  1. Looking forward to see how the new Kirkland stacks up to the big boys.
  2. I joined primarily for the reviews. I don't post often but I do read a lot of threads and watch the podcasts.
  3. About 20 years ago we were playing on a cold winter day. The weather had been well below freezing for several weeks. We were on a dogleg left par 5 and I hit a good tee shot and went for the green in 2. The ball faded too much and landed on a frozen pond about 5 feet from the edge. After trying to establish that the ice was thick enough to stand on, I asked my playing partner to stand close by to hand me a club to pull me out in case the ice broke. I was lucky and hit my pitch shot onto the green and birdied the hole.
  4. I used a Sun Mountain 4 wheel microcart for quite a few years. In order to keep from destroying golf bags I got the Sun Mountain Sync bag, which is made for their push carts. I recently got a C-130 bag as a gift and am also looking at getting a different push cart. My friends that have 3 wheel carts seem to be exerting a lot less effort than I do pushing the cart. I will continue to follow this thread with the hopes of the OP comes up with a 3 wheel solution for this specific bag.
  5. 9-10 weeks if I recall correctly. G425 irons 5-PW -1/2" blue dot.
  6. G425 irons 5-pw blue dot alta graphite r -1/4" took 9 1/2 weeks.
  7. I ordered G425 irons -1/4" Blue dot it took 9.5 weeks.
  8. Personally I have had the most success using Danny Maude's chipping technique.
  9. See if you can get current reviews about Riverview. I was told conditions had gone down considerably this year. As stated above Morgan Hill is challenging. Good luck either way.
  10. I've had the HBs 5 - PW for about 8 months. Only regret I have is that I didn't get 4 - PW, an error that will be corrected in the next few weeks. It took a while to get used to lining them up square, but now I love em.
  11. Actually the reviews of the Launcher HBs on this forum were very influential in my purchase of them the end of last season. The reviews were very detailed and subsequent feedback I got after the purchase was very helpful.
  12. Played 9 yesterday close to 40* and windy. If straight is your primary goal, these are your irons. Took me a while to get used to the face alignment, but other than that they were a good choice for me.
  13. Sitting here waiting for the first monster storm of 2019 to hit the NE. November, most of December and all of January have either been extremely wet or cold. Was just getting really used to the HB Launchers in the few nice days we had in December. Waiting for some warm 35+* weather. They do have wide bottoms but are definitely not hybrids. Although not the longest irons out there they do what I wanted, very forgiving eliminating many of the thins and the fats.
  14. Played last week during a warm but very wet day. Have to pay attention to clubface to make sure it is square not open. Conditions were poor but iron play is improving. Unfortunately, I am watching the snow fall with almost 3 inches down already. Don't know when I will be able to play. Monitoring of the irons will be on hold for now.
  15. Finally had some decent weather today and played in an outing. Was very impressed with the HBs. Slight misses only lost marginal distance or were off line minimally. They are very forgiving and solid feeling. It seems that the problems I was having with them early on was what appeared to be a square clubface to me actually wasn't. I have never been a fan of hybrids and don't consider these a set of hybrid irons. They do have wide bottoms but they are and play like irons not hybrids. All in all I feel a lot better about my recent purchase and will provide a more detailed update after another round.
  16. Gonna give it a few more rounds, weather permitting. Hit some really nice shots yesterday. If it continues, I will adjust 1 club. Good advice, thanks.
  17. I have been able to get 2 more rounds in and am starting to see improvement. The trajectory and distance are good. My only issue at this time is the line is off to the right. My miss with my prior set was a pull or a hook. It will take some more time to get used to the HBs, if no improvement I might need to have the lie angles checked and possibly altered.
  18. Semi-fit from same rep at two different demo days. Only modification from standard was + 1/2" in length. It made sense to me since prior set was 1* upright. Hit the range yesterday, I'm awesome off of mats. I will keep updating my progress even though the temperature has dropped to the 40s and low 50s.
  19. Took them out yesterday for their maiden run. Will take some getting use to. Ground was still very soft and a lot of bare spots in fairways. Didn't play well in general, operator error not the tools used. Started hitting them better towards end of round. Will post update after some range time and another round.
  20. Finally got my HBs today 5 to pw. They get their initial trial tomorrow am.
  21. It's is almost 3 weeks since my pro ordered the Launcher HBs. 4-pw was ordered with the understanding that if I didn't want the 4 iron no problem the pro shop will keep with rental clubs. Its pouring rain outside and the temperature is dropping in NJ. Hope they arrive before it really gets cold. Just wanted to keep the thread alive and promise to update once they arrive and I get a chance to use them.
  22. Based on ole gray and Wedgie's reviews, thanks for all the details and feedback by the way, and my limited demo day experiences I just ordered a set of HB irons. Hopefully my results will mirror that of yours gentlemen.
