Played in a two man scramble Saturday morning.  Didn't play my best, but it was enough to pull out second place. For some reason lately, I seem to be losing my driver off to the right which is causing me to not have very many good shots into the greens.  I've got another tournament this afternoon, so hopefully I can find it before that one starts.

I'm not sure what happened to me this weekend, but I just couldn't get anything going.  Actually, the chipping was the best part of my game and that's usually the worst.  I missed way too many fairways which caused me to miss a lot of greens. On the greens I did hit in regulation, I missed just about every birdie putt except one.  I think I ended up around 85-86 and about $20 less than what I started with.

Got a chance to play twice over the long weekend.  Played the first round at a really difficult course about an hour from here, and it beat me up pretty good.  I couldn't figure out my driver on the front nine and that will put you in trouble there. Got it straightened up a bit on the back, so that was a little better, but it was still a rough round altogether. Then played again yesterday at my normal course and shot a 77 after bogeying the first 3 holes, so that was a bit of a confidence booster after the first round.

Well, the tournament is over, and while I played well for the most part, it wasn't quite well enough.  On the first day, I shot a 37 on the front nine, but staggered a little coming in and ended with a 77, which was still the leader in my flight.  So all I had to do was hang on.  Second day, I opened with an even par 36.  I think I started counting my chickens before they hatched, because on the next two holes, I went bogey, triple bogey. I recovered a little, only to drop another double bogey on hole 15.  Had a 4 foot putt that I lipped out on 18 that would have put me in a 3-way tie for 2nd, but I ended up in 4th place.  That's the best I've done in that tournament in a while, but hopefully next year, I can get in the money.

These things have been awesome since I put them in the bag.  I feel really confident every time I hit both of them.  Both feel solid and fly far.  I hit the 3 wood yesterday on short par 4 that played 250 (afternoon scramble and we were playing from the ladies tees) and I landed it on the back of the green and it hopped over.  I'll definitely need to watch my distances on them as compared to my old X-Hot, but I'm loving this thing so far.

Played a couple of practice rounds yesterday and today to get ready for a tournament that starts tomorrow. Yesterday I had a 79 with an 8 on a par 5. I played pretty well other than that one hole. Today, on the front nine, I had a 7 on that same hole, but followed it up with 3 straight birdies. About to start the back nine now. Maybe they'll let me skip that hole for the tournament
