I'm playing at white plains golf course Monday at 1210 if anyone is available.
Ah! That’s not too far from me at all. I usually try to get a round or two there each year but haven’t this year for obvious reasons. Would’ve loved to join you but I’ll sadly be putting together a monster swing set all weekend.

The site is going to count the Tuesday game for this week? That's the one that seems a little sketchy considering scores are usually final by Tuesday morning - I know some other sites have adapted to that, but just want to make sure this one does too.
This is on the league home page but I’m not sure if it’s available to all or just commissioners. In short, yes Tuesday counts for this week:
For week 5, the Broncos-Patriots game has been moved to Monday night at 5:00pm ET, and the Bills-Titans game has been moved to Tuesday night at 7:00pm ET.
The NFL hasn't played on a Tuesday night since 10 years ago when a Monday night game was postponed by a day because of weather. This year there may be multiple Tuesday games because of COVID-19 related issues. Here's how MFL will be handling Tuesday games:
- The scores will count in the current week. So the upcoming Tuesday night game will be included in week 5 scores.
- IMPORTANT: Please do NOT change any of your league calendar or waiver settings.
- The system will still process your waiver events, but they will be delayed until about 2 hours after the Tuesday night game is completed.
- In other words, there will be a waiver "blackout" for about 24 hours. Any waiver events that you have scheduled between the end of the Monday night game and the end of the Tuesday night game will be postponed until after the Tuesday night game is finished being processed. This will happen automatically, so you don't need to change any of your league settings or calendar events.
- About 2 hours after the Tuesday night game is completed, the final scores and standings for week 5 will be calculated. It will take a couple of hours to process the final stats and generate the final results and update the standings, etc. Then all of the waiver processing that would normally have been done on Tuesday during the day will be processed after all of that is done.
- This includes Guillotine Leagues that normally have their Guillotine event on Tuesday morning. The process of dropping the lowest scoring team will now happen on Wednesday morning instead of Tuesday morning.
How will this affect your league? For most leagues that lock players on Sunday or Monday and then process waivers (blind bidding or regular waivers) on Wednesdays, this Tuesday game will not have any impact. Everything will still operate like a normal week except that you'll have to wait an extra day for final results.
If your league normally does waiver processing on Tuesdays, then those transactions will be delayed automatically. You won't need to make any changes to your league calendar. The waivers will still process as expected, but not until a couple of hours after the Tuesday game results are finalized.

In terms of the Bills/Titans game are we to do something similar to last week? It is rescheduled for Tuesday, however if it's cancelled that well would obviously suck. Also in terms of a forfeit are we able to name backups similar to last week?
Yeah so we’ll roll with the punches for reschedule issues. Will definitely reuse the backup player mechanism if it looks like any games are in jeopardy. Right now, it appears as if all games scheduled for week 5 will still happen in week 5

Ok here we go. Saw this on Twitter and don’t see any good reason not to do it for the NE/KC decision:

I must be missing something.
For mobile:
Click on "Players" box.
Apply Filters. This could be position type, etc (Default setting shows only Free Agents)
I sort one of two ways; YTD Points Decending, or Projected Points Decending.
Click on Player, then "Manage" at the top right. Add him from there.
Managing the roster is even easier.
Click "Lineup"
Highlight the guys you want playing. (It shows YTD Points and Projected points here too)
Submit.
@revkev there’s this plus there’s also a Fantasy Sharks research section on the desktop version for players too that’ll display much more and apply it to our league.

Judging by the average points scored against you, you started the season off against the most successful teams. (Avergaging 140 points against)
You could go on a streak any game.
Same here. I’m happy with how my team is scoring vs projections but I’m just not scoring enough to beat the teams I’m playing. Could be like 5 places higher in the standings with different matchups but that’s just not how it’s shaking out. Gonna be real interesting once we get into byes and COVID cancelations:

Yeah guys sorry about the confusion, we’re going to hit up MFL to look into our setup from their end. There’s a lot of tick boxes and a lot of conflicting options to check. We thought we had it set up correctly but it’s just not behaving the way we expected. We’ll chalk it up to learning a new platform but still want to extend our sincere apologies if it’s cost you a claim thus far.

How do the survivor pool work?
I am curious because I missed the first two weeks of it
Week 3 is the first official week of it.

Cam Newton for an injured Jets receiver I don't care how good the guy is, that just feels unfair. I currently have the three top-scoring QBs in the league. It's by accident, but it's a pretty good advantage over the opponents. Countered.
1 hour ago, GolfSpy Stroker said:haha... well, if this was a superflex league you'd be living large but since you can only start 1 QB having 4 of them actually hurts you more than it helps you.
1 and a backup is fine but 4 ??? the easiest position to stream in all of fantasy is QB.
Cam isn't that much better than Stafford and Crowder is a PPR target hog. they literally have no one else in NY.good luck
Get a room you two. (Slack)

Alright Stud division, I’ve got Dion Lewis (Freeman may take a bit to get acquainted) and Mike Davis on the trading block.. could go for a WR2/3 with both RBs having potentially good upside
Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpyI won’t be a dance partner but love the play. Bid big on waivers then use them as trade bait. Good luck!

So you’ve got an imaginary budget of blind bidding dollars. That’s how the waivers are determined. When you put in a waiver request, you bid blindly how much of your budget you’d spend on the player and the highest bid wins. You’ve got $100 to last the whole season.
3 hours ago, Apolloshowl said:Some BIG bids! Happy to get Freeman even if it mean missing out on a few others I had put bids in on.
Same! Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I’m thrilled to have him.
48 minutes ago, GolfSpy Stroker said:quite odd, TBH... not sure folks realize that the 100 is supposed to last all 13 weeks and the playoffs?
would really be a bummer to get to the end and your opponent can block you with their remaining FAAB....
I think there’s just multiple strategies to it. As the season goes on, the waiver pool gets thinner with talent. The past few years I’ve made it to the end of the season with plenty of budget left, no one to spend it on, and having missed out on guys along the way. By the playoffs, you’re already boned if you’re relying on the wire to make or break your matchup.
48 minutes ago, KurtActual said:Edit: Also, I dont understand why the league will allow someone more than 14 roster spots after a trade. I am unable to sign a free agent if my roster is full, wouldnt that be basically the same thing?
I think it lets that happen just to push trades through but it forces your roster to be the correct size before you can submit your lineup.

Yeah, of all the platforms I’ve used, this is my least favorite UI but at least it works as intended. I do like some of the fantasy sharks integrations so that’s a nice touch but I....... think..... Fantrax has......themorefriendlysetup. Ugh that was tough to get through. I think I threw up a little in my mouth.

This.
Lost McCaffery for “multiple weeks” and Sutton’s our for the season too. But the fun is trying to find those gems to stay competitive. Just submitting the same lineup every week would get kind of boring.
Quick question to the commish(s)...when can I actually move a guy to the IR? The app currently tells me McCaffery’s “Not Eligible”...
I think you need to wait until his status officially changes to Out or IR. I had to sit on Kittle for a few days before I could move him.

Hello darkness my old friend. Another decent week and another 2 losses. Add my name to the pile of folks that wishes they started Conner. 0-4 is gonna be tough to come back from but there’s still hope if @B.Boston did it last year.
I’m gonna push the survivor pool back to start next week since only like 7 people submitted for this week. We’ll consider that a practice run but from here, non picks will just be strikes.

I assume picking Cleveland is frowned upon! Lol
Ha! I actually tried but nay, it's not an option anymore.
Depending on how this week goes, I may bump it back to start week 3. Wouldn't want half the league to take a strike off the bat because they didn't have enough time to know they need to make a pick.
-
Hey guys, I was poking around the website trying to figure out what's what and came across the Survivor pool. I went ahead and enabled it starting this week but just know this is purely for fun. You'll find the link at the top of your home page to enter your pick.
How it works is each week you pick a team that you KNOW will win this week. Get the pick wrong, and you receive a strike. 3 strikes and yerrrrr out! The catch is that each owner may only pick each NFL team once over the course of the entire season.
The winner will be whichever team Survives the longest this season. The season runs all the way through the Super Bowl. Good luck!

And now, the time has come. Dare I say, this challenge has been the best one yet. It's feedback from the competitors and fans like this that have really driven the challenge to another level. Thanks to our 5 test subjects and the hundreds of regular followers in the thread. This has been a great season and we thank you for coming along for the ride.
Overall Stats:
@B.Boston not only steered the ship into the harbor, he did a power slide into his space with style by wrapping up the overall category running away. This was truly a dominating performance by someone who took his game to the absolute next level. Who wouldn't want to cut their handicap in half? He didn't just improve one area of his game to bring down the HC either, this is across-the-board improvement. Very impressive!
It's also very fun to look at the group's improvement as everyone experienced gains in multiple aspects of their games. You're each going to be formidable opponents in your next tournament. One of the keys to this challenge's success is total buy in and our guys really delivered with a staggering 95.5 rounds amongst them. There's no such thing as protecting the handicap in this group.

Which brings us to our final standings and podium prizes:
- We can #cuetheduckboats for @B.Boston and his fan base. For the grand prize, he'll be bringing home a custom Cobra License Plate Trophy PLUS 1 polo, 1 pair of pants or shorts, 1 hat, 1 pair of shoes.
- @daviddvm produced our best ONE length showing to date with a strong second place and even spent a little bit of time in the lead of our challenge. For his prize, he'll be sporting a PUMA Golf cap, polo and pair of shoes
- Although he had to withdraw from the competitive piece of the challenge early, @Headhammer managed to do enough throughout his competitive weeks to get himself onto the podium still. It's interesting to think about what would've happened had he not injured his elbow. He can impress his physical therapist with his new PUMA Golf cap and Polo
I would be remiss if I didn't also acknowledge @GB13 and @edingc for their gallant efforts and detailed reviews throughout the process. I hope you guys enjoyed the challenge as much as the fans enjoyed heckling you!

And our last prize of the day....the member of the thread. This one isn't always an easy choice but for CCC4, the decision was clear. We chose someone that participated day in day out, asked tons of questions, spammed the memes, and competed in each weekly challenge. You know him, you love him, (you may be slightly annoyed by him); this year's winner is:
Congrats! Shoot me a PM to claim your grand prize of a Cobra SPEEDZONE Driver and Arccos for the full set.

How does this waiver bidding work? I see you get “$100” and highest bidder prolly gets the player but does it reset each week to $100 or is it $100 for the whole season??
Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy$100 budget for the whole season. You can get some money back (or give some away) via trades. It’s a big strategy.

Week 8 Recap
@B.Boston closed off the season with another strong week shooting a CCNet 66.1, the lowest individual score of the season. What a time to go lowwwwww! Playing well on such a difficult course certainly helped him here. The overall category (x2) is still yet to be decided but he's certainly taken the challenge by the short ones. Great shooting!
This whole season has been incredibly impressive for the duck boats as he's only finished outside the top two twice all year. Here's the current standings:
For our members, the prop bets introduced a new wrinkle to the challenge. With 62 entries, 5 of you went a perfect 4 for 4: @cnosil @DevilDog29 @golfish! @Scott33 and @The 19th Hole. Here's how they shook out:
- Winner: B.Boston
- Disagreements with Caddie: Way under, 3
- Total Net Strokes: Over, 285.7
- Total Putts: Over, 132
The oddsmaker (cough cough) could've been better but the house would still be bringing home money so that's all that matters. To settle this out for our prize this week, here's the wheel spin:
Congrats on your prize! Shoot me a PM to claim your kicks.

And, it's with bittersweet finality that we draw the competitive aspect of this challenge to a close. Thanks to our competitors for bearing the cross this season and to every one of the members who made the #COBRACONNECT Challenge 4 the best yet! It's been a pleasure serving you.
Over the next few days, our competitors will be submitting their overall standings and final thoughts for the challenge and Cobra lineup. If you've followed along (either casually or intensely) please share your favorite parts of the challenge and maybe highlight a few things you'd like to see for future challenges.
