  1. I just think, I play in those conditions from June - October and it’s even worse in July and August
  2. I have had the same issue on my iPad Pro
  3. Another hot one today..high was 96* with heat index of 116* My driver continues to impress 12/14 fairways 5 GIR ( this is where I’m struggling) 31 putts 46 + 43 = 89 nice to see some sub 90 scores
  4. Played this afternoon…Heat Index was 106… not sure I could have walked
  5. I play a lot of “in between” shots with all of my wedges. I’ve been using the Pelz Method for my short game for a long time. Each of my 4 wedges has 3 “stock positions” then I can alter them by flighting the ball high or low. Basic shots with my 58* wedge 7 o’clock position = 20 yards 9 o’clock position = 50 yards full swing = 80 yards i don’t chip much with my 58* unless I need to hit a flop and I hardly ever hit it from the bunker unless I’m extremely short sided.
  6. I’m going to end up having to get one of these things, had to play quite a bit of cart path only golf lately and an electric trolley would make that easier, plus the Doc says I need to start walking more. I have looked at these and a few other brands…wish there was somewhere local to see them in person. @Motocaddydo you ever sell refurbished units?
  7. Thanks for posting that because I was confused too
  8. Rob, First off THANK YOU for everything that you have done over the years! Those will be some BIG SHOES for MGS to fill! You and I go back a long way and I’m proud to call you a friend. I wish you nothing but success in your future endeavors. A whole new course to manage means you’ll have to leave clubs there to play That means at least 2 more sets l have said for years when OEMS put out a new line they just go ahead a build you a set and send an invoice Good luck my friend, You will be missed
  9. I remember that…lol for some reason that was a no no…lol The regional meetups were great….I remember driving from Houston all the way to Des Moines, Iowa just to play golf for 2 days with a bunch of guys from the internet it was a blast! Too bad he ruined all of that
  10. Lexi totally pulled the wrong club on both 17 and 18, either her out her caddie putter in a bad spot…pretty tough to make bogey on 18 with a wedge in your hand
  11. Lexi blew the field away today, keeping the ball in the fairway will be the key for her tomorrow that rough is no joke.
  12. Ice cold summer shandy hits the spot after yard work
  13. Rahm’s response was much more classy than most would have been, think about it, that decision cost him $1,674,000 not to mention 550 FedEx cup points which would have moved him into 1st place in the standings. Plus 68 points in the Official World Golf Rankings which I think would have moved him back to #1 in the World I guess the biggest thing is his quarantine ends 2 days prior to the start of the US Open on 6/17
  14. I’d love to see something like this happen, most of you know I came from one of the other forums that did a lot of outings and when they were just outings with everybody having fun and playing golf they were great but then they got to be a money grab for the owners of that forum and they weren’t fun anymore. @PlaidJacketI would love to see another one put together in Texas it wouldn’t have to be a tournament just a bunch of dudes getting together and playing some golf over a weekend.
  15. Having a ice cold summer shandy from my kegerator after finishing the yard work!
  16. Managed to avoid the rain and sneak in another “cart path only” round today (have I told you how much I hate cart path only ) course is still really wet, but I continued to hit my driver really well 11/14 fairways (I think the wet fairways helps because the ball doesn’t run as much) still struggling with my approach shots only 4 GIR putter has been hot only 29 putts with no 3 putts 45 + 43 = 88
  17. This is crazy! I’m not a huge Rahm fan but this sucks. I know they have to protect spectators and volunteers but you would think they could let him play as a single tomorrow so he could finish the tournament
  18. I filled out my annual application….I’ve applied every year but never got picked
  19. That’s like the guy that had a walking challenge at work so he put his Fitbit on his dog
  20. I always wonder how our like or dislike of a certain brand can play into your results. I’m not saying you’re being biased, but confidence with clubs definitely plays a part in results at least in my opinion. back when Callaway first released the heaven wood everybody was raving about how easy it was to hear and how long they hit it so I went out and bought, the first rain session I had nothing but snap books so I immediately decided that I couldn’t hit Callaway fairway woods. Anytime anytime a callaway fairway word is given to me I am mediately have a picture in my mind of hitting big snap hooks. Just food for thought
  21. I’m a 17 handicap, I used to be single digit but injuries, some lack of mobility and not being able to play for about 16 months after injury and surgery has caused my game to suffer. I have played blades and MB irons and I can still hit them well most of the time...but there are 3-5 shots a round that are real CLUNKERS...no distance, bad direction....most if not all of those shots would not be anywhere near as bad with GI or SGI irons and 5 errant iron shots can cause 10 or more strokes to your score if you add a few penalty strokes. Does a perfectly struck 7 iron with a blade go further and more accurate than the 7 iron hit well with the GI irons....yes...but a slight miss hit on the GI irons doesn’t yield anywhere near as bad a result as the same shot with blades and the bad misses with the GI irons are MUCH less punishing than the same s*** with the blades. the other issue is shaft flex...I’m not nearly as long as I was 3 years ago because of the injuries..but I still play stiff shafts because my transition with regular flex shafts seem to cause dispersion issues....at least that’s how the fitter explained it.
  22. I had the same issue Sunday...for the last year or so my driver has been hit or miss but my irons, especially my short irons, have been so consistent...but Sunday I striped the ball of the tee...12/14 fairways and one of those misses was hit through a dogleg. but my irons sucked...I hit so many thin or topped shots...Hell, I topped a 9iron into a ravine (I hardly ever hit bad shots with 9 iron or below) thank goodness my chipping game was working and my putter was on fire or my score would have been bad!
