  1. Welcome from south central KY. I’m headed to Lexington in a few weeks for work. Any recommendations for a course to play while I’m there? Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  2. Everyone else give one shot/story. I gave two stories with one called shot and one awesome hole. Double the fun. I also have been back and forth with Arccos to get my handicap straightened out, now that I did that it cost me some points, I need those back!!! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  3. Thanks Matt and Foz For everyone else, VOTE!! Preferably for me, but I won’t be mad if you don’t, some good stories to chose from. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. Best for last! https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/32002-2019-official-cobraconnect-challenge-3/?do=findComment&comment=546382 Sorry for lack of pics, course has been closed the last 3 days, 4 1/2 inches of rain will do that. I though I would have time to run out just to get some pictures of the holes. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. We didn’t actually play together, we didn’t even play on the same day. The competitors and members participating in last weeks challenge had to have a tracking system, could be Arccos or shot scope, or something along those lines. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  6. Why are some of you voting before all entries are in?? Seems your minds are made up regardless of what anyone post. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. I can’t think of anyone else I would have wanted. Thanks for carrying us to victory. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  8. All about the bag this week, and I gotta say, it’s one of the nicest bags I’ve ever had. Before this bag I gamed a Callaway 14 way cart bag. Even though it was getting old and a little wore, it was still a good bag. The first thing I noticed, besides the fact that the bag is pretty good to look at, was the zippers seem to be well made. I like the all dark colors, not much of a flashy guy. There are plenty of pockets for everything you’ll need on the course. I keep a lot of balls, tees, sunscreen, money, rangefinder, biofreeze, the rain cover it comes with (I don’t have a pic of that, sorry), driver wrench, and there’s still plenty more room to spare. It also comes with a built in cooler pocket, that I still haven’t used, but looks well made. I ALWAYS ride, but if I didn’t, I could see me using the cooler pocket. It’s not that big, but I’m sure you could fit a good 4 cans or bottles in there, with room for ice. There is also a umbrella pocket on the side, but once again I always ride, so no need for that either. Plus I don’t plan on playing in the rain. The 14 way divider is awesome! I use midsized grips, and I’ve never had a problem getting a club out or putting one back in. The putter slot is massive, don’t think any size putter grip would have a problem there. Don’t that look just lovely. I would rate this cart bag 10-10, and would highly recommended it to anyone wanting a light, stylish, well made cart bag. They also have many different color options. The bag is one of my favorite pieces with the CCC3. If I got rid of every club, the bag would most definitely stay with me. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  9. No effect for me. Friday’s round went terrible, tee shots all over the place. Saturday’s round was so good because even if I missed the fairways, I wasn’t in trouble with trees or anything like that. I’m seriously thinking about less than driver on several holes at my course now, especially the shorter par 4s. We shall see the next time I head out. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. Don’t know what they’ll talk about or even if they talk, but I bet they have the longest average drive of any other grouping. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  11. Yeah so this just happened today. My best round ever !! And even had two putts that lipped out. Very well could have been 73. It was one of those days where driver was great and putter was spot on, irons where their usual. Now that I know it’s possible, it’s really gonna suck when I head back to mid and upper 80s [emoji17]. But I’m going to stay optimistic and say it’s 70s from here on out [emoji16].
  12. Ok. So the other competitors know my Arccos handicap has been messed up this whole time. I’ve been back and forth with the Arccos support people, we’ve finally got it figured out. The course rating and slope rating was wrong for my home course. Now that we got that straightened out my pre Cobra Arccos handicap was 14.7. I’ll give them that, they’ll work hard to figure out any problems you have with their system. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  13. I’m gonna go ahead and post my round. Shot a solid 82 10 over. If some putts that I missed by inches would’ve dropped, it would’ve easily been a 78, would’ve should’ve could’ve. Best part about my round was NO doubles, and 2 birdies. When you tee off with a hybrid, it’s not long enough to get in trouble. So here’s the recap. 4 hybrid, 7 iron, PW, 58* Rating of 71.10 Slope of 129 Gross score of 82 (10 over) Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  14. I know JB is a bad word around here, but you all know he’s my favorite. Let’s go JB!!! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  15. I play with Winn Dri Tac midsized grips, I couldn’t find anything that looked similar, so I just went with what looked the closest. I do miss my Winn’s Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  16. It’s 8:45pm here right now with 80% humidity and 82*. Here’s the next couple of days. And yes I’ll be playing 36 Saturday Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  17. Played my round today, but I’m gonna hold out on posting my score until I know that’s the one I’m turning in. I will tell you I played my home course that’s a rating of 71.10 with a slope of 129. So if I do play again it’ll be at this same course. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  18. We (ccc3 reviewers) have known about this challenge for a while now, as soon as I seen it, I knew it had to be the Foz on my team. Team Blue Bloods!!! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  19. Or it could be that everyone knows The Blue Bloods are here to dominate. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  20. I went with 7iron and PW because I can make those work on the par 3s, 58* is my 100 and in club, and if you read my wood/hybrid review you know someone would have to pry my hybrid out of my hands. The only thing I’m a little concerned with, is on a couple of the par 5s it takes a pretty good knock to reach the fairway. I’m gonna try to get 2-3 rounds in to get the best score I can. 21. Picture overload here!! This is how I had to spend my weekend. It’s a hard life, but hey, someone has to do it. As you can see there’s a lot of slope once you leave the tee box or off the fairways. Better be accurate with the big dog. That’s me on the far left in gray and black, and that’s my uncle with the tournament trophy. He had to shoot 74-72, course rate of 72.10 and slope of 127. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  22. Sorry I’ve been hit and miss the last few days, been playing A LOT of golf. First off I’ve never been much of a 3 wood guy, I’m a digger not a picker. So most of my wood shots came via tee shots. Only if it’s a fluffy lie, or we’re playing lift-clean-place will I hit it off the deck. But when I do hit it, it’s looonnggg. If I hadn’t hit some bad shots off the deck, my average would be a lot better. I do love the way the 3 wood looks, but looks are secondary to me. All I care about is how the club performs, and this thing is a performance machine. As much as I love the looks of the wood, the hybrid is so much better looking, IMO. I actually wish the driver and wood were matte black. But like I said, looks are secondary. Now to my bread and butter, the trusty hybrid. Even if I hit a bad shot, or 2, I still have 100% confidence I’m going to smoke it and it’s going to go where I want. My old hybrid, an Adams, was pretty reliable, but sometimes it had times I couldn’t hit it. Mostly my miss was a big ol nasty hook, just like most hybrids I’ve ever hit. And that brings me to my main point I want to make, this is THE only hybrid I’ve hit that’s not susceptible to hooks. I didn’t realize how big it was until I put my old Adams next to it. Also, it’s one of the heaviest hybrids I’ve held or swung. I think that’s what makes me like it even more. I’m impressed by the performance of the wood, but I can’t live without the hybrid. If I had only one club to keep, it would definitely be the hybrid. If you’re in the market for a wood or hybrid, I highly recommend at least giving these bad boys a shot. The challenge was giving yourself a shot into the green with a wood or hybrid, but my tournament kept me from really going after it. So every shot I hit was one I would hit every day in normal play. This upcoming week is an interesting challenge so be sure to check back in tomorrow to find out. Again I apologize for being late and such a short review but I’m ridiculously tired and wore out, 90 holes in 3 days. The price we testers pay for trying to give you all the best and most unbiased opinions we can [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  23. I’m going to throw my stats out there real quick and then post my review in a bit. Played 90 holes in 3 days. Only 54 recorded (18 hole scramble and 18 holes Arccos got jacked up). So, in the 54 I have recorded, 20 shots with hybrid and 6 shots with 3 wood. No GIR, GUR, or chips within 2 feet (I did try chipping a couple of times). Review later tonight, I’m tired!! Edit: forgot about 36 played last weekend. Add another 9 hybrid shots and another 5 3 wood shots. For a total of 29 hybrids and 11 3 woods. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  24. Update on my stableford tournament. In the last group tomorrow. Have to make up 3 points. Highlights today, 4 birdies, putting and driving better than my norm. Lowlights, 4 doubles and a triple. Could’ve been better, but could’ve been a lot worse. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  25. 1. Yes better 2. Same 3. Yes 4. Yes 5. Not gonna happen 6. No 7. Yes 8. Yes 9. No 10. Same Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
