Depends on which group of friends I’m playing with....I’ve got a couple of guys that are very serious golfers, they post all rounds to GHIN so with that group it’s declare lost ball and access the penalty. The other group plays more for fun and to “hang with the guys” with that group it’s drop a ball where it “should have been” and play on. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy

2020 Official Member Review: Cleveland RTX Zipcore wedges

I got out for a quick 9 this evening when it finally cooled off the 103* heat index [emoji15][emoji91] I hit the 50* RTX ZIPCORE several times with decent success during the round. 1 particular shot from 71 yards I really liked. I had a down hill lie in the first cut, had to carry a bunker to a back pin. Played the ball back, choked down and took a 3/4 swing with a low follow through. Ball came out low and climbed to tree top high, cleared the bunker and landed 15 feet from the pin..took 2 two hops and then just put on the brakes!! Stopped about 2 feet from the cup for a tap in birdie! On t- 200 replies

Once in a blue moon....yes lol Reminds me of the first time I hit a home run when I was playing little league baseball....I never felt it in my hands...the was just a small “crack of the bat” and I looked up to see it sail over the scoreboard in left field! Sadly it doesn’t happen near enough! Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy

Thanks that’s exactly what I wanted....kinda like you said I REALLY want to play these irons....they look SOOOO good...I love the black model! I’m just not sure whether or not they would fit my game. The demo program is nice..but I’m 1” long and 2* up so hitting a standard length/lie demo club doesn’t help much. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy -

MPR I know you said originally that you were on the high side of the handicap range for these irons....how do you feel these will play for a higher handicap player? I’m playing to a 16-17 at this point but these really have me intrigued. A few years ago I played a set of Bridgestone J40 DPC’s which I think lean more towards players irons than GI irons. I’m so close to pulling the trigger on these! Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy -

There are plenty of good graphite options these days, they aren’t “whipy” like they used to be. I’ve played the Aerotech Steel Fibers (wish I would have never gotten rid of those) and the UST Mayima Recoils (my current shafts) and had no issues with either. As far as flight characteristics, a good fitter can find a graphite shaft to do what ever you want it to do. But the biggest thing for me was less punishment on my wrists and elbows. I’ll never play steel again. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy

That was a great final round..I was hoping for a 4-6 way aggregate playoff but Morikawa changed all that with one swing of the driver. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy

I made a trip today to a new covered driving range that recently opened not too far from me. This range features Top Tracer Range technology in all 54 hitting bays. It’s not quite a full launch monitor but for $20 an hour it’s not bad. It gives you quite a few stats and of course Top Tracer graphics on every shot..unfortunately it doesn’t give you clubhead speed or spin numbers...the later being really important when testing a new wedge [emoji849] Anyway I made the best of it and gave the ZipCore wedge a full workout hitting a variety of shots...full, knockdown, 3/4 and 1/2 swings. I put it- 200 replies
