I got these very cheap, and do not really have any info about them.. I didn’t know that hollow irons were made in the mid/late 80’s.. They look like the newer hollow ping irons, I think. Anyway, does anyone have any info about these? Loft, lie and MOI and such.. They seem very forgiving, and I absolutely dig the looks of these! -gonna regrip them, and give them a chance.. they certainly deserve it! Thanks in advance. Claus Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

Heft / MOI club fitting
Claus Moeller replied to Claus Moeller's topic in Club Making/Fitting/Repair
I could be nice, if #mygolfspy tested both traditionally weighted irons vs. MOI / heft weighting.. Only reason I tried it, was because the 7-10 irons felt 'funny'.. -I even used this method for my driver/wood/hybrid and so far it seems like it works. -
Have anyone tried to fit your clubs, from first of all using your best iron as a baseline, and then changing the swingweight of the rest of your clubs, so the MOI was similar/same as the favorite? I saw an interesting article, where the swingweigts basicly changed 1.3 seingweight for every inch the shaft/club changed.. For instance if your 7 iron was D1, then the 8 iron would be D1.65 and the 9 iron was D2.3 and so on.. (5 iron would be C9.7) I tried this on a HONMA LB280 ironset I got for cheap, because the 4,5 and 6 irons felt so much better than the rest of the irons (set is 3-11 iron

My set of MALTBY true forged irons... these sell for a lot less than bigger name brands, but is still at least as good.. Oh!, and my vintage PING K1 iron set I found on Ebay -nos and they actually feel better to hit than my old (but newer) PING EYE 2's... don't make the mistake and think that older iron designs doesn't work...

I'm wondering if anyone has tested any independent / smaller brands such as Maltby which is way cheaper than the competitors.. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

I use left hand low.. I never even took notice that I changed grip when I was putting, untill a few years after I started playing (when I was 6 or 7 (46 now), when the local pro asked me about it.. I didn't know what he was talking about :-).. ) so I guess I just did what felt natural.. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

I lost my PING ANSER putter I was given back in 1979 or 1980.... (when I was 8 or 9 years old).. I used that putter for about 10 years and sorta stopped playing.. Back in 2000 I was going to England to play a few rounds and have vacation only to find out my putter was missing in the bag, and I bought a PING MYDAY which is nice but didn't work real good for me.. Good news is I found it at my parents garage, only a few months ago, in a corner behind all kinds of stuff :-) So it got away but came back! This putter has had maybe 3 different lengths of shafts on and I recently ha

Waaay back in 1982, on the 10th of july, when I was only 11 years old I made my ace.. I still played the ladies tee's because I was under 12. The hole was the 18th and 162 meters long (177 yards) (from the ladies tee).. I played with an 18 year old golf buddy, who convinced me to play the last 9 holes, but I was a bit reluctant because I 'only' made 19 points at the first 9 holes.. We carried on and I ended up with 45 points in total I think (9 under my handicap which was 37 at the time).. As this was the last hole of the day, the fog was slowly coming in on the course (

Thanks, but I already have a full set of Eye's -and EYE 2's :-) The reason why I wanted this set was, that they are brand 'new' as in never used before, and also for a collecting purpose.. I was a bit surprised to find out, that they actually feel just as nice or better IMO than my newer EYE's and EYE 2's..
