  1. I think it's the way I cut it. I used an air compressor dye grinder wheel. It wasn't the prettiest cut so I hit it with some fine grit sandpaper and some silicone polish to clean it up. I didn't have a pair of ratchet pliers to make a clean cut. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  2. Interesting find here. Here is a picture from MGS original Kirkland Signature vs. Titleist post from 11/16. Here is a picture of my 2018 K Sig ball that just showed up. My not so scientific analysis is that the components of each layer look to be of the same material and are the same thickness. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  3. Mine just showed up. Going back to my shop to cut one open now. Y'all let me know what it looks like compare to the last ones. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. Your WITB looks like my old setup. I had the Epic and the XR 16.
  5. I had a couple of DogFish 60 Min IPAs at dinner. I just got home and I'm drinking a special recipe Old Forrester Old Fashioned now. Great way to end the day.
  6. Guys my goal for the past 2 seasons has been to break 85. I am playing to a 17 right now so I consistently shoot in the upper 80s low 90s. I have been putting in the extra work and focusing on the tee box and 100 and in. I walked 18 today and shot an 83!!! I played boring/smart golf and got it done. I am so happy. Its one of those things that you work really hard at and you keep falling short but then it finally happens and you feel so rewarded. I got my putter cut an inch and regripped yesterday with a Superstroke Flatso 2.0. I also put the Cobra F8 in the bag after being fitted for it yesterday. I honestly feel like those two tweaks helped this happen. I had several drives over 300 today. I am very excited to track the data on these two clubs and see what happens over the next couple of weeks after I get a few more rounds in. I am loving the Cobra Connect feature of the F8 as well. Today was a good day. Old Fashions will be had late into the night. Cheers fellas.
  7. I got it off of Craigslist with a stock fujikura regular flex. Took that out and put in a GBB Epic Fujikura stock stiff 3 wood shaft to control it a little better. I still have both shafts and head. Going to put it on Craigslist and eBay tonight. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  8. I'm not sure what the internals looked like in the previous ball, but when I get mine I'll cut one open and post it in this thread. You seem to be much more educated on this one than me. Can you take a look at it then and let us all know?
  9. BIG STU the hype got so out of control last time that I couldn't get my hands on a sleeve. Should be here by this weekend. Hoping to play them for my Pre-Master's round on Sunday.
  10. I went to my local golf shop with the intention of getting my Scotty cut an inch and then put on a new SuperStroke Flatso 2.0 grip. Well...while my putter was getting surgery I hit the new Ping G400. I tried all of the heads and shaft combo's trying to dial it in. I just couldn't jive with it. I was really bummed about the Cobra testing and haven't been able to stop thinking about the Cobra F8 since. They fit me for the F8 and I instantly clicked with it. I was hitting consistent 10 yard draws of 285 yards plus on GC Quad. I was able to eliminate the right side of the course and my miss was a hook rather than a slice. I loved it so much that the Epic got traded in. Went in for a putter mod and grip but came out with a new driver and bag too!
  11. Thank you for the tip! I just scooped up my 4 dozen. Top link took me straight to the item.
  12. I work in the car business and I got a rare early night last night. My normal course had a local middle school group out. There was no way I was not getting a quick 9 in. I just moved to the area so I scrambled and found the next nearest course on Google. I found a course that I've never played above about 15 mins away. I pulled up and another guy had the same idea I did as we both walked in at the same time. We both paid our $20 and agreed to share the last cart. Turned out to be another car guy and we had a good time blasting through 9 in 1hr and 20 mins. I didn't play particularly well shooting +10, but it's nights like that that make you realize what we have here at MGS. Just a good group of golf guys all sharing info and just having a good time. 13. This was a great review HardcoreLooper! I jumped on this bus a few months ago. I'm sure that my technique hasn't changed so it has to be the equipment. My 100 and in game has transformed. I like what you said in your write up about getting over yourself. I had to let my ego go along with my Vokey SM6s. I hit into a bunker today with wet sand. I normally hyperventilate as soon as I see sand, but today was different. I had confidence. I assessed the lie and took a half swing with my 58 and came out to 10 feet. I love these wedges.
