... I have watched Rahm act like a 2 yr old child for years in Europe and the US. Don't know anything about whether the guy is a stand up human away of the course other than the way he acts while playing and I would never play in a 4some with him. I'd hate to be hit in the head with a flying club nor would I want to share 5 hours with his dour, spoiled demeanor. That said, what he chooses to do with his career is none of my business and I don't really care one way or the other but at least going to LIV means I only have to see his temper tantrums in Majors 4 times a year. Win-win.

The appearance of LIV has hampered my enjoyment of professional golf. LIV spawned from a 30-year vendetta from Greg Norman had against the PGA Tour, Saudi Arabia's desire to gain control of major sports entities, and Phil Mickelson's greed.
LIV and how they operate have been the issue here the entire time, in my opinion. The only entity I fault for the fraction in professional golf is LIV. The PGA Tour responded to a hostile takeover attempt.

So Bubba is playing Dynasty and Brooks is playing redraft. I think is goes to show the uncertainty of what and how this is going to look next year or even 3 plus years down the line.

I wish Jon would have been honest regarding his move to LIV. Harold Varner III has been the only honest one to make the switch. But it’s galling when they state the move is to grow the sport. The only thing growing is their bank accounts. This does nothing to grow the sport.

Rahm was completely in the PGA camp and publicly said so last year.
“This is my official, my one and only time I’ll talk about this, where I am officially declaring my fealty to the PGA Tour,” Rahm said in early 2022. “I have a lot of belief in [PGA Tour commissioner] Jay Monahan and the product that they’re going to give us in the future. There has been a lot of talk and speculation about the Saudi league. It’s just not something I believe is the best for me and my future in golf, and I think the best legacy I can accomplish will be with the PGA Tour.”
I suspect that when Monahan went behind all of the loyal players' backs and worked the details of the deal with LIV earlier this year that Rahm's allegiance waned. I think a lot of the players felt betrayed and backdoored. It certainly represents a kick in the **** to the tour as the deadline to work out a deal quickly approaches.

Disappointed to see Jon Rahm going to LIV, if the the WSJ report is to be believed. Jon has vehemently denied this previously but his silence now seems to speak. I’m now less inclined to watch the professional game these days. I’ll stick to my game and golf chat on this fine forum. Oh and lusting at equipment of course.

poprocksncoke got a reaction from Bobbers in Evnroll V-Series Putters - 2023 Forum Review
Hey guys, for those who don’t know me my name is Kirk and I live in Bakersfield California. I have a wonderful wife and have been blessed with 4 amazing children. My 8 year old daughter has finally become interested in playing a little golf now and then so hopefully I can get her to go out on the putting green with me to test out this putter.
I began golfing at the age of 10 with my father and my grandpa at a small 9 hole course in Delano California. I played on the golf teams for Tulare Union High School and for Bakersfield College. Soon after college I started working at Wasco Valley Rose Golf Course and was elected to PGA membership in 1998. I worked at many different golf courses in my time as a PGA member but decided on a career change in 2004. Unfortunately, due to the career change I don’t get to play as much as I used to but can still score in the mid to low 70’s on a regular basis.
Putting is my biggest issue these days, some days it can be lights out and others I couldn’t put the ball into the bunkers around the greens if tried (no, I haven’t really tried). I have always tinkered with different types of putters, blade, anser style, center shafted, teardrop, mallet and even a belly putter. Currently the putter in my bag is an Odyssey White Hot Sabertooth. My dad won this putter in a raffle at a tournament we played at, and I started messing around with it and kicked my Scotty out of my bag and has remained in my bag for probably about 8 years.
It seems like when I do have one of those off days on the green, I lip out an amazing number of puts. I am hoping that the face groove technology with Evnroll’s claims of virtually zero dispersion helps me get a few more of those putts to fall. If they do, I’ll give my dad his putter back.
Being around the forum I have heard about Evnroll for quite a while and have always wanted to give them a try. Everyone that I have heard seems to rave about them, hoping one day I get to rave about them as well.
I choose the EV5.3 mid-slant due to the fact that it seems pretty close to the Sabertooth putter I currently use. Hey, and it kinda looks like the Jailbird putter that all the cool kids are using these days! I noticed I am the only one of the testers that chose a 33” putter. I am 6’ tall but have pretty long arms and having a shorter putter helps me to let my arms hang comfortably.
Thanks to MyGolfSpy and Evnroll for this amazing opportunity to review the 5.3 Duo putter!!
And now I just wait for the dogs to bark at the delivery guy, hopefully soon….
First Impressions (9 out of 10)
When the wife texted me, that the dog went crazy at the door I knew something good was happening. When I arrived home it felt like Christmas, couldn’t wait to open that big box to see what was inside. The box did have a big crease on it but when I opened the box everything was wrapped nicely and in pristine condition. To no surprise it looked like everything I had hoped for except for the fact the head was a little smaller than I had expected but that wouldn’t deter me! I ordered the putter with the black shaft finish and the Gravity Grip. The finish on the shaft really enhanced the overall look of the putter. The Gravity Grip felt really good in my hands and not much different than my current Winn ProX midsize putter grip. Really liked the look of the Duo color on the head. The Evnroll had a bold alignment line that made it easy to line up and the fact that the grooves stopped on both the toe and heel seems like it made it easy to center the ball on the face of the putter. Everything was just as I had ordered and was ready to get out and see what this weapon could do.
The Putter

The Numbers (38 out of 40)
My current putter is an Odyssey White Hot Sabertooth. My typical miss with my current putter is a push. My hopes with the Evnroll and the Face Groove Technology will help me with those pushed lip outs that I dread so much. Took both the Evnroll and the Odyssey to the putting green to put them to the test. Thankfully I was very pleased with the results. While it seems my typical miss is still a push I think it has improved here.
I also took the last 3 rounds I played with the Evnroll and did the best I could in tracking the distance and putts and the percentage of those putts made. One of those rounds was tournament play so I would say the Evnroll held up pretty well.
On The Course (10 out of 10)
20230816_124409.mp4
On the course the looks of this putter translated well to the performance. The claim of the face groove technology seemed to work as Evnroll claims that putts not hit on the center of the putter will roll the same distance as putts hit on the center of the face. Most of the putts I hit from long distances came within a reasonable distance from the hole. Only outlier was from around 10 feet, a few times I blew the ball by the hole farther than my expectations. Of course, I have been known to be aggressive with my putts so that can be expected on occasion.
From 5 feet and in I had loads of confidence in this putter. On occasion I still pushed a few but this is to be expected. I plan on in the future ordering some heavier weights to place on the toe and see if this will make a difference. My last round I played before writing this review was in a tournament. Ending up winning low gross and a dozen ProV’s in yellow (its ok if they don’t go as far as the white ones).
The Good, the bad, the inbetween (19 out of 20)
I was really pleased with the looks and the performance of the Evnroll. The head made it easy to align and the soft feel off the face let me put a good stroke on the ball without worrying about being too aggressive. On shorter putts the head felt very stable and was able to keep the ball rolling online consistently. Only thing I would change is eventually I plan on purchasing some heavier weights for the toe of the putter in hopes to completely eliminate that dreaded push.
Play it or Trade it? (20 out of 20)
Play it! Already had enough confidence in this putter to put it into tournament play. This putter is just so easy to align and feels so good. Due to the price tag this putter may not be for everyone but everyone could benefit by using this putter.
Conclusion
The looks and performance of this putter are amazing. The groove face technology works well especially with the longer putts. Even on the short putts I had more accuracy and confidence in my stroke. Thank you MyGolfSpy for the opportunity to test this putter. If anyone has any questions I would be happy to answer.

Played 18 this morning and am still enjoying the EV5.3 Black with 31 putts today. I’m still feeling really confident with one putts in the 6’ and under range and outside of that confidence is still high for lag putts to get into around a 4-5’ circle of the hole. No three putts today which is always nice. Direction and speed seemed to be getting more and more consistent so tempo is definitely good. Putting has clearly returned as the “no worries” aspect of my game and the EV5.3 Black has helped that happen.

I haven’t been able to get out and play for a couple of weeks due to other obligations so putting in the basement has been the new norm. Decided to start making some videos to change things up a bit. TaylorMade TP5x is a bit too firm for my liking on course but it putts just fine.
Still really enjoying the Evnroll EV5.3 Black. Definitely a good fit for me

Looks like you’re trending in a very positive direction - just over one fewer putts per round, capitalizing on GIR putts to be par or better.
