    I didn't plan on entering one of these for a while but what the heck, it's Masters week. First name: John Home state: South Carolina Current handicap: Very high--27.4 but coming down like it's a lead balloon! Current distance measuring method: Swing x Swing iPhone app, tag teamed with my eyeballs, and the ever so accurate yardage markers, plus an added licked finger for windage.     I try to get a single quick 9 in every week when it is dead so I can get some good practice in. But when I start the old hackers are all finishing their round and grabbing a beer in the clubhouse so I try to stick around and talk to those guys before I go out to find a potential playing partner for later in the week.     Thanks, looking forward to giving it a shot during some downtime this weekend. Not even close, Kenny The picture doesn't do the lie justice. The ball was wedged in between the top of the sand and bottom of the clay that the grass was growing in. I thought (very incorrectly) that I could lift it out, but ended up in the very middle of the sand trap with a then playable lie.

    Thanks guys. I tried getting under it with my 60*, and ended up rolling the ball back into the trap and playing it out. Going to try and recreate the lie again later this week and give it another go. Didn't think about the bump and run, JMike. Will definitely give it a go. If all else fails, I'm putting a shovel in my bag.

    I rewatched 1-3 within the past year and they (1&2) were almost unbearable. But the reward was seeing Yoda go off. Absolutely a top Star Wars moment.

    I do have to confess, the Mission:Ping article did a great deal in leading me to buy the Ping app/cradle.

    I got my Ping cradle a couple of weeks ago. I think it is definitely worth the $10. IMO it has helped me learn how to become a more consistent putter from a tempo standpoint and it has made me focus more on my clubface angle at impact.

    Broke 50 on the back 9 for the first time today. Averaged a 2 putt for all 9. Ball striking is the next target, and down goes 100! Progress is being made I've got to get down to GA to join you for a round!
