  1. Darren, NJ JPX EZ Forged 50* GW, Vokey SM5 54* M grind, Cally MD2 Forged 58* Short game is super inconsistent. Strengths - greenside bunker shots. Bounce is my friend. Weaknesses - Suffer from too many thin bullets on pitches and chips. Probably have the wrong grinds. Or just inconsistent technique. But I'll just blame the equipment. 2. I took some swings with the TA1 demo 7i the other day and, tbh, i liked it a helluva lot more than the standard Callaway Rogue 7i. less chunk than the Rogue and was giving better numbers on the juiced sim. felt better than the rogue too. too bad the cavity badging is so cheesy looking. i think that'll probably be enough to turn off quite a few potential buyers. no one wants to spend $600 on something that looks like it costs $200 and throw it in the bag. shallow? yes, but that's life.
  3. Does it really matter what number is written on the bottom of the club as long as you hit it the distance and trajectory you want to hit it? who cares if the PW is an old school 9i, a GW the old PW, etc. Other than ego, what's the difference b/w hitting a 21* club from 1988 or 2018?

  8. no idea how it would impact. but i'll give it a try at the range to find out. too bad the range is out of balls right now. buried under a foot of snow.
  9. for a right handed golfer, the left index finger overlaps the top of the right pinky - think interlock, but without the interlocking pinky and index finger. same as the putting grip style, but on full shots.
  10. I've taught myself to play with the 10 finger...but has anyone tried the reverse overlap? in trying to find ways to keep my hands in sync, i've taken some dry swings with this grip and it feels pretty nice. the snowy weather has prevented me from trying out on the range or the course. i tend to leak the ball right - anywhere from a straight ball to a baby fade to, in the worst of circumstances, a full on push, and was wondering if this might help.
  11. I wish I could afford (and have the game to play) those MB-001's. Just being able to see the attention to detail of Japanese craftsmen, whether it is golf clubs, sushi, blademaking, etc., is breathtaking.
  12. Just curious...how many have tested or played these clubs that Lynx looks like they're knocking off? The Dynacraft irons look pretty nice...a little old school, but very nice.
