  1. Leon, just looking at the launch angle by itself, those numbers are excellent. Off to a great start and it’s good to see the clubs validated themselves.
  2. Of course! And definitely worth trying to solve. Hope yours arrives soon
  3. Currently testing the PING S159’s and they’re really something nice. I’ve been a Vokey loyalist for years and I am at the point where I’m comfortable saying they’re better.
  4. To sum up today’s play, these made my round really easy. I feel incredibly comfortable on the course gauging distances and short shots offer a lot of versatility between wedge choices. Below is one more, the first one I recorded this morning and it was an approach I historically would dread…forward pin to a back to front slope green. I hit the 59 without any fear and had an 8 footer left for my 3.
  5. Today was my first 9 holes with a broom. It wasn’t great. While the greens are in WNY spring condition, lagging distances was super difficult. Anything inside 4’ felt really easy once I had my alignment down. I did make a 15’ for par which felt nice. Speed control will certainly be my biggest priority this next several weeks and months.
  6. US Kids isn’t the least expensive route but I would imagine as many other families buy clubs for their kids, they also outgrow them. If you can find a used set in the target color code, you’ll get a great set for a really good price.
  7. Nine holes today on a very familiar what you see is what you get course. I wasn’t interested in keeping score and purposefully hit tee shots to give me anything from 30-120 yards into the green. Below are some YouTube links of videos I took today…for the longest time I was terrified of hitting lob wedges from the fairway from 30-40 yards…not today…Also includes some 50 yard pitches, full swings and some 50* pitches…really happy right now… IMG_4157.mov IMG_4155.mov
  8. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I returned from a work trip to Indianapolis this past week and it's good to be home. Every April the city hosts the annual Fire Department Instructors Conference...40,000 attendees throughout the week with plenty of training, exhibits and vendors. Returned safely home to a yard that needs a mow, a ceiling that was successfully patched, a dog who is desperate for my attention and my wife and daughter who are the best of the best. Teeing off in an hour and not playing for score. I am going to try and leave at least 100 into every par 4 and 5 so I can get some practice with the S159 wedges. It's a little dewey and brisk so it should be fun
  9. Back from my travels and get to play 9 tomorrow AM. Weather is not promising. Looking about 43* at tee off. I’m expecting some wet turf so bring it on! Ill have some more pics and thoughts afterwards. Hope you all have a good night.
  10. I love the idea...and while some may disagree, I've always believed that the top hand controls the stroke...reduced taper to allow for better feel up top could theoretically offer a significant benefit for some. If L.A.B. offered something like this I would buy it in a minute. Please keep us posted on how it works.
  11. The Mitsubishi Tensei 1K white is such a great one…It paired well with my G400 LST. Great load, feels amazing and has a great dispersion.
  12. It’s really impressive to witness first hand. The biggest adjustment I’ve had to make is trusting myself to give it a little more knowing it’ll check. Heck of a problem to have…
  13. 11 is such a great par 4. Always loved that among so many great holes.
  14. Rochester in April… So anyways…trying to make the best of this sitch and got some more practice in this AM before the big dogs tee it up this afternoon. This is a mushy damp turf and after hitting each shot I’d clean the face with my shoe…Granted, I’d have a towel on the course…being able to hit shots and see the same trajectory and distance control with wet faces is pretty darn cool. It also helps me validate the hydropearl…so far…so great. The 50 feels so good. I’m not certain if the audio does it justice but this one felt especially solid. I am loving the distance and flighting. IMG_3910.mov With the 59, I am hitting shots I hadn’t been very comfortable with over the last several years. Ground contact is really a pleasure…This video is representative of the two dozen I hit…all landing within a similar margin. I am happy. IMG_3909.mov I am headed to Indianapolis for work this week and I’ll be back posting on-course videos at that time. Still planning to check in with everyone here but I’ll be limited on photo / video content. The good news is that the third and final iteration of this set, the 55* should arrive around next week. There is so much more goodness to come.
  15. My favorite part of these competitions (aside from the phenomenal prizes) is that I can close out the browser on Thursday afternoon knowing I won’t have to spend time wondering if my team has a chance to win.
  16. This is my happy place. Playing for less than one year and loves the game. So anytime we can get practice we can practice
  17. It’s instant validation. When I tested, it was between Mizuno 223’s and the T100’s. The Mizuno’s are incredible irons but these were flat out better. They were so much more precise and for the first time in my golfing career, I had incredible confidence with my irons. It was not uncommon to play 18 and hit 13 or 14 greens in a round. I haven’t played this well in years and it’s because of the T100.
  18. It’s painful watching Tiger. Thoroughly enjoying watching Scottie make par putts today.
  19. I know it’s still early…based on our feedback I find it difficult to believe that any of us would find a reason to boot these from the bag. Universal praise among all four lines is super impressive.
  20. I can see this happening soon and if not for anything else, it’s that it’s stuck in your head…literally the worst feeling.
  21. So far just with the 50* on half swings and approaches. I’m not really sure why… Full swing they’re nearly identical in distance and have made for a very kind acclimation period.
  22. @StrokerAceyour hat and GI system are safe. No joke though…+7 this game is hard. Meanwhlle Scheffler plays the afternoon round in the final group and shoots 72 in that weather. Just incredible talent.
