  1. I was able to sneak in a quick 18 before the rain hit at my home course. Shot a 81 which is great since they just punched the greens and I couldn't hit a putt lol. Sent from my Pixel using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  2. I wish some reviews would focus more on the feel on the club. I know this can be subjective. More details on what the mis hits do and feel like. We all know that MB blades feel amazing with struck perfectly, and horrible when missed. So something along those lines. I thing a lot of review focus too much on the good hits and not enough on the mishits. Controlling the level of mishits is a great way the average amateur can save a few shots on the course. Driver reviews have gotten better, in the past I hated that they never mentioned how easy or hard it was to tell if the driver was aligned at setup. Also numbers for the sake of numbers don't mean anything. I like seeing a comparison. Such as your old 5 iron to the new one. Sent from my Pixel using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  3. Sage advice. I used to say be watchful of a double digit handicapper who has a dime worn in to all his scoring irons. Sent from my Pixel using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  4. And the afternoon showers here have been crazy. I've only managed to played 2 rounds this month. Sent from my Pixel using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  5. One rule I wish more people would listen to in golf is never offer advice unless asked. Sent from my Pixel using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  6. Still in the market for some new irons. I was pretty much sold on waiting to see what Titlest announces with there new irons later this year, but I got the chance to play a round with Mizuno JPX 900 tour irons and wow those are some of the best feeling irons I have hit in a long time. It brought me back to memories of high school golf and my MP33s. I still plan on waiting but I will be swinging these with the new AP2s in the fitting stall this winter for sure.
  7. The hardest course I've played is Diamondback in Haines City FL. It had a lot of narrow landing areas that had almost no rough. It was either fairway or woods. Our high school golf team used to practice there twice a week and it really taught you to play 3 wood off the tee and the risk vs reward of playing driver. Sadly this course closed down and I can't find any old score cards to share. Other courses seemed difficult to me the first time I played them but if I played there a second day I drastically improved. I shot a 101 from the tips at Champions Gate on the international the first day I played it. Thanks to a wild driver and crazy winds. But the next day I scored a 91. Still crazy winds but I just know what I could get a way with. I will always say the quickest way for a mid to high handicapper to shave a few strokes is to learn proper course management.
  8. I'm waiting for news about the new Titlest 718 AP1/AP2 irons to replace my 710 AP2s. When I decide which ones I want I may try out those new align grips.

  10. I went through 5 or 6 putter grips last year before I settled on the flatso 1.0. I really felt like this grip met all my expectations. It was comfortable to hold and easy to get on line. The guys at SuperStroke really know how to make a sharp look grip too and we all know that matters. A close second was the Iline by Lamkin. I really liked the feel of the grip (soft and quite tacky) on the Lamkin but I didn't like the overall size of the grip. It felt smaller than what I was looking for. I putt left hand low and use midsize grips on the rest of my clubs so that may of made a difference.
