  1. And remember, any pro stats are with narrow fairways and the golfers are having to hit further into that narrower fairway. That's a stat we mortals should be able to realistically go after on our regular courses. GIR and putting is another story. Although slower, less complicated greens are certainly in our advantage
  2. I watched that wedge chartvideo and reverse constructed a whole new swing from it. Essentially, my 1/2 swing is where I can set my wrists at 90 degrees by the time my arms are level with the ground. After that I just worked up from there to 3/4 and full swing maintaining that 90 degree wrist set. Made an enormous difference in distance control and went from fade to draw. Club - 1/2 - 3/4 - Full LW (60) - 45 - 60 - 75 SW (56) - 55 - 70 - 95 GW (52) - 65 - 85 - 105 Still working on the speed control, but what I've done so far helped me rethink my whole game. I highly recomm
  3. Ok, maybe I'm late to the show but this is the first I'm seeing of him. Unbelievable! I hope nothing more than him making the open
  4. Congrats all! Great to get more international flavor in the reviews
  5. I just took the plunge and ordered a Ping G series... Come on US Postal Service! First time owning a driver that's less than 5 years old!
  6. Hey all. I'm super late to this discussion, but my first career was in exercise physiology and nutrition. If anyone ever has questions about diet, exercise or even if some article is real or not, please don't hesitate to use me as a resource. I can't promise it'll make you a better golfer but ya never know. Cheers
  7. Haha, I did not see the hacker name. When I play on tournaments I will try play one or two rounds by myself where I replicate tournament conditions. Everything from the breakfast to warm-up to the last putt. I'm going to be in my own head most of the tournament round so I don't like playing with any of my buddies who will be taking me out of that mindset.
  8. Example: Rory showed up a week and a half before this past US Open and was awful. DJ showed up that week and learned it in 3 days. For DJ all that extra practice and focus may make him worse
  9. Do you play your best in those tournaments with the extra practice? Is there a consistent time when you play better?
  10. I left a few strokes out there, too. Snap hooked a drive in the woods on 18 - nervous - and was 6 over through 5 because was still waking up. Under 70 may be tough though [emoji14]
  11. Thanks for all the reviews, advice and community! MGS for life
  12. Welcome! Just remember it's supposed to be fun [emoji4]
