  1. I tried the Spider X at a demo day a few weeks ago and I can say the feel is noticeably different from the standard Spider. The rep said its significantly more face weighted making it super smooth for a straight back and through putting style. If it wasn't $350 I would have bought one already. 2. The driver at the expo had nothing in the other slots, they were exposed threads. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  3. I was able to hit the Plus and the SFT. I really liked the Plus. I was also able to hit the 3 hybrid, 3 wood, and 6 iron. The irons are a bit chunky, the 3 wood is very nice, while the hybrid is straight fire. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  4. I was able to take a few cuts with the Ping G410, now I cant wait for the official release and a fitting. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  5. The head shape of the G looked to be a little shorter front to back, more rounded at the top and towards the toe. Overall they both looked awesome. The black with the new wave sole is sweet. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  6. I was able to hit the G410 today at an Expo. The pro said he was surprised, he didn't expect to have it but his Rep dropped it off last night. He was given explicit instructions not to let anyone take photos. There was an SFT version and another that I hadn't seen from Ping before. It had a weight in the rear like the photo of the SFT but it had three different positions it could be in. It looks like it should be a slide track but it's not, its three distinct positions you can screw the weight into. The three positions arent in the sole or the crown, it's clearly in the rear pointing away from the face and had a draw, neutral, and fade setting. The crown had some additional fins on it like the sole, but maintained most of the look from the G400. They didn't have a launch monitor set up but the thing was smooth. It sounds better then any Ping driver I've hit before. I'd say ping has another winner on their hands. I might have to replace my Mizuno ST180 this spring. He also had the three wood, Hybrid, and irons. The three wood felt much improved over the G400, but still isn't any better then the competition. While the hybrid was absolutely money. It has the same smooth feeling the driver does. The irons were chunky and not much to write home about. Overall I think they are all solid offerings. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  7. I was able to hit the ST190 at the Des Moines expo, it is awesome! It felt better the the Cobra F9, Titleist TS2, and was comparable (in sound and feel - no launch monitor data was available) to the ping G410. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  8. My son is just over a year old. If you count running around after the him, telling him to swing the cut down 9 iron like I've showed him (he's going to hit everything in his path regardless, might as well make it constructive) then I play all the time! Besides that, my practice is almost non-existent and I might get one round in a week. My wife has been good about me trying to go once a week. However, with coaching high school football and mandatory overtime at work, I haven't tried to play recently. it's not fair to her or my son for me to gone that much. I'm hoping, in the near future, he wants to pick up the game and we can go out together. Until then, I'll keep chasing him around the house, telling him to swing like I showed him.
