/56/58/60/62 Degree Sand Wedge,Gap Wedge,Lob Wedge for Men & Women Milled Face for More Spin Right Hand Golf Clubs $50 each off Amazon.
  16. I bought this 60* off Amazon for $50. I've got a 54* Vokey but I didn't feel like spending that kind of money for a club I'll use maybe 4 times a round. But I did need it to fill a gap in my set so I sidelined the Ping 7 wood and put this in the rotation.
  17. 3 Hybrid and I took out one of my wedges and only use a 54° now so I could add a 7 Wood. With my game, I need both of these clubs to fill distance gaps.
  18. I had covers on my 2019 Apex irons and took them off after a year. Bad mistake. They still work but are all beat up looking now. On my new set of ZX5's I use these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0074V4W8Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They work great, look like new after 2 years and you can mix them up and still see what club you are pulling.
  19. https://tinyurl.com/4xvf7wut TeeTech DS8 Flex Golf Tee (4 Pack)TeeTech DS8 Flex Golf Tee (4 Pack) I work for them so yeah, I'm a little biased. Everyone I've given them to other players on the GC and they love 'em. But then again who don't like free? I like that I get the same tee height every time and I have yet to break one of these.
  20. Garmin S62 and C10 Clicgear/Alphard ECCO Snell So far as clubs go I really don't care as long as they perform for me.
  21. I'm thinking about the equipment I have and how I need to clean it up and change all the grips. Clean up the V2 and charge all the batteries. I should be done by March just in time for the thaw.
