  1. Oh i agree, I myself will not be buying these balls, wanted to see what the community thought about this. I think they'll still get sales from this as uninformed people (everyone that's not part of MGS!! haha) who will see them there and think "hey that looks like a good price for 2 dozen.."
  2. So it looks like the big return is happening... sorta.. not really.. Costco is putting out there own ball yes.. but it's not the same as the one previously launched. This is a 3pcs with an M,M rating (low spin across the board) and from what the blog post says is on par with a lot of garbage balls out there.. with they exception of the Wilson Duo of course. What are your thoughts? will you buy it and play it for the 2 doz for $30?? even though it's not the tour ball that everyone was hoping for?? If you haven't read the blog post it's here.. https://mygolfspy.com/2018-costco-signature-golf-ball/
  3. as the article says these are GI wedges, and the though is to give for forgiveness into the wedges but by doing this and moving away from the blades you loose that shot shaping ability of the blades. The mindset behind it is i would guess is that players that need the GI wedges are not skilled enough to make those different type of shots with consistency or accuracy and thus would not have the need for that ability to be in their wedge. I myself believe more in the combo set approach. That's more stated in the new Mizuno article where you get your GI in your long iron and progressively move into the blades for your wedges. if you haven't read the article written by Tony Covey see below, it's a good one. https://mygolfspy.com/2018-mizuno-mp-18-irons/
  4. Thanks for the redirect to mine. Unfortunately my plans got put on the back burner cause my wife wanted me to build a patio in the back yard first.. Also she wasn't a fan of me clearing out one of the trees to do so..
  5. it's a nice hat and a good price if you're in the USA.. looked at shipping cost to Canada.. $50.57 usd... don't think i feel like paying $90 for a golf hat..
  6. Hey guys, saw this on ebay and was wondering if anyone has bought these bags and what the quality is like and the functionality is of the dividers and pockets?? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Founders-Club-Premium-Cart-Bag-with-14-Way-Organizer-Top-Orange/111646837799?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D45701%26meid%3Dce660a39b2a34eeba094b6a75891f699%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D362059848546&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 Any feed back would be awesome! thanks guys.
  7. i had these irons and loved/hated them! i had them in a graphite shaft which i hated. Always thought i should have keep them and just reshafted them into steel shafts.. If i was looking for a replacement set i would take you up on it. Sadly i'm not currently needing replacement irons..
  8. i have the super stroke 2.0 long grip as i don't like my index finger running off the grip. I am debating on switching over the the super stroke 2.0 flat instead. my buddy has this grip and i love the feel of it.
  9. What ever works best for you is the right thing to do, that's what I always say.. it is actually a very common and proven method that the exhale helps calm and steady your body. Marksmen/snipers use this method when shooting.
  10. I've always wanted to try more of a hybrid driving iron as my fairway woods are probably the worst part of my game. I good with my 4ir but want something that has a higher launch angle and longer distance. If i could get something to have to replace my 5wd for shots around 220yrd and something for my 3wd around 240-250yrd i'd be very happy.
  11. My current gamer is the Taylormade project A, absolutely love this ball. I'm currently testing the Vice Pro golf ball for the forum. Check out our forum review at the link below. https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/20588-official-forum-member-review-vice-propro-plus-golf-balls/ my opinion of them so far is if you like the ProV1 you'll like this ball.
  12. i do a mixture of things, i do have my dominate hand low, but i also extend my index finger on my right hand (dominate) down the length of the putter grip, I find that when i do this it has stopped any wrist action and forces me to use my full arm/body instead of the hands. Also i have added in exhaling before i make my putting stroke. it sound crazy but i'm way more accurate since i've started doing this. It helps relax the body and keep things still.
  13. My swing speed is right in the same range and i've tried a sample sleeve from Newballcoach and i have to say they are a nice ball. I do see a little bit of distance loss vs my usual Project A's and the Vice Pro's that i'm currently testing, but durability wise they are excellent and the spin in the green is great too.
  14. For sure, if you're not using a putter that is allowing you to release/roll the ball properly you'll never be consistent in your putting. It only makes sense to be fitted on the only club you're going to use on every single hole on the course.
  15. Geez.. the worst we have up here is deer on the course, If you head up north you might get a black bear once in a while. Best thing that I've had happen is a red fox ran across the course and my buddy said "hey look guys a little Lion!" and he was dead serious! Too funny.
  16. speed control is a big factor, I read somewhere that an ideal putt for speed is one that would travel 17" past the hole for your odds of making that initial putt (1 foot 5") I've been doing very well at eliminating my 3 putts out of my rounds this year. I played on Monday and had one 3 putt for the entire round and I really should have made that 2nd putt. The other main factor is where your approach shot lands into the green. If you can get that shot with in 8 feet your conversion rate of making that first putt goes way up. if it's out side that 10 feet range you're almost guaranteed to 2 putt
  17. Welcome from Kitchener Ontario, Always glad to see more and more Canadians on here!
  18. This was a fantastic write up. I love that Mizuno is thinking in terms of what best for the golfers needs. Combo sets make so much sense. Give me the choice to get the best product for my needs from all your products for 1 price point. Again FANTASTIC job Mizuno.
  19. Would love to but that's still a bit far for a weekend trip out, best I could do for a weekend trip would be around Saginaw or bay city. That drive would take me about 4-1/2 to 5 hours with the boarder crossing.
  20. my buddy Newballcoach has the Mack Daddies and I've hit them and they seem to be pretty awesome. basically point and shoot, very high ball flight and decent spin. I haven't tried these ones yet as I believe the only way to test wedges is out at the driving range. You'll never find the right one for you if you try them on an artificial hitting surface.
  21. looking forward to reading these reviews! this is a club that I was really hoping I would have been selected for!
  22. Welcome! and congrats to your boy
  23. Welcome! you'll love it here, a great bunch golfers!
  24. Welcome to the forum! there has been talk of getting a bunch of MGS members out for a round in Michigan as a heads up if you wanted to meet some of the members.
