  1. I have an Evnroll ER1 that's 33” with a 385 gram head. I didn't like the stock Winn 1.18 grip on it. The grip was 85 grams and the putter also comes with a 30 gram counterweight built in. I removed the grip and counterweight and put a Ping PP60 grip on (58 grams) and added an 80 gram counterweight. I love this combo and it has improved my putting tremendously. Here's a link from Tom Wishon in the advantages of counter weighting. Good luck! http://wishongolf.com/improve-your-putting-consistency-with-counter-weighting/ Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  2. Great post! I live in Calabash, 2 miles from the SC border and play down here year round. Always up for getting together with some fellow GolfSpy friends. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  3. its all in the eyes of the beholder. IMHO Dean has improved on the original MTB with the new Black Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. The Black is softer than the Red, just as Dean says. Red is firmer with a bit more spin. For me, the Red is nice but wasn't as consistent as the Black as far as distance with all clubs, especially in the wind. Red felt “heavy” and clicky to me and didn't like the feel. Love the Blacks even more than the original MTB! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. Snell MTB Black. Tried them all, but Snell is the best IMHO! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  6. Jack - North Carolina Ping G400 SFT with Alta CB shaft, regular flex 16.5* Thanks for the opportunity! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. Snell Black! Love the feel and consistency. Similar to the ProV1. Tried the Snell Red and though I enjoyed the added spin, it was inconsistent with distances and poor in the wind, and felt heavy. Also enjoyed the Srixon Q Star Tour. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  9. I always carry toothpicks in my Xikar travel humidor that I keep in my golf bag. Helps with hard draw smokes! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. I'm a member at Tidewater. You will not be disappointed! Great layout, excellent conditions, beautiful views. One of the best tracks down here. I live in Calabash and play many of the courses. Tidewater is one of my favorites! Also heard from the pro at Wild Wing that World Tour and some other top courses are having issues with greens right now Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  11. * Jack * Calabash, NC * Ping G400, Alta CB graphite, regular flex, white dot * 150 yards Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. Have played the original MTB since it was released and it's a very consistent ball. Good distance, checks up nice off wedges, maybe 1-3 yard rollout with mid irons. Tried the Red and they had a heavy feel to me and wasn't as consistent distance wise. Found they curved a bit more off all my clubs. Loved the spin around greens but not a complete ball for all facets of my game. Also not a great wind ball IMHO. Playing the Black now and find them an improvement over the original MTB. Longer off all clubs and still checks up nicely and love the feel. For me, better for my game but both outs
  13. I have the same set-up. Absolutely love them! Kinda glad my SM6's were stolen when I was playing down in Florida. Enjoy!!! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  14. only thing good is looking at Holly Sonders!! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  15. We use our “index” per the mathematical formula and then it is adjusted based off the slope of the course you are playing Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  16. I've played the Red in the wind and haven't had any issues. Two extra clubs, ball slight back in stance, and a 3/4 shot. I've hit many that just stopped dead in its tracks next to the pin. And i have played in 20-30 mph winds down here on the beach. Found it very controllable IMHO. For those that can't flight the ball down, I can see why that might be an issue Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  17. The Pearl is a dirt track now, and Heather Glens closed at the end of 2017. I live in Calabash. Many lost greens due to winter. Avoid The Pearl, Sandpiper, Sea Trails, and Thistle. Crow Creek redid their greens last year and is in top shape. Farmstead is also in good shape. I'm a member at Farmstead, Tidewater, and The Glens .... all great right now! 18. Take your score. Subtract the rating. Multiply by 113. Divide by the slope. Take the 10 best of your last 20. Average it. Multiply by 0.96. That's your handicap! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  19. Just ordered the MTB Black value pack after trying them out. The only ball I will play now! Great job Dean. Been with you from the start and have converted many of my friends to Snell! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  20. I live down here. Tidewater is in excellent shape and a great track. Glen Dornoch and Shaftesbury Glen are also really good courses in great shape. Aberdeen is in great shape and not that expensive. Tradition, Prestick and Arrowhead are also great tracks in really good shape. Can't go wrong with any of The Founders courses. 21. It's really personal preference. I don't wear a glove and love the Lamkin UTX grips. Wear really well and never have an issue with tackiness, especially in the summer months. Regards! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  22. Got my new 54/10S and 58/12D a couple days ago and played with them yesterday. All I can say is exceptional! Great feel, great distance control, and awesome spin. Chipping was a breeze with a nice check-up, and full shots stopped on a dime. Played with the old MTB ball. Like them better than my SM6's that were stolen. Highly recommend. Especially the new D grind. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  23. New SM7 Raw wedges are now available at Wedgeworks! Look awesome! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  24. Merion. Played there 4 times a year as my friend is a member. Played a round behind Nick Price the year Merion hosted the US Open that Justin Rose won. Makes the hair stand up on your neck when you're there with all the history. Truly a masterpiece with a natural layout Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  25. I pre-ordered the 54/10S and 58/12D SM7's through Discount Dan's. $139 each, free shipping & no tax! Estimated shipping date is March 9th. Can't wait as my SM6's were stolen when visiting Florida Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
