  1. About 20 years ago we were playing on a cold winter day. The weather had been well below freezing for several weeks. We were on a dogleg left par 5 and I hit a good tee shot and went for the green in 2. The ball faded too much and landed on a frozen pond about 5 feet from the edge. After trying to establish that the ice was thick enough to stand on, I asked my playing partner to stand close by to hand me a club to pull me out in case the ice broke. I was lucky and hit my pitch shot onto the green and birdied the hole.

  2. I used a Sun Mountain 4 wheel microcart for quite a few years. In order to keep from destroying golf bags I got the Sun Mountain Sync bag, which is made for their push carts. I recently got a C-130 bag as a gift and am also looking at getting a different push cart. My friends that have 3 wheel carts seem to be exerting a lot less effort than I do pushing the cart. I will continue to follow this thread with the hopes of the OP comes up with a 3 wheel solution for this specific bag.

  3. Sitting here waiting for the first monster storm of 2019 to hit the NE. November, most of December and all of January have either been extremely wet or cold. Was just getting really used to the HB Launchers in the few nice days we had in December. Waiting for some warm 35+* weather.

They do have wide bottoms but are definitely not hybrids. Although not the longest irons out there they do what I wanted, very forgiving eliminating many of the thins and the fats.

  4. Finally had some decent weather today and played in an outing.  Was very impressed with the HBs. Slight misses only lost marginal distance  or were off line minimally. They are very forgiving and solid feeling.  It seems that the problems I was having with them early on was what appeared to be a square clubface  to me actually wasn't. I have never been a fan of hybrids and don't consider these a set of hybrid irons. They do have wide bottoms but they are and play like irons not hybrids. All in all I feel a lot better about my recent purchase and will provide a more detailed update after another round.

  5. I have been able to get 2 more rounds in and am starting to see improvement. The trajectory and distance are good. My only issue at this time is the line is off to the right. My miss with my prior set was a pull or a hook. It will take some more time to get used to the HBs, if no improvement I might need to have the lie angles checked and possibly altered.

  6. It's is almost 3 weeks since my pro ordered the Launcher HBs. 4-pw was ordered with the understanding that if I didn't want the 4 iron no problem the pro shop will keep with rental clubs. Its pouring rain outside and the temperature is dropping in NJ. Hope they arrive before it really gets cold. Just wanted to keep the thread alive and promise to update once they arrive and I get a chance to use them.
