    SQAIRZ VELO Shoe

       153

I love the look of these shoes.  I'm a shoe guy, and worked for one of the big athletic shoes companies in Massachusetts about 20 years ago.  While I worked in supply chain for them, I was also a shoe tester (we called it "fit tester") for them.  I play golf once or twice a week, each and every week, now.  I own six pairs of golf shoes, spread across a couple of brands.  I look for functionality, style and an innovative look when choosing shoes, and these seem to meet all of those criterion, and more.  Can't wait to see them in person.

Living in Texas translates into the  consistent wearing of sunglasses for golf, attending sporting activities (big NCAA softball fan), and generally for all outdoor activities.  The TrueBlue line offers both good looks and new technology, so having the opportunity to test them would be a huge honor.

  1. I'd love to try one of the Zebra mallet putters.  One of my regular playing partners uses an iconic Zebra putter and is quite deadly with it.  I'm not sure what makes it such a good putter, but I'd love to have the opportunity to find out for myself.  Of course, besides the learning experience, I'd love to see my putting average, which I track on my Garmin S62 Approach, drop by a couple tenths of a stroke!

  2. Sub70 has caught my eye time and again, mainly through MGS.  An opportunity like this is amazing, and it's really exciting to see both Sub70 and MGS come together to offer readers the chance to try their wedges.  My scoring comes from my short game, and while I change my wedges every few years, I've never had forged wedges, mainly due to price.  I carry a 50*, 56* and 60*, with my 60* being my go-to wedge.  As an older golfer, my group plays the forward combo, so my wedges really get a work out.  I'd love to give these a try, so fortune favor me with the chance.

Regardless, of who gets selected, I'm appreciative of Sub70 putting this opportunity out there!

  3. My relationship with my putter is at times strained.  I've had a few dozen in my time, and wile I'm convinced that a mallet putter is right for me, finding "the one" has been difficult.  I'd love to try a L.A.B. Putter.  I've read about them online, but never actually had one in my hands.  The Mezz.1 Max looks sweet, and I'd love to give it a chance on the greens!

There's something fun and exciting about the L.A.B. putter, and I'd love to give one a try.  I'm looking forward to hearing from those selected, although I'd love to be the one sharing the information with others!

  4. I live in Texas and play twice a week, carrying a 12 handicap.  I currently play Ping G400 SFT 3- and 5-woods, both with R Flex graphite shafts.  Would love to try the Sub70's.

  5. I'm a Maxfli fan from way back.  Used to play Noodles, when they were a Maxfl product.  While I haven't played either of these particular balls, I ahve played the matte finish Maxfli r(bought a dozen recently), and thought they performed really well.  Would love to give e these a try.  I play weekly, sometimes twice/week, and have an 11 handicap.

  6. These are great looking shoes.  I'd make a great fit tester, as I performed in that role any years ago when I was a Supply Chain VP for Reebok.  I wear mostly Adidas these days, although my last purchase was with Puma.  All of my shoes are spikeless, and I do play 1-2 times/week, so it would be easy to give these a good workout.  Men's size 10, if I'm selected.

  7. The Honma has a great look about it, and if it can help me (as a 64 year old) generate some more speed and distance, it would be a godsend.  I use a Gamin S62 (previously used an S60) and have a good history of my driving distance, so improvement should be easy to track.
