  1. This post has been extremely efficient and gave me what I needed to know. Thank you fellas
  2. Another thumbs up for the optimizer. Brand agnostic and a great tool.
  3. 50 is my workhorse…gets most of the action in a round and often for full or partial swings inside 100 yards. I like to hit little stingers with it. The shape of the S159 is very similar to my SM8 with the exception being the line from the hosel to the toe is slightly straighter without as much bulge and that is something I really like. 54/55 is not a club I get along with well. The S grind was not my ideal choice but I needed something in a pinch and purchased the SM9 knowing I would likely just use it for the medium sand we have up here. It does not get a lot of full swings and with the S159 I went H grind. I want to be able to use it more often for short sided swings where I can open the face and get creative. The H will allow that, the S hasn’t been able to as much. 59/60 is for short sided when I want to get creative. Almost no full swings. I went T grind 58 bent to 59 for some additional bounce. It’ll play around 7* bounce for me which is not too intimidating in the fairway and will be a lot of fun in the rough if I get the chance to open one up and hit some high ones. I am most excited for all for different reasons…I see this as giving me a LOT of opportunity to test my creativity.
  4. Might have to throw in a photo of a Nick Tahou’s plate just for fun Hope I can do this one justice
  5. In college and working in the golf business I was fiercely loyal to the ProV1X. It was such a good ball. And over the last several years it’s been amusing to watch the evolution of the X. Now comparing that to the AVX (which I know very little of) and the left dash, it definitely piques my curiosity. …the endless pursuit of the best gear is an endless pursuit.
  6. Took the 50* out for a couple chips while waiting for my daughter to hop off the bus. Really good feel and a lot of grit. The grass that bit between each shot was aggressively present. When I played the PING Tour wedge in 2005-2008 it was a nice profile but I do not recall having this much immediate feedback. It was significant enough that I did a double take and noticed how well it spun the ball. It reminds me of my Cleveland 900 Tours that I adored. Stay tuned…
  7. I'm glad I asked...thanks @RickyBobby_PR and @GregGarner... The promotion looks very appealing but I also take your points seriously...committing to 4 dozen for something that may not be great despite its MGS results is worth thinking about. Thanks again for chiming in.
  8. Guess what… Quick little teaser before I can get into some first impressions. Here’s what I’ll say in the interim…these are not what I’ve been accustomed to seeing from PING. Look alone, these raise the bar…
  9. Titleist can’t help themselves and they’re emailing me daily sending reminders about the loyalty rewarded program. I’ve loved the Srixon XV and have plenty of stock. Curiosity has struck and I’m wondering if the hype is real. Since they’re in stock, is the Left Dash really worth trying? I would love to hear your thoughts.
  10. Looking like our delivery window is imminent. We’ve been told to keep on the lookout for some cardboard boxes to arrive very soon. Super excited to get this thread going
  11. NC partnered with Cleveland golf many years ago…right around the time Vijay was racking up wins. It was timely for them and really helped their sales volume…in the same regard that UnderArmour signed Spieth before his Masters victory. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.
  12. I’d throw out Never Compromise putters as one of the better forgotten brands. But within this discussion some of the best forgotten clubs ever made were these:
  13. We’re getting closer. Meanwhile dreaming of hitting some fun shots like this… IMG_8659.mov
  14. Sure do...and I really love how he plays the AMT...
  15. Good to hear this…I wish I could get outdoors, Mother Nature had other plans. It is looking more and more like our weather will begin to soften up around next week. Which is good timing
  16. “Just looking” will be on my MGS tombstone
  17. The only thing right now is the possibility of building a 2023 T150 3 iron to replace the U505 in my bag.
  18. If you’re thinking there’s something better out there then I will say with 100% certainty (from personal experience) that you will lack trust in this club until you find what else is out there. I’d always recommend dialing it in and if that means a fitting then I would say go for it.
  19. Man I dunno If it’s a typical wind I usually club up or down by 1 club. I don’t know how I could conceptually offer an objective number for how I decide. It’s all feel and I wish I could explain this better.
  20. It’s all time. I don’t want to miss out on time with my family…now that my wife and daughter are more interested in playing / practicing it becomes more fun and more frequent.
  21. Driving the ball has always been my favorite and best part of my game. Any chance to put the ball anywhere you want on a tee box, teed at a certain height gives you the most control over your game. Fairways, rough and putts...you're stuck with where you end up...I always thought having a driver gave me an edge.
  22. Garsen seells a similar shaped grip and it's an interesting concept. I put this one on my MEZZ two years ago and putted with it for a few weeks before I gave up. https://garsengolf.com/collections/shop/products/max?variant=40870263750812
