  1. I do enjoy walking, but I can only get comfortably around the flat courses or courses with minimal elevation changes when I'm using a push cart. I walked a hilly course (Poppy Hills for those of you who know it) the other week and started to lose my legs around hole 13. This caused me to start spraying my shots and I double bogeyed my way in to the clubhouse... I'm going to make an effort to get out and walk more courses this year, and maybe, after some "training", I'll give the legs another shot at Poppy Hills later in the year.
  2. I routinely play with a foursome that has music playing. It doesn't really bother me when they play music, it's never my type of music so I just tune it out, but I myself would never play music on the course. I prefer to enjoy the natural beauty of the course and the sounds of nature! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  3. I've never been one for hybrids, they just never seem to work for my game... BUT.. A coworker just picked up a Cobra F7 hybrid and I took some whacks with it at the range... Wow... I want one now.. I noticed that it made #1 in MGS Most Wanted Hybrid after I started looking into it... Coincidence? I also just re-shafted my driver with a Kuro Kage Silver TiNi shaft that I got from a friend.. It's up a flex and heavier than what I was playing.. It feels good, now I just gotta get out to the course and see if it plays as well as it feels!
  4. I love this idea! I use that Callaway scorecard holder when I walk and would totally rock an MGS one if it was made.
  5. I've taken back to back summer golf trips to the Phoenix Area and here are some of my favs: Troon North Boulders Quintero Gold Canyon - Dinosaur Mountain We-Ko-Pa TPC Scottsdale - Stadium (It's worth it one time just for the back 9 if you haven't played it already)
  6. With more to come! Have a few nice courses planned in the near future!
  7. Thought I'd share a DIY Ball Marker display I made a while back. I had been looking for one online, but never found exactly what I was looking for, which was a display with a full magnetic backing. All the displays I found had a single magnet per marker which I didn't want to deal with (and were also rather expensive). Instead, I took a picture frame and lined the entire glass with magnetic tape from home depot. I'll be needing to make a larger one pretty soon as I'm running out of space! Picture frame laying around the house + $10 worth of magnetic tape = a display for all your little golf course mementos!
  8. The only clubs that have names in my bag are my driver/woods and that's due to the headcovers that I have on them. I have 3 minions as headcovers (see my avatar!) and the club name is that of the character! So.... Driver = Kevin 3-Wood = Bob 5-Wood = Stuart
  9. I'm currently playing Callaway Chromesoft (yellow), but with the member reviews, I'm considering trying the Srixon Q-Star Tour or the Vice Pro Soft. Both of those balls have appeared to rate favorably among the members using Chromesoft. To be honest, I would have tried the Q-Star Tour a long time ago if they had released it in yellow.. I've gotten so used to playing a yellow ball that I have been hesitant going back to white..
  10. This is a very biased reply since I'm in the area, but I would say the Monterey Bay area in California. This one area has 6 courses (4 of which are only minutes apart) from the Top 100 Public Course list from Golf Digest (numbers are their current ranking from the list): 1. Pebble Beach 11. Spyglass Hill 18. Pasatiempo 42. Cordevalle 44. The Links at Spanish Bay 62. Poppy Hills It would be a very expensive but an awesome week of golf! And I guess I should add my bucket list as well... 1. Cypress Point.... That about sums it up! Only need one! Although I've been playing/planning trips around the Top 100 Public list, so I guess you could call that a bucket list of sorts as well...
