  2. I've been playing golf for nearly 40 years. Currently an 8.9 HCP. I love the challenge of putting the last shot (good or bad) out of your mind and playing the next shot. I found MGS several years ago when they did the K-Sig vs Pro V1 review. I know a few casual MGS readers, but no one who is overly active. Originally from Nebraska, but been in VA for 35 years. I play a private club on the south side of the river in Richmond. Best thing is you can pretty much play year round. The worst thing is that at least in the Richmond area there are no really good public courses, and the decent public courses are usually packed on weekends - so private is the best way to get a good golf course and a less than 4 hour round on weekends. But obviously there is a huge cost factor. Currently unemployed (thanks coronavirus), but have spent the last 20+ years in telecommunications. C5 is shorthand for the 5th generation of Corvette, which I drove for many years. Hokie is for Va Tech where I graduated from.

  11. I've been wearing True's since their very first shoe. As others have mentioned their last iteration of shoes had serious build quality issues - my last pair (True Hybrid Elements) only lasted a couple of months before they developed holes were the shoe bends. I switched to an Ecco shoe last year, but could never get comfortable with them - the right shoe wore a blister in my heel almost every time I wore the shoes. So when True announced their new shoes this year I decided to give them one more chance. I ordered a pair of True Originals. I couldn't be more pleased with the shoes. After I wore them for a few weeks I ordered a second pair. Like deejaid mentions the inner boot is a little tight, which makes the shoe hard to get on. I can get them on without a shoe horn, but I usually use one anyway to make it easier. Once the shoe is on my foot I don't find it to be tight at all (and tight shoes drive me nuts since I have a nerve problem in my feet). I play golf 4+ days per week and these are my only two pairs of golf shoes. So far they are holding up great - I have had zero issues with build quality. I also think these shoes are by far the most stylish shoes True has ever made - because of the wide toe box I don't think they will ever be the most stylish golf shoe out there, but these are much more stylish than previous versions.
