Nice. My mom lives up in Carnation. I've only ever played at Twin Rivers in Preston around that area, what else is there down the valley?
Mt SI is right there as is Blue heron.. both a pretty good course.. Blue Heron is a little rough in places but is usually easy to get on and will test you for sure.. it is very fun to play..

Great score! I've never played Desert Canyon very well. Even though I can keep it in play, it always seemed like eI was in the wrong spots.
Next time you head over the mountains, let me know if you would like to play somewhere!
Thanks @Kenny B, Next time i get a chance to get over for a couple day we should figure it out.. Sounds good.. I Played great, with my son. But had a 10 stroke swing from front to back.. with 3 lip outs.. so I left plenty on the table.. LOL. and it was 97*.. DAMN.. thought I was going yo melt.. hahaha How do you do it.. As you all know, last month I had back to back terrible rounds 111, and 105. Well I got my redemption. Last week we took our family vacation to Eastern WA. I got to Play the same course I shot the 111 on.. It is Desert Canyon, I great resort course Boasting a 600+ yd Par 5.. you can look at it Here:
http://www.desertcanyonresort.com/
After a so-so warm up.. I proceed to stripe my 1st drive right down the middle, and make par.. I'm off and feeling well.. Birdie 2, Birdie 3 a par 5 after having to drop for second. Then Bogie 4, birdie again number 5... Par out the rest of the front, Shooting a best ever -2 front 9, 34.. DAMN.. back 9 was not as great but steady for me adding 6 bogies and a double.. I was starting getting a tight back on 12.. Errr... still Tie my personal best round score with a 78, with 3 lip outs on the back 9.. but this round was on a harder and longer (600yds) course.. So how did I play.. Freaking AWESOME.. Thanks

Went to the range yesterday with the Granddaughter, We had a great time. I struggled for the first 15-20 balls.. WITH a 9 iron, and a wedge.. I was slicing, a 9 iron.. WTH.. Things just felt off. I helped the GD and explained how compressing the ball pops it up in the air.. then stepped back in 1st ball stripped it.. 2nd ball smoked.. It felt good.. broke out the driver and ripped one over the flag at 235 on the fly so after a few more, worked my way through the bag flushing most of the club with a few mishits thrown in to keep me focused. But the whole afternoon was great, got to spend time with my Gd and hit some balls. what more could I ask for.. She goes for her 3rd lesson with a local pro and is playing really well..

You got this man! You'll figure it out and look back on these big numbers and laugh...it happens to all of us. Keep your head up!
Thanks, the last time I posted such big numbers was the day after we got back from Vegas.. I broke 120 that day, with the same friend... He also was over 120 that day... so it didn't hurt as bad.. LOL

Big numbers are easy to do at both of those courses!!
Still doesn't make it any easier.. LOL.. I wish I could have said I figured things out as it went but that didn't happen.. LOL Ice cold beer did help ease some of the pain..

Well, Just got back from a great weekend playing in Eastern Wash. Played Desert Canyon on Friday, and Bear Mt. Ranch on Sat. I Played two back to back terrible rounds. Friday I shot a whopping 113 2nd worst round that I can remember, on a course I usually play well. I did have moments of greatness, the highlights were 1st hole which I parred, the 8th which I hit a great tee shot into a par 3 but pushed left slightly and parred.. That is where the fun stopped. I even carded a 13, I can't remember the last time I carded anything higher than single digits. Saturday was another LONG day. I opened with a 9 and only had 1 pars.. to Shoot a nice easy 106, My buddy proceeded to Shoot his personal best at the same course, and 87. I carded 3 9's, what a mess.. Seriously contemplated giving up golf, until i got 3 ice cold Coronas in me then I started to rethink things.. But I do think I'll take a week off before playing again.. Damn game..

We got there once with a buddy who had not played it yet and he was saying how can you miss it it's 10,000 sq Ft How can you miss it.. And he promptly dumped his tee shot into the water... LOL.. I actually prefer the This par 3 there.. love the whole course though..

I think I have a couple of Golf Smith putter heads somewhere, both had been shafted for demo and not played, can't remember what they are, one has the weight ports on the toe and the heel. If you're interested I will go find them and give you the details.
That would be great. I'd really appreciate it.. Thanks

I'm looking for somewhere that sells good quality, inexpensive putter heads. I have a Snake Eyes that I built 23 yrs ago. It is a nice head. I'm looking to build one But i do not want to get a cheap Crappy head. Also I would prefer a non-painted one.. Anyone have any ideas?? Something in the $20-30 range would be perfect. I have checked Hireko, Golf works, and a few others..

"John Daly walks into a new bar and reads a sign that hangs over the bar:
FREE BEER! FREE BEER FOR THE PERSON WHO CAN PASS THE TEST!
So John asks the bartender what the test is.
Bartender says, “Well, first you have to drink that whole gallon of pepper tequila, the WHOLE thing at once and you can’t make a face while doing it. Second, there’s a ‘gator out back with a sore tooth…you have to remove it with your bare hands. Third, there’s a woman up-stairs who’s never had an orgasm. You gotta make her have one and make things right for her.”
John says, “Well, I’ve done some outrageous things in my life, but as much as I would love free beer, I won’t do it. You have to be nuts to drink a gallon of pepper tequila and then it gets crazier from there.”
Well, as time goes on John drinks a few, he asks, “Wherez zat teeqeelah?” He grabs the gallon of pepper tequila with both hands, and downs it with a big slurp and tears are now streaming down his face.
Next, he staggers out back and soon all the people inside hear the most frightening roaring and thumping, and then silence. John staggers back into the bar, his shirt ripped and big scratches were all over his body.
“Now” he says “Where’s that woman with the sore tooth?”

I have had to show SWMBO a couple of times the threads where I have be selected.. Including CCC #2 she did not believe I was getting a whole bag of clubs.. Now after that when I say I testing something she doesn't even blink "Oh, ok so your playing golf, Ok.. " My golf spy has changed my life.. hahahaha

I happen to have an old Ping Eye ball in red/white.. I would play these in a heart beat. I have putted and chipped with the Pings and love the effect.. Whether or Not I would use them for every round not sure until I try them, but Yes I would try them and play with them..

I have a several times.. Wait, those were my hopes and dreams of a great round.. LOL
My buddy left his cell phone in the cart the last day of our golf trip.. Luckily we were staying at my in-laws about 1 hour away that night, had to get up in the morning drive the hour up and back to head home.. Luckily he called the night he realized it and the pro at the clubhouse ran to the carts that we had used, and found it otherwise it would have been gone..
