  1. For your consideration is a special project: Titleist 962B, 2-PW Dynamic Gold Sensicore X100 New black velvet grips by Karma Golf This is truly a unique set of irons as you will see by the finish on the heads. The finish is an "oil quench" or "oil dip". This process involves heating the head with a torch to a high temp and then dipping the head directly into oil which causes the finish you see. The end result is very unique and pretty darn cool. The heads are composed of the softer 731 stainless steel so they do have some bendability (2 degrees +/-). I am going to leave the price open ended to start with, if you are interested please message me with an offer to consider. I will accept payment via PayPal and I ship within one day of receiving the payment.
  2. Can you do the draft via the ESPN fantasy app on your phone? Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  3. STUDque, I myself was really torn on it and you raise a valid point. I settled on three weeks of inter-division competition because it would help really bolster playoff positions. I'm not opposed to changing it perse but I will have to see if I have time. I'm gonna be out on the road for work this afternoon so if I can make a change I will. Thanks for the input. 4. The league is no charge but I'm looking for a cool trophy to give the winner. Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  5. Dude eBay is my number one place. You get get really great prices there with buy-it-now options. Otherwise I keep and account with Golfworks and they send out BoGo thru email. Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  6. I can understand the desire to manipulate the loft but in my many years of experience there isn't really a benefit. Don't get caught up in the "length" fight, length ain't gonna make your handicap go down. Ball flight is better fixed for the long run by working with an instructor. 7. Ok so this week's project is the Callaway Vintage Forged Wedge. It is a raw milled wedge and I'm going to take it from rusty to awesome oil can quench design. I'll post pics as we go, I'm also up for recommendations or ideas on paint fill colors. Cheers fellas 👍 Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  10. I've always believed that any sport which has viewership on main television access that kids can end up seeing should have strict rules about what can be seen. No amount of money could motivate me to allow a company to sponsor me if the name or principles were not family friendly. Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  11. Lol I know. I though the whole idea of Ruth being Tom Brady's grandma was hilarious. Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  12. Hey man, it's real estate for advertising. I'm not gonna judge them, if I was trying to make it as a tour pro I'd welcome whatever advertising I could to cover my costs. I'd feel no shame about what was on my shirt as long as it was something I'd feel comfortable with kids seeing. If I had my choice I'd go with: 1. OnCore Golf Balls 2. Sketchers 3. Whole foods market 4. Meijer 5. Ikea 6. General Motors 7. Hanes 8. Oakley 9. Apt 9 Clothes Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  13. Yea man, lie angle has so much impact on results. I prefer hitting a fade so I have my lie angles adjusted a degree flat extra to make hitting a fade easier. Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  18. Yea I think like most any sport, as humans evolve and technology advances, uniforms and attire will change. I don't watch high level golf events to see what outfit Jordan Spieth is gonna wear. Or what shoes Rory McIlroy is wearing on Sunday. I watch competitive golf for the aspect of the actual golf. Until very recently in it's history, golf was considered just a "game" by most people. Over time, the highest level golfers have proven that there is a tremendous amount of athletic ability, training, and practice which needs to be present. This is no different then tennis, or football. People don't go to a tennis match because they are so concerned about Federer's outfit, or go to a basketball game because Lebron is wearing a cool jersey. We participate in sport as a spectator because we love to watch the execution of high skill by trained athletes. More athletic attire for professional golfers is a very good idea. I could relate much better to my favorite players if they are wearing more athletically driven outfits. And the whole "skinny legs" thing is really funny. I seriously don't understand why professional golfers don't take the time to be outside without a shirt or in shorts so their skin looks less pasty lol. Seriously though, pretty much every men's sport has guys with skinny calves, even tennis, football, and basketball. Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  19. Holy smokes, 14 pages on this thread already. I would point out that tennis did start as a game for royals, men wore suits and women wore dresses. Today they wear athletic gear, shorts/skirts and short sleeve shirts. It is a game played outdoors a lot and they are running around so the attire makes sense (much like basketball). The only difference here is that pants being worn for highest level men's professional golf has been perpetuated a really long time, probably longer then it should have. Golf has long been called "the gentleman's game" and to that comes certain requirements, but I have to say that pants isn't a specific requirement for a game to be consider "gentlemanly". If golf wants to be considered more athletic then the attire has to fit the description. Golf should have gone to shorts permitted about 10 years ago. The drawback though is that there are a lot of overweight professional golfers (no fat tennis players) who would make the shirts+polo thing look bad, but maybe it would motivate their lazy butt to get some cardio lol. 20. I read this morning and article by Michael Wilbon (one of my favorite sports writers). Tiger Woods was left off of a survey for "Greatest Black Athletes", this is a travesty. Read it if you have 10 minutes: https://theundefeated.com/features/50-greatest-black-athletes-not-including-tiger-woods-oversight-injustice/ This shows you how much people think that the personal life of Tiger and the sports life of Tiger are tied together essentially. Pretty sad.... regardless of his personal life choices, you can't discard his achievements and impact for golf (and sports in general). He is clearly one of the top Best 50 black athletes ever. 21. Ok fellas, I will adjust it tomorrow when I get on the computer and send an email out to everyone. I'll probably look at an evening time, probably better for everyone overall. Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  23. Al, an auction draft works as follows: 1. As the name entails, each player is nominated by someone each round (IE you nominate Tom Brady). 2. Then every league member has an opportunity to place bids at the same time and compete for getting that player on their roster. 3. Every league member has the same draft budget. You have a certain amount of budget to fill your roster. As you obtain players, your budget gets decreased accordingly. 4. Strategy is definitely key. You have to decide if spending a lot on a few all-stars is best and then filling in with lesser talent, or balancing your roster on several mid level veterans. 5. Every league member nominates a player from the board, whoever they want, from the players left available. You have certain positions on your roster to fill with. 24. Guys, is anyone opposed to doing it on the 5th or 6th? Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  25. That transition issue from practice swing to actual is mental and tension based. Here's what I mean: 1. When most people make a practice swing motion they unfortunately aren't doing it with a purpose. Yes a practice swing should be to loosen up but it should also be with a purpose. For me, I make two practice repetitions, both of them I rehearse what I want to feel when I am attempting the shot. That way when I'm over the ball my mind is prepped for the action. 2. Tension sets in when aren't really sure about our swing or/and not fully committed to what we want to do. If I get over the ball and feel like I'm not aimed right, instantly my mind starts to doubt my execution. Also, think low and slow on the take away. And one last thing, ask yourself if your body is actually meant to rotate to a full position on takeaway? Sent from my LGLS992 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
