  1. Ran across a couple of "oldies" that I can't seem to get out of my head... I remember going to the roller rink in the 70's and this always seemed to be on loop. Another classic one, but this time from the 80's... Vocals are impressive as it the guitar...
  2. Funny how wedges can be almost as beloved and personal like putters. Nice looking club right there! Don't be scared...go out there and have fun with it!
  3. but addressing the ball does not mean preparing it for the Post Man..
  4. Love those smiles! You both look great and I'm glad you had a good time! Buffalo Chicken Mac-n-Cheese..??! Long ways from a hot dog & Cracker Jacks! YUM!
  5. Can't get closer than that! Big congrats my man!!!!
  6. PING Apologist "APPROVED" Enjoy the snot out of them! The G410 series is legit and you will certainly have fun (and look damn good doing it!) for sure. Cheers!!!
  7. I like what I'm hearing-good work! Only a few courses around here have a practice trap-my home course included. I've always been "chicken" to get in it and practice, so my sand shots are always an adventure, though I generally can get out alright...mostly...
  8. Run Man! Run like the wind! And don't stop!!!!! Safe journeys my friend!!!
  9. Good stuff Kenny! Wow! 101 already??! Way too early for that sh**!
  10. I did another driver-heavy range session last evening in the 90* heat that just about wore me out. After my lousy performance last Sunday, I kept wondering why I had such an awful day driving and it dawned on me that I had yet again regressed my grip back to weak and I should-a have known better. So I worked on that and also keeping the face closed which is a struggle for me since my left wrist has limited function. Saw a new video by one of my favorites and it inspired me to give this drill a try... Man what a difference! Of 20 recorded shots on my ES 12, I averaged a phenomenal 242.6 calculated total distance!! Additionally the slice & "power-fades" were nowhere to be seen and that for me is a rare event for sure. If I do the right thing with my wrists, I can actually feel the club release as is passes through the ball and my arms feel as if they are being stretched. It feels really powerful and I just gotta figure out how to get that feeling to the course and keep it there.
  11. Yeah, those clubs save my bacon more often than not
  12. For your top-end gap question (5w, x-over or hybrid), only some testing will tell of course. I'm partial to woods myself and suggest that if you are comfortable with your 3w, that a 5w may be a good and easy transition. You and I seem to have very similar yardages looking at your data so far (nice write-up btw...). So as an example only, my G400 5w is my 185-200 club and I can count on that distance with it nearly every time.
  13. Have fun with those Bill! I'll be tuned in to hear how you're hitting them!
  14. I really enjoy your contributions here! Indeed the BEST golf forum on the planet and I'm so glad you call it "home"! Congratulations on the 1K and a big "CHEERS" to many more K!
  15. Great update Rev. I'm glad you were able to slip away after what sounds like a terrible day and maybe relax a bit. I'd say you have that thing pretty well dialed in and maybe seeing similar results with distance improvements over the G400 series like I did-nice to have some validation..! I'm hoping to get to the range myself this week and continue to work on grooving my swing. It fell out of the groove Sunday and I need to try to generate some muscle-memory especially on my transition. Keep bombing them out there! 230 carry with 265 roll is awesome!
  16. Trekked out with a buddy of mine to a track I've never played before out in Star called River Birch. Should be called "River ******"!! It tore me up after my 85 the day before. I had an awful day driving and could not find a green to save my life it seemed. And when I was finally on the dance floor (they were all mostly quite small surfaces), every putt had some kind of break or double-break to it and I burned several right by that just kept rolling out, and out and out! They (the greens) were granite-hard and rocket-fast and I had troubles all day with pace. I also should have known better to play 2-days in a row. I was beat! Went 51/46 for a lousy 97. No birds, and only 2 pars. The good news is that I won the day against my bud and he owes me a beer.
  17. Just make sure there are no open flames anywhere in the area...
  18. Same here! got my PING DLX BAG there on clearance for nearly $100 off since it was a discontinued color scheme. Good call @mr.hicksta!
  19. Great topic SG! I have several that I have to continually concentrate on; DRIVER: If I don't clear my hips on the down-stoke, disaster usually looms. FAIRWAYS: I must drag the clubhead away from the ball to start the back-swing and focus on something on the ground directly behind the ball. LONG IRONS (this means you 5 & 6i!): Still waiting... IRONS: Stay close to the ball and have a shallow take-away. WEDGES: Must rotate body and arms like a pendulum and trust the bounce. PUTTER: Lock my left elbow, trust the line and continue to focus on the spot where the ball was after it leaves the putter face. Simple right? Like OG mentioned, I too tend to hurry sometimes and relapse on many of these learned lessons throughout a round. But if I relax behind the shot to find a target, tell myself; "Get it (insert target here)" and then jump into address with positive thoughts, many of these lessons happen naturally as long as I focus. Easy right???
  20. Grip maybe? Man if I relapse even a little, to a weaker grip without knowing it, I'll slice across the ball like gangbusters. It always seems that so long as I concentrate on building that strong grip during my pre-shot routine, better results happen more often than not. If I don't, then I turn instantly into the latest Batman Villain..: "The Swiper" (insert evil laugh here)
