  1. I hate tour only stuff like that when they say they can't make it, even though you know they obviously can!
  2. Their original wedges were supposed to be pretty nice. Once they sold out to Golfsmith that was kind of the end of them though as they went component only. Although I do remember Scott Verplank playing the Golfsmith blades for a while.
  3. You will love it! I have the same club but in stiff flex and it's super easy to hit straight off the turf or tee. Ping really nailed the G400 IMO.

    P2 Grips

I have to rescind my previous "meh" on these. I put one on my old High School golf team gamer Ping Anser. I really, really like the feel of it locking in my left hand. Its a little on the slick side for my tastes but hopefully it will tack up a little over time. I have become mildly addicted to the Ping app putting handicap lately and regardless of putter or grip I always tested out as needing a more upright putter, either a blue (71*) or Green (72*), and my fit for me Edel is a 72* lie angle. Immediately after placing the P2 on the Anser my testing showed to be in the Black (70*) standard lie angle and I seemed to be getting less side spin on putts because of it. So their claims of getting more upright over putts has definitely proven true in my case. I putted so well with this one today on the practice green that I am going to give it a short go in the rotation to see if it can knock the Edel out of the bag.
  5. Zero Cobra stuff at our club. Mostly Titleist and a little bit of Cleveland (wedges and putters). All of their equipment AI have used has been solid though.
  6. I have been using the orange Martini tees for two months now and I have only lost one. Haven't broken one yet. And I was a tee snapping fool with all the other brands. I'm a believer in these, at least from that standpoint. I don't think any of them make your drives go further or straighter.

    P2 Grips

Just got mine in and its a "meh" for me so far. I think I prefer the Flat Cat feel. Definitely not putting this one on the Edel to start with. Gonna have to find a volunteer in the putter shed to try this one on for size.

    P2 Grips

I ordered an aware tour last night. Gotta get it in hand before I decide if it's going on the Edel or not though. I've gotta learn to do air grips because I am cutting a lot of putter grips off and they are pricey. I went with the award tour because it seemed closest in size to the standard flat cat I used to have on a seemore I liked.

    P2 Grips

I am fixing to pull the trigger on either and Aware or a Classic. I am a sucker for a putter grip that might help!
  10. I just put a Tour SNSR straight on my Edel. Liked the Garsen but felt like I was giving up a little distance control. I putted well with it though so the Tour SNSR will definitely be on a short leash. The Tour SNSR is closer in weight to the original Edel grip so I am hoping that helps with the distance control.
  11. Been working with my yellow string that came with my Edel weight kit. Trying to get that 15' putt feel down pat, which I know will lead to even more makes. Not the most fun thing to practice but I know I need to put in the work.
  12. I'm right there with you as a grip hoe! Have a Golf Pride Tour Snsr 104 coming that I think I'm gonna replace the Garsen with on my Edel. I just can't leave well enough alone!
  13. Great thread! Love the gifs of the putter in action. Had never seen one of those putters before.
  14. Been put in club purchase time out for a while lol. Got around it by buying the wife Adams 3,5,7 Tight Lies hat she desperately needs for her bag as a Christmas gift. She refuses to buy herself clubs so I guess it just falls on me.
  15. I have went through a couple putters since my last post on this topic. Got fit with an Edel and tried the round grip for a while but wasn't huge on it. Didn't putt bad with it but had trouble getting comfortable with it. I have a Garsen MAX on it now and I love it. Works great standard or with a claw grip. I had a Tour Sensr red 104cc on an Evnroll putter and it felt fantastic. Just didn't line up the putter right but that was my eyes.
  16. Went to a driver fitting yesterday. The new Ping G400 is a beast. Now I just have to scrape up the money!

    F8

I am going to a driver fitting next week and am hoping they have this one in the cart. Really want to compare it to the new Mizuno and Ping G400.
  18. I had forgotten about the Snell MTB balls. Would never have heard of them if not for here. Most people at my course still have no idea about them. "You're playing a what?" After a couple of holes I get more serious questions about them.
  19. My entire bag in my signature except for the loaner Titleist driver has come from reading MGS. Never would have considered Srixon until they won most wanted GI iron, and the Cobra F7 hybrid reviews really sold me on pulling the trigger there. The Srixon/Cleveland turf interaction and the MGS first look got me to ditch my Vokey wedges for the more forgiving Cleveland CBX wedges. And I went with an Edel putter after reading so many positive things from people on here about their fitting experience. I am the poster child for the site I think. Was a 6-8 handicap when I got on here and have changed out my entire bag, and now down to a 1.5 because of that and a whole lot of short game practice.
  20. I liked my 50 degree CBX so much that I have bought a 56 degree as well today. Gonna have the 50 weakened to 51 to have a five degree gap between my PW GW and SW. Another Vokey getting kicked out of the bag in a quest for more forgiveness. Love the dual v sole turf interaction in the Srixon/Cleveland line.
  21. I got a 50 that replaced a Vokey since I only use that loft for full shots into greens. One of the best decisions I have ever made! I'm a low handicap but I want as much forgiveness as I can bear to look at and these look great at address to me. Havent gotten to handle a higher lofted one though.
  22. Lot of people love those Spiders but they just look horrible to me when i set one down behind the ball. Just seems like too big of a head for a little slant neck putter. That and the terrible finishes that TaylorMade puts on clubs (paint chips) is a big turn off for me. But hey, whatever works for you! If I had made some putts when I tried one I would be talking about how beautiful they are lol
  23. I replaced a Vokey 50* SM6 with a Cleveland CBX 50* and I have been very happy with the extra forgiveness. The 50* is only a fill swing club for me so this style made sense. I keep stats of my rounds and I have hit 18 of 21 greens with it so far, with two misses being yardage mistakes on my part. I'm sticking with my Vokey 54* and 60* though for around the green versatility.
  24. I can't sing enough praises for the fitting that I received from David Edel recently. My putting has improved significantly due to the counter weighting and alignment changes that they made to the putter to fit me. Putts for me in my last 7 rounds prior to receiving my Edel: 33,34,30,37,30,33,34. Since getting my Edel E-3: 29,30,31,30,26.
