  1. Just this past week I was playing with a buddy who got a real freak injury on the course. He was putting the flagstick back in the hole and all of a sudden screamed out in pain. Turns out the fiberglass flagstick was frayed and he had a shard go through his finger and fishook around so he couldn't pull it out. We were stuck on the green for about a 1/2 hour until paramedics could get there, cut the flagstick and take him to the hospital to remove the rest of it from his hand. Luckily there were no fragments of fiberglass or ligament damage. He was in some serious pain, though. Would the course be liable for something like this? At least cover his medical bills?
  2. It's really nice to see so many genuine members on this forum. It's been a big help for me in just the past month since I joined and you can tell those who are in it for some free stuff vs. those that really buy into the mission of MSG. I agree with most posters here that I would only submit for products I'm interested in but also add that I wouldn't submit for products that I just can't test to the degree they should be tested. For example, with the Epic Drivers. I don't think it would be fair for me to test because in my experience, a driver can (and should be) custom fitted, the shaft can make such a big difference. I wouldn't want to test a product like this and compare to my current driver that has a custom shaft, loft, etc. just wouldn't be fair, no matter how much I would love to have an Epic. I don't share the same perspective for irons (as long as they aren't player/tour irons) or tech.
  3. I like to listen to music while I practice and I'll break up my practice based on songs (keeps it from getting too robotic and repetitive that way). Last night I spent one song working on some non-club drills, two songs taking half swings trying to get into the right impact position, two songs just taking full swings only thinking about the target (as I would on the course). Then one final song doing some putting. I'll typically follow the same routing but work on different aspects of the swing in the first few songs.
  4. @CLTGOLF13 - did you ever sign up for the Rotary Swing membership? If so, what do you think? I did it for a bit last year then had to take a break due to some health issues that kept me from golfing. I found it to be beneficial and for only $20 a month it was worth it for me. Back then, you got 2 swing reviews per month included but it looks like that is now gone away. The swing reviews I did gave me some good insight, although their feedback seemed to try and force you back to the beginning of their training plan (i.e. setup and takeaway). My big thing is to structure my practice. This site helped me do that, and keep me on track to a goal because of the way they have everything laid out. In the past I have gotten distracted by so much information that I'd jump from fix to fix or drill to drill. The Rotary Swing method lays out a somewhat linear path to improvement that you can manage on your own. I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on a series of in-person lessons nor do I have the time to make weekly lessons, so this option was good becuase I can self-pace and practice in my basement for 30-60 minutes a day. I do think you need to understand their methodology and determine if it jives with your perception of a good golf swing. If you don't buy into their methodology or swing concept, at least somewhat, I'd look elsewhere. I don't know I'm completely sold on their method, but again for $20/mo. I find it to be a great option. I just started up again last week and I see they've made some changes to their site. I'll post again in a couple months after I get back up to speed.
