  1. I couldn’t wait for this test to complete. I ordered a 7-way Anyday Maverick Black Ops bag with the Forum logo.
  2. Good morning Spies, Happy Friday! Today my coach assigned a 5 mile run. Hopefully the weather will remain cooperative. I have not run that distance in over 35 years. After finishing my second cuppa I’ll stretch and hit the road. Looking forward to it. Not much on tap otherwise. Wishing all a wonderful day!
  3. I regularly listen to the Club Junkie Podcast with Brian Knudson. He commented that the cappuccino color on his Mezz putter looks much better in person than what you see on the website and in pictures. He also did a podcast with the DF3 putter which he got in platinum.
  4. I hate you! I am looking to get the DF3 in orange. I will embrace the goldfish because of Ted Lasso. It is an attitude that is especially important when it comes to putting. “You know what the happiest animal on Earth is? It’s a goldfish. You know why? It’s got a ten-second memory. Be a goldfish.”
  5. I am awaiting a dialog with the L.A.B. Golf fitter. My initial reply from them last week was for a shaft length of 34.5" and 68° which is 1 degree flatter from their standard lie. This is the configuration I am looking at the moment.
  6. Good morning Spies, Happy almost Friday. Woke to rain. Hoping for a weather break that will let me get 9 holes in but it isn’t looking very promising. My amazing wife will be at the the SPCA today. They having some of the dogs do “painting”. The artwork will then be sold to raise money. According to the USPS the Rhoback polo I ordered is out fir delivery. Happiest of birthdays to @GolfSpy SAM Your profile picture definitely shows that you are aging gracefully. Wishing all a wonderful day.
  7. Good morning Spies, Happy hump day to those who celebrate it. The needed dental work has not dampened my excitement of the L.A.B. Golf test opportunity. Looking forward to this one indeed. I ordered a Ghost Anyday Maverick Black Ops 7-way bag with the forum logo. Felt it was time to represent. I did get out for 9 yesterday. The course is a bit mushy but the greens have improved a lot in a week. I need to do my first lawn mowing of the season today. Rain is in the forecast so it will be a morning job. I have a 2 mile run on tap today and that may be pushed to the treadmill if the weather predictions hold. Wishing all a wonderful day!
  8. Welcome to the forum! The Good Morning thread is the best place to start your day. So grab a cuppa and dive in with your device of choice.
  9. Have you been sneaking into L.A.B. testers message thread?
  10. Congrats testers! I saw one of the these bags over the weekend. The golfer who had it raved about. I’m looking at one myself.
  11. My morning took a different turn indeed. The high of testing the L.A.B. Golf DF3 putter has been somewhat dampened by the dentist visit. I have a fractured tooth and am in need of a dental implant. Let's just say it's more expensive than a full bag fitting at Club Champion with a complete new bag build including shaft upgrades. That being said, I'm off to play 9.
  12. Good morning Spies, pits a beautiful sunny morning in CNY. For some reason the sun seems extra bright and the coffee is extra tasty for me this morning. I am not even put off by the fact that I can’t golf this morning because I have to see the dentist for any achy tooth. I am incredibly grateful for the L.A.B. Golf DF3 testing opportunity. I feel lucky to getting teamed up with a great group of testers. Looking forward to building my putter and getting out on the green. My wife got into a wound care specialist. I am grateful that she is part of an amazing swim community. One of her swim friends is a retired surgeon who got her into the wound care specialist. While she is disappointed to not being to get back in the water for a few months she knows she is getting better care. She will now focus on her biking. She picked up her Tri-bike from its tuneup so she is looking forward to riding until getting back in the pool. @sirchunksalot good luck. Hope you get your BP sorted out soon. Wishing all a wonderful day!
  13. I am blown away and so very grateful for the opportunity. This is a fun group of testers to be a part of. It was so cool to see a number of the L.A.B Golf putters at the Masters including a DF3 in the hands of a past Masters Champion.
  14. Good morning Spies, Had a nice weekend with friends but feeling a bit under the weather today. My wife had an appointment with a wound care specialist this morning. We are grateful that she was referred there by one of her swim friends who is a surgeon. Her primary care NP was out of her element and now she is getting specialist care. But she will be out of swimming for 14 weeks. I feel so bad for her. Those of us on the forum are addicted golf and she is addicted to swimming. I sold my old clubs on Saturday at Mike's Golf Outlet. Made some pretty good coin so I ordered my first Rhoback polo and used the NLU 20% off discount code. Wishing all a wonderful day!
  15. I would like to thank the My Golf Spy Forum and L.A.B. Golf for the opportunity to be a tester for the DF3 putter. This is my fourth testing opportunity for the Forum. I previously tested Paradym X Irons, Evnroll ER11v putter and the Shot Scope Pro LX+. I have been an off and on golfer since my mid-20s, after getting out of the Army in the late 80s. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and grew up across the street from Sharp Park Golf Course (an Alister MacKenzie design) in Pacifica, CA but I never played the game as a kid. The first course I ever played a full 18 holes on though was Harding Park, host to the 2020 PGA Championship. I attended the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY. I had Saturday tickets and got absolutely soaked. I live in Central New York with my wife of over 32 years. We bike, she swims (She swam the Alcatraz Race in 2016), and I now run. I never thought I’d start running again. Let alone doing so at age 59. I ran my first 5k shortly after turning 60. In the winter my wife and I like to snowshoe. (This winter was not cooperative in that regard.) I tried my hand at biathlon this past winter, but lack of snow slowed that as well. My professional life started in the U.S. Army where I was trained to maintain and repair medical equipment. Upon my discharge from the U.S. Army, I joined a medical imaging equipment manufacturer where I worked for 31 years specializing in Cardiovascular X-Ray. That company had moved me all over the U.S. My first move took me from California to Connecticut. Work then moved back across the country to the Seattle area. In 2018, my wife and I moved across the country once again to be closer to family, this time to Central New York, just outside of Syracuse. In April of last year, I joined the ranks of the fully retired. We have one son, a former Navy FMF Corpsman who is now a nurse working in Southern California. We were also excited to have a daughter in law join our family in February of this year. I was the officiant who performed the ceremony. It was a very proud day for me. My current home course is Radisson Greens in Baldwinsville, NY. It is an 18-hole par 72 course measuring 6360 yards from the white tees. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. I have a Monday through Thursday membership there and I get out a couple of times a week. The course is very challenging, but I love the layout. It is tree lined and tight in spots with water that I have a real skill in finding. I play golf because I enjoy being out walking the course and if good scores come then it is a bonus. I am also an equipment junkie. Not that I have the budget to truly act upon this addiction, but I do enjoy the design and aesthetics of golf equipment. And if I ever won the lottery, I’d become a putter collector. On the equipment front, my first set of clubs was a Wilson box set with wooden woods. A lot has changed in the equipment world since then. My 2024 bag has been gone through a bit of change in the last year. I was fitted for a PXG 0311 Black Ops driver last month and that is now at the top of my bag. It is an 8° driver set to 9° with a Mitsubishi Diamana S+ 60 regular flex. My 3 wood is a Gen 5 PXG 0311XF 16° set to 17° with a Mitsubishi Tensei Blue AV Raw regular flex, the hybrid is a PXG 0211 19° set to 20° with a Project X Even Flow Riptide regular flex. These clubs were "tweaked" at my PXG Long Game fitting. I have my “get out of trouble club” which is a Ping G410 Crossover 4 with a Mitsubishi Tensei Blue regular flex shaft. My irons are Callaway Paradym X 6 - 51° wedge. I put new wedges in the bag last year. Both are Vokey SM9 wedges. A 54°/12° D grind with a KBS Tour regular flex shaft and a 58°/12° D grind with a KBS Tour regular flex shaft. My putter is a 34” Evnroll ER11v. I use a Shot Scope H4 and all my clubs are tagged. (The H4 seems to have issues with my home course. It is easily confused around the greens. Which makes for spotty putt tracking.) I am also a member of the “Pushcart Mafia” with a Clicgear 3.5+ pushcart. This is probably the single best golf accessory item I have ever owned. The Grooveit Brush ranks a very close second. This will be my first experience with L.A.B. Golf putters. I have followed them and was considering a Mezz 1 Max before this opportunity arose. The number of L.A.B. Golf putters at The Masters is quite impressive. I will be comparing the L.A.B. Golf DF3 putter to the Evnroll ER11v I tested in 2021. During that test as with this test there will be a number of Strokes Gained putting sessions from 5, 10 and 20 feet. This test will also include a session at putting facility that offers either SAM PuttLab or Quintec putting analysis to compare the two putters. The Test Match Vs.
  16. Good morning Spies, Happy Sunday from CT. Enjoyed golf yesterday. The wind was brutal though. The course was soggy. We had a tee time booked at a course. We arrived at the course only to find out that carts were not allowed due to rain. One of our foursome has a physical disability so walking isn’t an option. My friend booked it online and received no notification of the no carts. My home course emails whenever carts aren’t allowed. We were able to find a tee time at another course. @Jean D your simulator is inspiring envy. Well done. Looking forward to the Masters final round. I would be happy if any of the top 3 were to win. Wishing all a wonderful day!
  17. Good wishes for your dog. We went through seizures with our Riley. It’s so hard to watch. The period immediately after the seizure was also tough.
  18. We did a review of the Shot Scope Pro LX+ which includes the H4. It is incredible value for shot tracking. No subscription needed. I use the H4 regularly. Shot Scope is really good about adding features at no extra cost. It does sometimes gets confused on greens on my home course. You manually tag your clubs. I like it better than Arccos. I had a 45 day free trial of Arccos. Arccos was very inconsistent with shot detection and in order to gain access to certain features you had to play a number of rounds. The other big Arccos issue is the requirement for a subscription. If I did not already have the H4 I would go with the Shot Scope V5.
  19. Blustery day well describes my golf today.
  20. Good morning Spies, Greetings from CT. Golf is on tap this morning which is good. My wife a non golfer will be enjoying Mexican food and margaritas. Im happy to see Max Homa high up on the leaderboard. I’m surprised by the number of L.A.B Golf putters in play. Even Phil. Which brings to mind the podcast series the Fire Pit Collective did on L.A.B Golf. Highly recommended. Wishing all a wonderful day!
  21. Option 1 I think. That seems to be more within my comfort zone for testing. I’m not sure my mediocre at best driving skills are suited to Option 2.
  22. Good morning spies! Happy Friday! A nice start to the Masters. I think Sergio was getting fashion tips from Ian Poulter. Scottie is certainly in form. My wife and I are heading to visit friends in CT for the weekend. I have a tee Saturday morning with my golf trip buddies. No trip this year though. There will also be a stop at Mike’s Golf Outlet in Hartford. I have some clubs to sell. I don’t have an immediate need for anything new. My bag is pretty new. The oldest club in my bag now is the Evnroll ER11v I tested for the forum in 2021. The only issue I have with the putter is the fella using it. @cksurfdude glad you got your thermostat wiring sorted out. It took me back my days of installing X-Ray systems and having to pull cables for that. Wishing all a wonderful day!
  23. Best wishes for your good lady. My wife and I are tied to medical imaging. She is a retired X-Ray tech and specialized in mammography for 17 years. I worked for a medical imaging manufacturer for 31 years specializing in cardiovascular X-Ray.
