  1. I'm a traditionalist as well, but I don't mind the team aspect for a few events, but I think the PGA tour core tournaments should remain the same. Liv Golf was originally designed to just be a supplement to PGA Tour and another format just like the offseason PGA tour events. However, the PGA Tour made a big mistake trying to crush LIV out of existence. The LPGA and LET were fine with their players playing the Aramco Series (funded and run by PIF) which looks to be the beta test program for LIV. The Aramco Series did not take over the LPGA and LET tours and was just a supplement format to those tours where LPGA and LET players just play a few events in the Aramco Series. LIV would have been that if the war did not escalate. The only thing I can do without is the music on the golf course at LIV events. I think it takes away from the serious competitive nature of the LIV tournaments and makes it more of a novelty. They should just have the music concert after the golf has ended.
  2. Has anyone noticed the MOI difference in the new10K? The new 10K MOI is the hype this year for a few drivers.
  3. I'm actually looking at the TM BRNR mini driver the most. I just want to hit a few balls with it before, then I would instantly know if it would work for me. But very few stores carry it and even less have any demos with it.
  4. Again, you are taking what I said way too literally. You should try to play with some pros and see how their ball striking shots look when right next to them. It is a totally different reference than an internet discussion or on TV.
  5. Like, I said after, it was kinda a figure of speech and you and @Rickybobby_PR are taking it too literally what I said about "they don't miss shots, everything in the middle of fairway, everything at the flags." They hit their targets a ton whether it be a flag or away from the flag. Not all pros have a wide dispersion with the driver. There are lots of pros that their ball striking is better than others and have a tighter dispersion. When you play with pros, their ball striking has an extremely tight dispersion and extremely rare they miss the center of the clubface, so every shot really looks good. The pros are just way better on all facets of the game. Have you played with pros or just basing your opinions on TV observations?
  6. It was kind of a figure of speech, but trust me, the pros ball striking is extremely impressive and entire games is amazing. However, that is in tournament play on extremely long tough courses with narrow fairways, not on your standard short local courses. Have you played with any pros and seen rounds in 60s? It will change your perspective on how good really they are.
  7. You learn a lot from watching the pros. It is also amazing how incredibly good the golf is. People don't realize how good the pros are until you have played with them. It is really fun to watch how they just tear tough courses apart.
  8. Yeah, I already knew the the pros are just light years above scratch golfers. If you have played with pros and even legit pros that are trying to make it on tour, they are just on another level. 4-7 under is par for them on regular golf courses. They don't miss shots, hit it insanely far, everything is in the middle of the fairway, at the flags, every chip shot is to a couple of feet, and every putt looks like it is going in. It is really impressive how good they are. Pro golf is so deep right now. There are so many good players.
  9. I like that they have 20% cashback rewards on future purchases. Pretty much all golf and regular companies should have programs like that. I think it would really reinforce brand loyalty if they like a product.
  10. Not too unlikely when El Camaleón Golf Club (PGA Mayakoba Classic golf tournament) moved from being a PGA venue to a LIV venue.
  11. It is was a big error on the LPGA. The CME CEO, Duffy thinks it was a snub. There might be more to the story and some drama ahead.
  12. I can see why. The Honda Classic was getting railroaded by the high profile tournaments before and after. It will be interesting to see if Honda moves to LIV as a sponsor instead.
  13. The M-Craft line are quality premium putters. I have the M-Craft wide blade. The milling is really top notch. The ability to adjust the weight is great. Big fan of carbon steel putters, but not a lot of putter companies using carbon steel. Carbon steel has more of solid feel to me. I just wished Mizuno M-Craft had a larger rounded mallet putter.
  14. Wow, impressive. The CNC milling looks excellent. That gold color is stunning.
  15. For Sale: 2021 Mizuno JPX921 Hot Metal Pro ironset. 5-GW. Right-handed. AMT White S300. ***SOLD***
  16. I always wondered if a car ding repair kit would fix those dings. I bet someone has tried.
  17. I like Jack's strategy for hitting in to greens (Tiger followed the same strategy). He would aim for the middle of the green and either draw it or fade it depending on the location of the flag. You really have to command of you ball though.
  18. What kind of golf skills machine is that? Never heard of that.
  19. I thought the rangefinders were a success. Most players I saw were using them. Caddies were not taking time to pace off yardages. Pace seem steady for a tough major with really tough conditions. I can see how pro caddies might not want them because rangefinders take away from their skill and preparation for tournaments. The caddies that work harder pre-tournament may have more accurate yardages. However nowadays, every player/caddie gets a lot of information from yardage books and green slope charts. That is a newer development. Still think rangefinders improve tournament golf.
  20. Phil just played fantastic this week. Outplayed the field. Watch out for him at the US Open on his home course. Oosthuizen still impresses at majors. His ball striking is pure. If he could putt, he would be holding more major trophies.
  21. Might be psychological, might be feel, might be technical, might be something else. Regardless if it improves your game it is worthwhile. Sometimes you just need an equipment change.
  22. The top players in the world will not want to go unless much later in their career. The entire focus of the top players is to win majors because that is what their careers are defined by. However, to me more big money tour events is better around the world because the PGA tour and Korn Ferry tour is so impacted. There are some big names on the Korn Ferry tour that are major winners or multiple PGA tour winners. Not sure if the PGL or SGL is the answer, but I'm pretty sure a lot of players struggling to get on the PGA tour or back to the PGA tour would be interested in playing big money events around the world even if they are not on the PGA tour. There are still a lot of markets where golf hasn't really broken into.
  23. A lot of those are legit, because it is mind over matter. However, for most players the chaos usually wins. The best players are able to get pushed around, ignore the distractions, and still play well. The "I suck" one is my goto excuse and what everyone tells me so it has to be true.
  24. Shot 78. 39-39. Had a double hit chip shot which led to a double bogey. Haha. Sloppy with wedges inside 100 and couldn't get the yardage right. Hit some good shots, hit some bad shots. Just ok round. However, here is a fun fact: I played with interlock grip the front nine and overlap grip the back nine. Experimenting with grips to see which is better. Still undecided.
