They stopped making my wedge after the SM6, L grind 58, so I keep tracking those down on ebay.

That's awesome!!! Trying to catch up to you!

Semi rainout this morning but still got in 9. Tees off 1 hour late and started on #5. But it was play 5&6 find shelter, play 7 shelter, play 8 then shelter. Played 9-11, then 14&15 to finish. The last holes weren't fun as the back 9 has low holes that were just soaked. And I was soaked and it was getting incredibly humid very quickly so decided to stop. Hit the ball fine but it was decidedly not golf today.

75 this morning. My plans for cancelled twice so I called my home course knowing they had an all day outing starting at 7 AM but the pro said I could play as long as I tees off by 630, I got there at 6 and just went. Moved up to play the whites just to make sure I stayed out of the way. Left the yardage book in the car and range finder in the bag, just went by feel. I wonder if that tells me something... Front was -1 35, could've been lower. Missed 2 birds inside 8 feet and had some wedge shots I could hit closer. The birdie I made was a 40 for bomb though. 4 bogeys on the back. Back 9 plays much tougher and for the most part the whites are only 10-15 yards in front of the black so all the holes play the same way. This was a big confidence boost today.

The only thing I've seen around my area is that the courses that are very long, say 6700+ hardly ever have the tees set back that far. There's a course by me that's 7400 from the tips, last time I played it, they had those black tees up two boxes. I understand it from pace of play issues.

how often do you use 58* for partial shots?
DiscipleofPenick replied to Timmytoe's topic in General Q&A
I use my 58 for almost everything inside 90 yards. The exceptions are a bump and run shot I play with a 7i and I use my 54 out of bunkers. My 58 only has 4 bounce so it's easy to blade things out of the sand, the 54 has 10 and cuts right under the ball. -
Agree with this. All the penalties involving viewer phone in after the fact were suspect and super annoying to me. Either penalize at the moment or not at all.

Don't sleep on CLE we are spoiled. Lots of great munis, not just the metroparks

I think because it was cart path only this is on the course. Reasonable pace of play goes out the window in those conditions. The management should know better.

Penalty free 78 this morning that was great except a double on 18 . Hit the ball much better then yesterday other then my 3 drives on the back 9 going nowhere near where I wanted them. Finally par on 12 which is one of the toughest par 4s in the area.

84 today on a course that was wetter than it looked. Total lack of consistency, feels like I'm playing 3 true outcomes golf. Either everything is working and I shoot mid 70s, putter isn't working and I shoot around 80, or nothing works and I shoot 85+. With what I want to accomplish this year, every day not breaking 80 feels wasted.

Just gotta do it and keep the mechanical thoughts out of your head. Just hit a good one

Lol I just donated 2 kitchen trash bags full of polos. I still have 50+ in the closet. Got rid of ones that were 15 years old and odd brands. Only the good stuff from here on out -
This is why I switched to Z-Stars all the performance of a ProV but there's deals to be had.
-
Also wanted to mention I played Sunday too and found a Snell MTBX on the first hole. I played all 36 holes with one ball as I'd been wanting to try these dice the ball lab. I liked it, firmer than my Z-Star gamer, but not clicky like other X balls. Also a + for durability.

78 today at my home course with a 37 on the back 9. Bird on 18 which really helped. Some bad chipping on the front kept me from going low. No 3 putts or doubles. Like my pro said just calm my mind and focus on the shot. Trending back in the right direction.

I just saw this within the big thread. I bought a pair of FJ ARC lights over the winter. Just wore them for the 3rd time and my feet were wet after the round. These should have a 2yr waterproof guarantee. Gonna double check and email them. -
Great start to a 4 day weekend, low 50s and rain today and tomorrow. Supposed to play Sunday & Monday. Temps will rebound but praying for not cart-path only.
