  1. update for all, Finnleigh is now 3 months old. She has a big scar on her lower spine, as a reminder. She is always smiling and happy, although she has much PT and most likely surgeries ahead to correct, he legs issues. Just wanted to follow up so you won't think I don't appreciate the support.
  2. it is, and the doctor that was in charge is amazing. Thanks.
  3. My son and daughter are expecting their second. Found out she has Spina Binfida, and had to go for surgery. They actually do a C-section, cut into the uterus and operate on the baby. They were able to clos the opening on the spine and get mom and baby put all back together. That was back in the beginning of June. The cerebellum has almost returned to the proper shape of a bowtie, and she has gained almost 2 lbs. Incredible what doctors can do today. They will have to go back to the Cleveland Clinic at 32weeks and she will have to stay there till they take our grandaughter by C-Section ( a second time). There may be some issues that my need further surgeries but everyone is optimistic. This is kinda got problem and kinda not post.
  4. After a bit of a hiatus, I started playing golf again this past May. Playing in a league and at least I'm 3rd from the bottom. Not playing golf last year really put a ding in my stroke play this year. Last Thursday was the first time I felt good striking all my clubs but the ones that will kill your game. My wedge play was a disaster, and has been. That will be something I really concentrate on in the offseason. I had a solid drive on hole 7, then a so so long iron into the green, only when I got there it was short left, in the tall stuff. walked away with a 6. truly sad.
  5. Received an email last night from our league commissioner. It's been 2 years since we had a formal league, and I AM SO STOKED! I seem to be back into good health, and so I look at it as a reset.
  6. That there is a cute little fella. I'd rather deal with that then cane toads. Even the 3M python living in my daughters attic is no issue. He keeps the mice population in check.
  7. Currently, a hunting license is required to take coyotes, although other requirements, including bag limits, are next to nonexistent. Coyote hunting is legal pretty much year-round. Also Ohio is Open Carry.
  8. When I 'm there visiting my daughter I usually run around barefoot. Cane Toads only really come out at night or when raining, Brown snakes like dark quiet places, and the occasional Python only wants rodents. Spiders stay near their nests, and Fruit Bats only like fruit. So I feel quiet safe. Oh, Did I mention the Crocs? Not too worried about the freshies. What am I missing Matt? Dingo's and Roos stay away from people for the most part.
  9. Friends live between North East and Chautauqua Lake. They get the Erie and Ontario Lake Effect Snow. Beautiful area from May to September.
  10. Congratulations, although I am behind the curve on this one.
  11. make sure to get non sanded grout as well. otherwise you will never get the tile clean when it dries.
  12. I think based on my very limited experience and knowledge, placement of your feet in relationship to ball has more to do with the quality of swing than just tee height, or swing speed. I have found when my left foot is in line with the ball, the end result is always good. It may not be a 300 yd drive, but it is straight and in the fairway. Remembering to follow through with the swing is good as well. If not I'm sending the ball to somewhere right. WAY RIGHT.
  13. My son (The Marine) had their Wedding Celebration this week in Capon Springs WV. Turned out to be a sunny and beautiful day. That is the first Fairway behind them. They have a really nice 9 hole course. I even attempted to play.
  14. for my 25th anniversary, my wife and I took our children with their significant others for a trip like this. We rented a 15 passenger van for just 8 of us, and did Niagara Falls, with a stop over to see my parents on our way to Thousand Islands, and then down to Watkins Glen and eventually wine tasting in the finger Lakes before returning back to Columbus. Everyone still talks about it, as if it was just yesterday.
  15. sarcasm and negativity sell. look at SNL, or any late night talk show. They are all banned form my TV.
  16. my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
  17. I feel your pain, although my dad had no use for golf. I played 2 times the first week of June, and then NOTHING, but my arm is not healing. I have an appointment scheduled with the doctor in October to determine next steps.
  18. My Daughter had a shirt made for her newborn. It says Australian made with 50% American parts.
  19. Well Thank You for the well wishes on my Birthday. Hope @rbgntx had a great day as well. Just cleaning up from my vacation this week. Of course everyone waits till you return. I guess it is job security.
  20. This sounds like it will be a great time. I personally haven't played since the week after Memorial Day. I have been resting and trying to rehab the torn muscle in my left fore arm. Very slow going, as I still have pain rotating my arm at the elbow. I'll be on the beach while you are playing soaking up sunshine. Hope to be back in the fall. We will see. Have a BLAST!
  21. Very well explained. Thank you both for your input.
