  1. Garmin connect doesn't appear to be golf centered. What am I missing?attachicon.gifIMG_4884.PNG

Has to be used with a Garmin GPS that supports shot tracking. Using it with the x40 and was money well spent.

  2. Is this your home course?

Have you try planing to bogey every hole? How would you do it? Not more not less just +1 on every hole. When I was on the quest to concur my home course, playing 2 ball-worse ball, I did this for a few rounds til I get it, then I see a new way to make par.

Thanks for the advice, I usually break 80 3 or 4 times here but my swing is all over the place this year. I'm 32 and haven't had a lesson since I was 14. Might be time for a tune up...

  3. Spur and Shankster:

Being a product of Mr. Jefferson's University, you guys are hurting me. :-). However, during my Wahoo days, there was no VTech, it was VPI and they were Gobblers of some sort. Now they are the Hokies, which I understand to be a castrated turkey. Never the less, I wish your team the best and be assured that you are welcomed to party in Charlottesville like they did in the old days during Easters Week when people would travel to enjoy the ":Best Party in the Country".

I know many consider it a sin but I actually pull for UVA... When they're not playing the Hokies of course 😉 #statepride

  4. maybe try and add weight for slow greens. i find the red day was very light and was good on fast icy green but wasn't good on slow greens

    Taylormade M2 - Driver

    Taylormade M2 - 3W

    Callaway Apex - 3i-9ie

    Vokey SM6 - 46°, 54°, 60°

    SC - Newport M1

    Taylormade - TP5X

Yes, love this putter on fast greens and I will definitely be looking for a weight kit.

  5. Found out the other day that the Tour Red is useless for me on slow greens. Which really sucks because on quick greens I love this one. May have to go back to my GoLo as I could make it work for slow or fast greens.

  6. I'm looking at making the jump to the Taylormade Spider putter. Anyone have it and could offer some feedback? I've got a dual balance Scotty but can't make a thing when the greens aren't rolling fast and smooth.

I have the Tour Red and it is very a very stable putter. I haven't used it on slow greens yet so can't answer that but no putter will help on greens that aren't smooth.

  7. It'll happen, been there. Took me FOREVER to break 80! Still don't on a regular basis.

    Keep the faith!!

I only break 80 2-3 times a year, I really should more often but always make dumb decisions 😂. Week before last I was 3 over on the front, usually I'm better on the back. Shoot freaking 10 over on the back for an 83 😢

  8. 45/45=90... Still chasing the white whale. Honestly this was the most frustrating way to do it. 6 pars, 6 Bogeys, 6 Double's. Had a par streak on the back 9 of 2 holes going, Was feeling good, then the dreaded 205 yd par 3 thats over a valley, so you cant miss short, took a double, next hole par 5, double, looked at my playing partner and said there goes my sub 90. 2 holes left 16 over, hole I always struggle with par'd. Needed a 5 or better on the last hole, decided to play it smart and put the driver away for my hybrid (best distance club in the bag) Duffed the tee shot about 100 yards, great recovery shot about 80 yards out (watch said it was 105 when I looked at it before the shot) pulled out my 100 club, 15 yards behind the pin on the fringe. Putting has been my strength all day, beautiful lag putt, about 18 inches from the hole tops (all I have to do it tap it in) and I break 90! Guys I'm with say that's good (they know I never miss those). Couldnt take a milestone on a gimme. Lined it up, the GPS watch decided to vibrate right as I went to putt, pushed it for a 6... 90 again. (we had no one behind us, so I attempted the putt 10 more times, drained all 10).

Man that sucks but you'll get there, you are so close.

  9. Gotcha...I'm sure T or one of the Staff that handles it will catch up soon. I know when I joined, I forget who I PM'd but it was up within a day or two at most.

Thanks for helping the site grow!!

Thanks, and it's not that big a deal. Plus I'm really enjoying it here, lots of great info and awesome people.

  10. I meant you're a busy man, you said you were slacking in donating. I was just giving you a break on yourself. Plus you're recovering from all those wounds.

But I'm sure X is Busy as well now that you mention it :) Was the PM bounced back?

When you try to send a message it says he can't receive anymore. I've sent T a message too but it hasn't been read 😢
