  1. Morning spies. Off to the gym; the grind continues. Time to mix up the daily potions first…
  2. Congrats testers! Really looking forward to your insights on this one. Remember, this is more than just speed training. Stack Putting is a big part of the app; we’ll be looking forward to your feedback on that too!
  3. I can understand that perspective, but it hasn’t happened to me…I’m as fired up for this as ever, largely because I expect a very tightly contested cup. The Ryder Cup is hands down my favorite sports event, and I’m going to have a hard time sleeping even a few hours before getting up at 2 for the first tee time!
  4. Captain Donald made his picks. Aberg, Fleetwood, Hojgaard, Lowry, Rose, and Straka. This is going to a dogfight for the US for sure. McIlroy, Rahm, Hovland seem like surefire point getters, with Fitzpatrick probably belonging in that conversation too.
  5. I envy you. I only went for 2…my bag is already stuffed with UA and Titleist gloves; wife is going to give me the stink-eye when just the 2 show up as it is…
  6. That 3rd step is my favorite. The 2nd, 4th, and 5th step are important and all, but when it comes to forging I’m a big fan of the 3rd step.
  7. So maybe it’s time to revisit this old thread for a bit. Just picked up an Apple Watch. I primarily got it for health monitoring purposes, but Arccos certainly crossed my mind. Much as it will pain me to screw those sensors into my beautiful Edel’s, I plan to get a few rounds in relying on the watch (read “no Link”) and see how that goes.
  8. So, it's not going well. Let me take this time to remind everyone, I once was reasonably fast, and it wasn't that long ago. As evidence, here's a mid-stream snapshot of my Stack driver eSpeeds during a Neural Drive program... After a move and getting back into the swing of things (pun intended), here are the same metrics today, roughly 9 months later... Yeah, that's a 10 mph loss in swing speed, and I can't tell you why. The theory had been that I was overtraining, and I probably was. I've since purchase a Fit for Golf subscription, and it's doing wonders for my overall health and body composition...I'm down to 179 pounds and came in at a decent 13% body fat at my last assessment. But, the speeds aren't there. This Thursday I go in for a full suite of blood work...testosterone levels, cholesterol, thyroid, you name it. Way back in 2011 I complained to the doc of extremely high fatigue and overall abysmal energy levels, and I was then diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis (immune system attacking my own thyroid) and given a little pill to take for the rest of my life. Given that my overall symptoms are very similar, I'm hoping this is as simple as I need a new dosage of thyroid meds. Suffice it to say, something ain't right, and I'm looking for answers. So, fellow spies, forgive me if I bare my soul on the forum as I try to figure out where the hell the MPH went. Meanwhile, I watch this, a lot, because I'm not giving up...
  9. So I have absolutely zero familiarity with the Trailhead GSnap beyond the 30 seconds I just spent looking at it online. This picture really struck me though... I'm 100% speculating, but that pic suggests a device that's looking to force you into a certain position. In my limited (but positive so far) experience with the ProSENDR, I can tell you that the Sean Foley/David Woods training videos place a lot of emphasis on you doing the work and you creating the positions, and that's what they espouse as the pathway to actually learning the movement. I do plan to do an unofficial review once I get a decent amount of reps and rounds under my belt since buying it, but so far I'm a fan of the ProSENDR. I'm a halfway decent ball striker, but I do get across the line and "over-hinged" at the top of my backswing, and I often am guilty of a very upper-body heavy hands & arms swing. See that little lip that nearly covers my finger (in the second pic) when I get my trail wrist into flexion and into the cradle? That effectively prevents that over-hinging move, and I find I pivot and turn my hips more as a result. Once I was more deliberate about clearing my hips and making an in-sequence "ground up" swing when I took this to the range (and it's very easy to practice with, obviously), I saw a clear benefit to my ball-striking. Again, I hope to do an unofficial review in the future. I haven't offered much in feedback yet because I've only scratched the surface...haven't started to use the compression sphere at all. (The blue doggy toy thing.). But so far, I have to say...money well spent. Hope this helps answer you in some way. And nice flatstick in your signature block, by the way. Big fan of Edel lately, for obvious reasons...
  10. Congrats on a beautiful home and a successful move. Always good to have such a stressful event in the rear-view, that’s for sure. And if you catch any neighbor kids on your property, remember…
  11. Congrats Tim! Your hard work is GREATLY appreciated, believe me.
  12. Sorry I missed it. I’m optimistic I’ll be able to get back to being a regular…
  13. Personally I love the picks. JT is the biggest question mark, but based on his track record I don’t see how you can leave him home. He’ll obviously pair with Jordan, who hasn’t exactly been on form either. A lot riding on that pairing I think… Can’t wait for this cup. My leave is already in…I’ll be home and up to watch the first tee shots!
  14. Love these ideas too. Maybe a trial test of My Golf Locker subscription service or something like that? And as for a meet up outside of the annual outing, I have always thought we should all meet up at HQ sometime in Yorktown…
  15. I liked it! A LOT of uneven lies and sloped fairways; made for an interesting return to action, but I did like it. The only problem with it is a lot of long walks to tee boxes…it’s not set up for walking at all, which I normally prefer to do.
  16. Yes and yes! Shot an 85. I’m actually pretty happy with it given I had 2 triples and 3 doubles on the card…couldn’t keep my tee shots on the planet. The Edel’s saved me!
  17. I’m playing golf today!! First time in 3 months. Almost forgot how damn pretty these sticks are…
  18. Yeah, I agree it’s not cheap, and they’re not shy about trying to get more money from you. The first five “Introductory Protocol” training videos are free, but advanced training videos or instruction on how you’re recommended to practice with it require you to pay a one-time access fee…up to $50 in some cases. Not a fan of that nuance for sure.
  19. https://prosendrgolf.com Pretty new and popular training aid with a lot of buzz around it. Rory’s been spotted using it. Me being a sucker for training aids, I couldn’t resist.
  20. Ha! Yeah, I thought of you the first time I put it on, cuz I hate to break it to ya but it wasn’t exactly rocket science positioning it right!
  21. Sorry I missed this one; hope it went well.
