  1. That’s the plan, not necessarily bigger, but for sure better. That clubhouse has been here since 1969, definitely needed an upgrade, but didn’t want it this way. Now it’s just a long road to recovery. Glad to see the OGs still here. Hope to be back full time soon! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  2. I know I haven’t been around much lately, I’m sorry about that. I know I can depend on you guys for thoughts and prayers. Last night we lost our clubhouse due to a fire, it’s a complete loss. Just another notch in the 2020 belt. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  3. My clubs invitational tournament was this past weekend, we give out “gift bags” on the first tee. In those bags are, tees, ball mark tool, ball marker, koozie, and a sleeve of ProVs. We order so many boxes that the price went down to $35 a box. One of the perks of being on the board is you get to buy leftovers at cost. So looks like I’m getting a few boxes of brand new ProVs, cheaper than used. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. I start the season with 2 dozen. I usually don’t lose any, but, I do hit trees, cart path, blade them, etc. But, 2 dozen will last me from April-October easy. I buy 5a no logo used balls, ProVs, so around $60-$70 a year. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. The wife just found my stash of 7 pairs [emoji51]. 4 spiked and 3 spike less. 4 solid black, 1 gray, 1 black/blue, and 1 black/yellow. Have specific outfits for the blue and yellow ones. I’m turning into a shoe ho. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  7. Today was my clubs 2 man tournament. My partner and me shot a 33 scrambling, 42 alternate shot, then I fired off a even par 36 in play your own ball (personal record). Good enough for 3rd, cost $100 to get in, 3rd was $300. All in all a pretty good day! Gotta say them CobraF9s are still a great set of sticks, thanks you MGS and Cobra. Still playing everything but the driver, Srixon Z785 took its place. Now that I know it’s possible, under par is next on the list. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  8. I play an almost one brand bag. Everything is Cobra, thank you again MGS #CCC3, except driver and putter. Never could get along with the F9 driver. Game a Srixon Z785 and love it! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  9. I play the same course 90% of the time, everyone I play with does as well, and have for 20+ years. We know off the tee where your ball should be. So, if you hit a good shot but can’t find it, free drop. On the other hand, I play with a guy, not often, that’s 100% by the rules every time he plays. If you’re playing with him and lose a ball, you’re taking the penalty no matter what. Playing by the rules is fair for everyone. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. I play 36 every Saturday, 18 2-3 times during the week. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  11. 1. 28 2. Going on 5 years. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. I was playing in a tournament on a 9 hole course, front 9 second from back tees, back 9 from tips. Shot a 52 on the front then a 38 on the back. Why we make this game so hard I’ll never understand. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  13. Can’t believe nobody has mentioned Finger10. The best glove I’ve ever used. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  14. It would be an 18 degree Srixon driving iron with a project x 6.5 shaft. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  16. Just wanted to stop by and say hey. Haven’t been around for a while, hoping that changes soon. The new position at my club is unbelievably stressful. Trying to balance life, work, and golf is a lot harder than I thought. Then throw in an interview I had at work to become the GM, and I’m stretched to the max. Hope to be back soon chatting away, and trying to learn a thing or two from you “seasoned” members. Just letting you know I haven’t bailed on MGS, just too many irons in the fire at this moment. 17. Thought I could get things ironed out before the start of next season, that’s not gonna happen. Had our annual shareholders meeting tonight, went from clubhouse director to club president. I figure 10x the amount of work and headache will be thrown on my plate. I am extremely honored for the position, but I feel my on course time has automatically been cut in half. I’ll try to keep everything updated, try is the key word here. I feel bad for not participating as much as I would like on here, please forgive me. I’ve never had this kind of responsibility before, at 32 years old, and 2 small kids, it should be an interesting 2020 for sure. Wish me luck! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  18. Everything but the driver, just never could get along with it. Everything else is still F9, and don’t see them leaving for a long time. On a separate note, I haven’t been around much in the last few months. Between being on the board of directors at my club and a new position at work, I haven’t even swung my clubs in almost 8 weeks. I’m hoping over the winter I can get everything ironed out where I can get back on here and on the course more often. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  19. As promised I will keep this alive. It kills me to say, the F9 driver is out of the bag. I’ve replaced it with a M3, more to come on that. The rest of the Cobra lineup is still in the bag, along with the bag. I don’t foresee anything else leaving anytime soon. As I’ve stated before, the driver and I just drifted apart, don’t know why. If I had to guess I just lost confidence in it, without confidence no club sticks around. Maybe after a little separation I’ll give it another shot. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  20. Still hacking away with F9s. Shot a 77 today with 2 doubles, par 72. Had 3 birdies, in a row, which I’ve never done before. Trending handicap is 8.6 now!!! Still struggling with the driver, but the 3 wood is amazing off the tee. I’m loving the Cobras, but I’m giving a lot of credit to being fit for my clubs. Some leaves are starting to fall, that just means season is coming to a close. I’m still gonna keep this thread alive. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  21. A price would help. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  22. I’m still grinding with the speedbacks. It has finally happened, my trending handicap is 9.3!! I’ve waited so long to be a single digit. My driver is still hit and miss, if it wasn’t for that, I could see me in the low 8s for sure. I feel like I’m in the same boat as Bucky, on the LM I was swinging 90-95%, on the course I’m trying to be more conservative and only swing 80% or so. Might need to go from a 6.5 to a 6.0, I’ll keep tinkering and we’ll see what happens. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  23. Well, for the time being I’ve sidelined my driver. I can put my 3 wood down the middle with 20-25 yards difference. I’ll gladly take the loss in yards if that means playing from the fairway. The season is winding down in my area, maybe a month to a month and a half left. I’ll come out next spring with a vengeance to get my driver playable. I honestly think it’s in my head. I’ll continue to work with it on the range, maybe I’ll get it going before the first frost. I’ll keep you all updated on the progress. If all else fails, I do have a Callaway Epic Flash in the garage [emoji6]. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  24. So, no I didn’t learn a dang thing. Hit 3-4 good drives to start, then it’s like I forgot everything I learned the other night. Looks like more range time/lessons for the near future. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  25. Next time I wear my Puma hat and shirt I’ll snap a pic. I haven’t been on here much lately, 10 or so weeks of this challenge will do that to ya. I’ve been struggling lately with my driver, no big secret there, so today I had an impromptu lesson with just my driver. Turns out I was starting my hips to soon and causing me to leave the face open. 2 minutes later, launching them right down the middle. Funny how someone can look at 3-4 swings and tell you one little thing to do that improves everything. Now, can I transfer what I learned tonight to the tee box, we’ll just have to see.
