  1. I have been keeping score on my watch for a long time (a holdover from my old Garmin S20). That cadence doesn't bother me while playing. Since I had a golf watch before getting a laser Ranger Finder, I find it easier to use my watch to check yardage and use the hole map features. None of that slows me or my playing group down. Marking the flag can be the only time I'm slowing down play. However, as you said, I'm not checking to see if my watch picked up a club before swinging that part is almost automatic. 2. Concur on the menu navigation. I would love the ability to create my own shortcuts. But that is just a minor request. I’m enjoying the new features on my X5. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I don’t think you can preselect the 9 holes before playing on the phone. I’m use to selecting the play back 9 with no issues but I was trying to accomplish multiple things before teeing off and I can only assume something went wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yes I will email support with my issues.
  5. Today, I used my X5 watch with firmware version 2.1.84 for the second time. At my home course has three 9-hole courses (Red, White, Blue), I played the White and Blue courses. The Good: I had no issues using my X5 with satellite acquisition, club selection, or P-AVG lines during my 4+ hour round. The battery was at 40% after playing. The Bad: When I synced with my phone, not all holes were captured, and it showed me playing the front nine (White course) twice. The WTF: Despite selecting the blue course at the turn, hole tracking was mixed up. Because I was in a hurry to grab a quick bite at the turn, I didn’t finish telling the X5 I wanted to use GPS& Track and Scoring. I corrected this issue before teeing off (at least I thought I did). I used the Personalized Hole Maps feature before teeing off and it showed correct holes on the back nine, suggesting a syncing issue. Despite this, only the first 8 holes were captured on the front nine, and only holes 6-9 were captured on the Back Nine (showing the wrong course). This discrepancy raises questions about the accuracy of hole selection and syncing processes. Recommendation: Enable the selection of two courses for rounds on courses with multiple 9-holes before teeing off to ensure smoother operation and accurate hole tracking.
  6. You haven't looked because you are already a tour player…[emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Is there a way to save your benchmarking handicap? Every time I enter the app, it always defaults to tour player, and I have to readjust it to do my comparison. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Last April, I made the switch from Arccos to ShotScope primarily because of the X5 and the absence of subscription costs. Initially, I was quite critical of the X5 due to its connectivity issues, as many of us experienced. However, I must applaud their customer service and IT team for their outstanding support. Today, I finally had the chance to play a round with update 2.1.84, and I'm happy to say that I didn't encounter any issues whatsoever. I found the update to be highly beneficial, especially in assessing my drive P-AVG and examining the full-hole layout. Big shoutout to the ShotScope staff for their exceptional work! 9. Looks like I will be taking some of my meetings on the course to meet this requirement…[emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Sounds great because the weather in my area should be better for golfing by that time. [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks. Since it’s snowing here I have some time but I’m looking forward to comparing my clubs in the spring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I’m getting a new full bag of clubs soon. I How user-friendly is it to incorporate a second set of Shot Scope X5 tags? intend to compare them with my current set. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. "My strategy" brings Shot Scope a step closer to challenging Arcoss's "Caddie" for navigating new courses. Yet, two key distinctions exist: Arcoss is automatic, accounting for environmental effects, while Shot Scope offers a cost-free alternative. Hopefully, they will continue to improve this feature but for now I’ll pass. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Good point. Yes, my home course also has 3 nines too. In my transition to the back nine, I may not have selected to keep score. I’m still slightly disappointed because I hit some good shots on the back nine and wanted to review their yardages. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. After finishing my first nine holes, I chose the 'play back 9 feature'. I got a drink before starting the back 9. When I checked my watch, I noticed it had returned to the watch face. So, I reselected the GPS, chose "play & track," and continued with my round. After completing my round, I selected "end round." My score was only recorded for the back nine, so I expected to have two separate 9-hole rounds instead of a complete 18-hole round. I'm wondering why my back nine was not recorded and why my front nine was spilt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I played 18 holes, which were split into two separate 9-hole rounds. When I tried to sync them with my watch, only the first nine holes were recorded, but they were split into two events, one for holes 1-7 and another for holes 6-9. I'm aware I can ask for support to merge them into one, but the data for the back nine didn't sync at all. My watch history is now empty, and I'm quite frustrated with this watch. 18. I'm getting to have a second set of golf clubs. If I purchase a full set of tags, can I compare the club data with my current set? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Indeed, it seems like my battery might be faulty. In an attempt to gauge its performance as an everyday watch, I monitored the battery life of my X5. It managed to last approximately 21 hours across two days. Additionally, I've never had 50% battery left after completing an 18-hole round. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. What is the expected battery life for daily use? I tested my X5 today, wearing it for about 14 hours. It started at 100% and dropped to 40% by the time I took it off. Based on this, I'm concerned it might not last a full day tomorrow without a charge. Worth noting, I didn't use GPS mode on my watch today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Impressive! That’s roughly my total time too. I’m happy with having 40% when done. Again, I’m not sure what is causing the battery drain differences. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I believe I've identified a potential issue. When I use my unlocked X5, I noticed that the battery dropped significantly to 11% and 4% while riding in a cart. Typically, when I walk the golf course, my battery hovers around 40%. My theory is that having my watch unlocked might lead to unexpected battery drain due to excessive movement, but this is just a guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I'm waiting for an update that can enhance battery efficiency. Today, I participated in a scrabble golf tournament using my X5 exclusively in GPS mode. Despite starting with a full charge, after a slightly over 5-hour round, my battery plummeted to just 11%. This unpredictable battery drain leaves me uncertain whether my watch will endure an entire round each time I use it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. The other day, I fully charged my X5 watch to 100%. After unplugging it, I went to sleep with the intention of wearing it the next day. However, when I woke up, the watch was at 51% and stuck on the charging display instead of going into sleep mode. Yesterday, while heading to the golf course for a quick 9 holes, I plugged in my watch in case I decided to play 18. Upon unplugging it, the watch still showed the charging screen and wouldn't change. I had to perform a reset and sync to get it working again. I have attached the shot from yesterday after I unplugged it and it still shows charger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I knew you would be back. Not having to pull my phone out was one of the benefits enjoyed when I switched to SS. @Gavin_Shot_Scope looking forward to the future firmware improvements. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
