  1. They would not replace the driver as it was a free promotional item and therefore not covered by their warranty. Oh well.
  2. I use Hole19 for tracking my scores and started to get the B2 emails in January. In early April, I decided to bite. Called Patriot Golf and was offered a free driver if I tested their 3,4 & 5 hybrids. Just pay $150 each. Um...what? The sales rep pleasantly explained the cost protects the company and ensures participation. Not to mention helps support the company staffed by veterans. If I wasn’t satisfied, I could return the clubs for a full refund and keep the driver. I decided to go ahead. $479 and 3 weeks later the clubs showed up. Time to test! 4th swing with the 10.5 degree B2 Bomber driver...caved the face in. To their credit, it was easy to hit until then. I don’t have the fastest swing speed 105-110mph, so I was surprised when I looked at the club face and found a ball shaped dent. Oh well, it was free right? The hybrids all performed decently. Easy to hit straight, comparable distances to other hybrids I have hit. But nothing that made me feel like $479 was well spent. The club heads look and feel like late 1990’s tech. Heavier than you would expect and just not pretty. But performance was better than I expected. Time to call for refund! Talked with a nice fella named Dylan who made me several offers to keep the clubs. Send me a free set of irons and they keep the $479. No thanks. Refund me $225 and I keep the hybrids. No thanks. Refund me $300 and I keep the hybrids. So I took that deal and now have 3 hybrids I might use at some point. And a driver with a dented club face. All for the low price of $179. Not the best deal I have ever made. Would I do it over again knowing what I know now? Nope. Lesson learned.
  3. I've read through dozens of posts in this thread and want to thank you all for sharing. I am inspired by the scratch players and those breaking 90 or 100 for the first time. It's refreshing and makes me want to go play! After taking a lesson Friday, I had an erratic weekend shooting 38-46-45 Saturday and 43-46-38 today. Struggled off the tee all weekend until the last 9 when a small change with ball position helped me find the fairways again. Best hole today, #5, 514yd par 5 been eating my lunch lately. Drive 314yd, 5 iron 200yd to center of green, 2 putt birdie. I wasn't trying to crush the drive, just wanted a smooth swing into the fairway. My avg drive is around 250, so you can imagine my surprise. Putter has been better than usual as well and it soothes the soul to finally see some putts drop from 10-15 feet (and a couple from 20-30 [emoji15])! 5. I play on a course with ball-eating trouble on every hole, so I usually play the best budget ball I can find. That has been the Wilson Zip for the last 2 seasons. Decent ball, nothing more, nothing less. Just ordered the new Laddie Extreme balls made by Bridgestone, will try them over the weekend. Have played SrixonZ stars, ProVs, B330s, Chrome softs, NXTs, and most recently the Volvik Vivid. Of these, the Vivid impressed me the most off the tee and around the green. With all that being said, I will continue to play the budget balls until my budget and ball striking allow for the higher end options. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
