  3. I also picked up one of these for $5.99 each (+shipping). I was looking for something a little smaller to rest my clubs on when the grass is still wet. In short - the green repair tool is gold!! I used it for the first time today and wow, was I impressed. You spread the forks on both sides of the ball mark and squeeze it. It does a fantastic job of repairing the mark! Bonus is it keeps my grips dry too. Thanks for the link! -- P.J.
  4. This time of year in Florida, you have to play early in the morning - which means humidity and wet grass. If you miss the green and carry more than one club as you approach - it sure is nice to have something like this. Yes, you could use a towel, but even those get pretty wet quickly. I'm glad a suitable substitute was found!
  5. I just ordered this one! Thank you so much for the link! For those of you curious, $10 each, +$5 shipping. I'm happy to have one on the way! -- P.J.
  6. Several years ago, the Golf Channel held a contest for inventions related to golf. I think it was something "Fore Golf Inventors". Anyhow, the big winner was a product called "The Club Caddy". The Club Caddy clipped on to the bottom of your club, to hold your clubs upright when around wet greens (especially early in the morning) and kept your grips from getting wet. GolfSmith carried it and I bought one. Well, several weeks ago - I lost mine. I've been searching in vain for a replacement. Anyone know where one can be found?!? I've tried all the usual circuits to include eBay and Goo
  7. I think Cut could do themselves a favor and change the name. It comes off as gimicky and if you're trying to sell a performance ball - then that's not what you want your customers to think of. Similarly, I did a review of Snell's original "My Tour Ball". I'm sure my recommendation was echoed by several others, that the name comes off as silly. Snell got the message and changed it later to MTB. Cut could benefit from a similar change... Regardless, I ordered both the Grey and Blue. I played a round with each ball once, but don't really have any comments to add at this point. I didn't
  8. I have to say the Precept Laddie is a rock-ball that I can't stand to play....hard balls and no touch. I bought them because I got custom logo's on them pretty cheap - now I know why! -- P.J.
  9. I was wondering if you ever changed out the grip and if it affected your shot making? Curious if the smaller grip size by the manufacturer was intentional because they learned it was easier to hit chip-type shots with it?!? Good review...thanks for taking the time to do it. -- P.J.
  10. I bought my SkyTrak last year as well - head's up, the "Father's Day Sale" is open and they're currently offering $300 off the regular price. That's the deal I got last year and I've been very happy with the performance of this unit. I had some friends over, who were skeptical about the accuracy, so we set-up some Par 3 Contests. They all chose their clubs that they'd normally hit on the range. The distances were spot-on!! When you blade on, it shows...hit one fat, yep loss in yardage. If you know your game well enough and can tell from the feel when you slice or hook - then you know

  14. I noticed several folks have a "MGS Donor" badge on their posts. I recently donated and was wondering how this gets updated? Does this get updated automatically? or is it like the Titleist/TaylorMade/Callaway, etc badges and I have to add it to my profile?!? Thanks, -- P.J.
  15. I lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado for 13 years, playing year-round golf. I managed to play at least once, every month of the year, for an entire time. Granted, at times, I'd have to drive an hour south to Pueblo to get my round in - but it counted as a round played in Colorado. The ground freezes from December until at least mid-April, so I typically switched to a "winter" ball during that time. For me, it wasn't a softer ball, but more so a mid-range ball, such as a DT Solo, NXT Tour, QStar, Snell's 'Get Sum' or Bridgestone E-series. Basically, it was because they were more afford
  16. I'm guessing you played Blue Water Bay. There's also Rocky Bayou, so guess it could be that one as well. I just moved there in March of this year and I'm still exploring all the courses - there are a bunch of quality places to play in that area - it's awesome! I play most of my rounds at Eglin AFB's course, it's open to the public. It's a fun track, with lots of challenges and holes with elevation changes (somewhat unique in Florida). Stay in touch, next time you're in the area - let me know. It'd be good to get in a round of golf with a MGS 'family' member! -- P.J.
  17. After watching the video on the putter technology, I've really got it in my head that I need to switch to one of the top tech putters. For me, I'm mostly interested in the the EVNROLL, Cleveland TFI 2135 or Ping Ketsch, I'll be keeping my eyes on eBay to try and pick a used one up at a deal. Time to stop using my putter for the way it looks, and focus on what gives me the best opportunity to put the ball in the hole! -- P.J.

  21. You can get the Speedblades for a great deal right now - full sets under $300. Here's another option you may want to consider. The TM RSi's and PSi's added the slots in the face that help with mishits. To be fair, the M2's have them too... If you're a new golfer, you'd probably benefit from that technology. Having said that, the RSi2's are a little older, yet still have that technology. You can find a deal for them on eBay pretty reasonable price (just saw some for $250 + $30 shipping). There are a lot of good choices out there, it would do you some benefit to get fit for the right s
  22. I went with the Mizuno JPX-900 Hot Metal Face. I hit the Forged one's, but the consistency and distance were down for me. -- P.J.
  23. I've been a TaylorMade irons player since the TaylorMade Bubble Burner Oversize model. I bought my first set in 2000. They were new to me (originally released in 1996), first set of graphite irons and 'quality' golf clubs I ever owned. They replaced my starter set, which I'd had for over 15 years - Spalding Executive's. After the Bubble Burners, I bought the TM RAC LT's, then R7 CGB's, Burner 2.0's, then the SLDR's. Of those, the Burner 2.0's were the longest club's I'd ever owned - though I did my best scoring with the SLDR's. I had it in my head, I'd move to the PSi's, or maybe the
