  2. I'd say most of MALTBY's irons are grossly underrated.. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  3. 1968 Firebird daily driver. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. My set of MALTBY true forged irons... these sell for a lot less than bigger name brands, but is still at least as good.. Oh!, and my vintage PING K1 iron set I found on Ebay -nos and they actually feel better to hit than my old (but newer) PING EYE 2's... don't make the mistake and think that older iron designs doesn't work...
  5. Evn roll putter... The one that looks like a ping anser.. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  6. Covfefe Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. I'm wondering if anyone has tested any independent / smaller brands such as Maltby which is way cheaper than the competitors.. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  8. No one have an electric golf cart souvenir?? (Fear and loathing style) Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  9. I use left hand low.. I never even took notice that I changed grip when I was putting, untill a few years after I started playing (when I was 6 or 7 (46 now), when the local pro asked me about it.. I didn't know what he was talking about :-).. ) so I guess I just did what felt natural.. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. I lost my PING ANSER putter I was given back in 1979 or 1980.... (when I was 8 or 9 years old).. I used that putter for about 10 years and sorta stopped playing.. Back in 2000 I was going to England to play a few rounds and have vacation only to find out my putter was missing in the bag, and I bought a PING MYDAY which is nice but didn't work real good for me.. Good news is I found it at my parents garage, only a few months ago, in a corner behind all kinds of stuff :-) So it got away but came back! This putter has had maybe 3 different lengths of shafts on and I recently had 80 grams added in the butt and ofcause a new classic PING putter grip.. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  11. Waaay back in 1982, on the 10th of july, when I was only 11 years old I made my ace.. I still played the ladies tee's because I was under 12. The hole was the 18th and 162 meters long (177 yards) (from the ladies tee).. I played with an 18 year old golf buddy, who convinced me to play the last 9 holes, but I was a bit reluctant because I 'only' made 19 points at the first 9 holes.. We carried on and I ended up with 45 points in total I think (9 under my handicap which was 37 at the time).. As this was the last hole of the day, the fog was slowly coming in on the course (KØGE GOLF CLUB, DENMARK), so we could only barely see the flag on the green.. I took out my 3 wood, and hit a good straight shot, which headed right at the flag.. -But the thing is, on the 18'th hole there was/still is a fairly large bunker in front of the green, and we weren't sure if the ball landed directly in the bunker or it had jumped over it.. We walked down to the green and couldn't find the ball.. I checked behind the green, in the bunkers that was placed there, but no ball.. -My golfbuddy joked about 'It's proberbly in the hole Claus!' .. we checked the front bunker again, and eventually walked up to the cup.. There it was!! TOP-FLITE XL in the cup.. Needless to say we cheered and yelled in surprice and joy Because of that hole-in-one I got my first full set of golf clubs (PING EYE's) and within a few years played in many tournaments here in Denmark.. -Even beat some of the guys who eventually became pros (Thomas Bjorn for instance).. The picture is me receiving a box of chocolate from the lead chairman / president of KØGE GOLF CLUB as a gift because of that hole-in-one. (the ball still hangs in the golf clubs restaurant) Then when I got around 16-17 I started riding BMX, and pretty much quit golf.. But one can never REALLY quit golf, and I've slowly started playing a few times in the last year or so (found a brand new set of PING K1's which I play now).. -Claus
  12. Thanks, but I already have a full set of Eye's -and EYE 2's :-) The reason why I wanted this set was, that they are brand 'new' as in never used before, and also for a collecting purpose.. I was a bit surprised to find out, that they actually feel just as nice or better IMO than my newer EYE's and EYE 2's..
  13. I found the irons on Ebay[emoji4] Very nice find indeed.. ofcause they all have matching serial numbers.. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  14. The shafts are original as far as I can see, with original decal and also pingman on the shaft.. can't find out if they are either regular or stiff... BTW, I also have a set of EYE 2's and tried all 3 different models (7 iron and wedge)... seems like they are very similar in performance on the driving range anyway :-) The price for this set was just 45 Dollars - the grips were actually same price :-) :-) Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  15. I recently found a brand new set og unused PING K1's .. Amazingly there wasn't any sign or usage.. I already have a set of PING Eye's I was given in 1982 when I was 11 years old... Ofcause that set of irons is now very well used, and the new (old) set of K1's seem to play even better than the EYE's... Go figure, since the original K1's have a way older design... A new set of grips was all it took to make these clubs like new Oh by the way, I added white paint in the lower groove which looks kinda cool and like PING's 'newer' designs.. Comments are very welcome.. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
