  2. (6) TESTERS WANTED: Kanibi CBD Products

We hear it from golfers all the time.

They want to try CBD, but aren't sure which companies to trust. It's no wonder when up to 70% of the products on the market are contaminated. So, we did some research to help clear things up. This brand checked all the boxes.

Now we want to get your feedback. We're looking for 6 dedicated members to test, review, and keep a product of their choice from Kanibi. This opportunity is open to anyone residing in the US. To be considered, reply to this thread with the following information:

    1. Location
    2. Go to https://kanibi.com/ and list your preferred product
    3. Describe your on-course demeanor
    4. Do you use any sort of fitness tracking device?

I considered moving up to the yellow box (furthest forward), but the rating drops significantly so I'd need to be on point with the driver to capitalize on it.

Now that you've got a decent round under your belt, I think we'd all like to see you give it a go (if you play again this week). Can you break 65 from up there?

I'll lead with the scorecard as the front nine was the best I've ever recorded (1-over 37). Back nine obviously wasn't ideal, but given the challenge I'm very ecstatic about the score. Best round with the SpeedZone stuff in the bag so far!

This is a fantastic weekly challenge! Irons only was good, if a little frustrating with the lack of lofted wedges, but only having longer clubs and wedges makes for quite the conundrum on several holes. Lots of thinking and lots of good opportunities to score for me since I drove the ball well today.

I may have been a bit lucky - we got a heavy rainstorm last night and the course was soaked. (Above is the bunker, err... casual water hazard, on No. 2). This meant no roll with the driver, but on the beneficial side of things, it meant I could run a lot of balls along the ground with my 17 degree hybrid and get them to stop. I hit and parred both par 3s on the front with choked-up and lightly hit 2 hybrid off the tee, and was able to hit a few greens with the hybrid later in the round also.

Hit a lot of quality drives and, wow, did I miss my wedges last week! Combined with some pretty good putting and this was probably the best round I've played all year here. I made three mistakes that cost me four shots:

    • Pulled my drive left OB in the trees on No. 14. This hurt because I had just birdied No. 13 for the first time this year and, in my fit of confidence, opted to pull driver when I should have pulled hybrid.
    • After hitting my second drive into the left rough on No. 14, I pulled my gap wedge when I really needed about 165-170 yards for a usable layup. Complete loss of brain function. While I hit a really nice gap wedge, it only went 130 yards and left me no choice but to hit a hybrid from 160 over water. I gave it my best effort but ended up about 20 yards past the green in some nasty rough, where I had to chip back onto the green and two-putt to escape with a triple bogey.
    • On No. 16 I pushed my drive just right, but knew it should be OK from the tee box. I looked, and looked and looked for the ball but could not find it for minutes. Frustrated, I was just about to head back to the tee box when I saw the ball just hiding in a patch of thick grass next to a tree. For whatever reason, I thought trying to hit the 2 hybrid with no ability to take a back swing was a good idea, and I open-faced it into a pine tree about 15 yards in front of me. Thankfully, I was able to get it back out to the fairway with my next shot, but I should have just hit a wedge to the middle of the fairway in the first place.

I also had back-to-back three putts on No. 11 and No. 12 that didn't feel good. Blemishes on an otherwise fantastic day with the Spider.

Birdied No. 1 also after hitting my drive just into the left rough and sticking my 58 degree wedge to almost tap-in range.

Lots of personal bests in Arccos for this one!

Nice round! How about that Slope/Rating?

I don't think I'm gonna get a chance to do this one this week, but if I were, I'd strongly consider moving up to the front tees and just treating the course like 18 par-3s. Drive at everything and test my short game for birdies. Anybody planning to do a similar strategy?

  5. Headed into the last week of the regular season, who's gonna make the playoffs? It's a tight crunch!!! Reminder, top 30 will make it in to the playoffs and the playoffs themselves run during the PGA playoffs.

In other news, anyone here (that's not already in the league) interested in Fantasy Football?? We're taking names now over here:

Just a heads up to all, we're probably changing the platform this year. Not sure which one just yet...but thought you should know that we're not likely to be returning to Fantrax.

@GolfSpy STUDque Are titleist TMB series considered hybrid or irons? I use the 716 3 and the 718 4.

Also I rotate wedges depending on the course, so I have a 48, 52, 56 and 58, is it acceptable for me to have all 4 at on my bag at once?

I got to look in the basement, I used to have, a 5 and 7 woods, I don't know if the wife got rid of them or not, the would be perfect for this challenge.

I re challenge all of the competitors.

But realistically the next obvious competitor is @daviddvm

I don’t represent the USGA and this is just a challenge for fun and small prizes. Make your best judgements based on the rules I set out and let the big dogs eat.

Anyways, is this challenge limited to 18-hole rounds? It still doesn't specify!

@GolfSpy STUDque - we able to submit a 9 hole round?  I can squeeze 9 in tomorrow after work, but I'm looking at rain all week.

18 hole rounds only. Sorry but gotta do it. You can split the round up over a few days if you’d like, but we need a full 18 hole score on the same course/tees.

Back from vacation feeling refreshed. Thanks to @GolfSpy MPR for covering this week. The handoff was perfect timing as his newest family addition arrived so I guess I'll be repaying the favor for some of his tasks 🙂

Catching back up on this thread was a lot. Just trying to keep up with this week's member challenge, wanted to offer a reminder; we've developed a special formula for these challenges to normalize across all golfers, HC, course difficulty, etc. So you guys need to submit your HC, Slope/Rating of the course played, and Gross Score. As you can imagine, there's some missing data. Here's what I've got for this week's challenge....

    @goaliewales14 @xOldBenKenobiX and @MaxEntropy submitted their rounds 100%

@palvord @toehold57 and @yungkory have yet to play.

@gavinski91 @Erik-M @Lacassem and @Nunfa0 need to add their HC, Slope, and Rating

@HeathS16 almost walked through the door providing his Slope, but I still need your HC and Rating.

Is there Anything/Anyone else that I missed?

1-58 this week. Good thing my big guns are back next week. Looking like things may be tightening up on the leaderboard with 6 weeks left (including this week) until the playoffs.

Man I'm just trying to hang onto a spot in the playoffs at all. This restart hasn't been kind to the ole Stud Muffins.
