  1. I won't be able to offer any comparisons either, but the DLX I have is the 2017(?) model I picked up from Global Golf during their year-end clearance that year around Christmas time. It's black & grey with blue highlights that I believe was geared to match the G-Series stuff they had at the time before the G400 came out. Anyhow, doing my normal diligence of on-line research at the time, MGS had their most-wanted bags article up ( https://mygolfspy.com/2017-golf-cart-bag-buyers-guide/ ) where it was #2 right behind the Pioneer. To me, the DLX (deluxe-?) was simply a Pioneer but with a vinyl shell rather than a cloth-like exterior, and I felt the vinyl would be better at shedding rain, dust & dirt and also stand up to the abuse of a former Marine. So far, so good. This bag is AWESOME! So much storage and so well thought out! Shoe storage, personal affects pouches, clip for keys, Velcro for the glove, magnetic pocket lid for RF, 15-way divider with a big putter well, handles in all the right places, etc., etc... If you wind up getting into one, you won't be disappointed.
  2. A few nights ago, I was rooting around in my golf grip stash and found I had a Tour SNSR putter grip hidden in there (red, yellow & black). Can't remember where I picked it up, but I've never used it before. Now to start, I had done a awful job when I re-gripped my B60 with a PING PP60 grip last year, and it was time to fix that. I was simply going to pull it off, re-tape it, but had to cut the dang thing off..!. I only cut it off since I knew I had an immediate replacement handy so on went the GP SNSR. So far my experience with it is positive. It feels good and I'm seeing some positive results with it right away. I just re-read all of the reviews on this and you all, @chemclub, @BigtazzGolf, @JDHolmes & @gchester33 did a fantastic job with this one! Right now I am 20/20 play it!
  3. All the best to you out there! have some fun and kick some tail!
  4. Dang, I should-a snapped a pic of the driver face before I wiped it down. There were ball marks all over that thing that indeed looked like it had taken a shotgun blast! Something tells me I may have voided the warranty with PING for "improper usage" or "abuse beyond normal golf activities" or some such...
  5. Thanks Bud! Yeah, I was expecting someone to call the Funny Farm and send the "nice" men out to pick me up and haul me away in their rubber truck, but I somehow was able to avoid all that..! Heck, that may still happen...
  6. OK Spies...I know you've all been waiting so here it is... MY OFFICIAL 2019 MGS HARD ROCK CHALLENGE PIC SUBMISSION... TITLED: "ONCE MORE INTO THE BREECH!!!" And yes...the shirt is red so you can't tell if I'm bleeding while I kill it out on the course...NOT! Did my second 9 of the day for the HRC using this gem... Brick is too kind to describe the feeling this gives and kept on giving... However, I somehow pulled off a 43 with it and had a 253-yd drive with it too...honest! Hole 17 from the elevated tee box and "KA-WHAMO!" No closest to the pin to report, but had 2 short pitch shots with my 58* that wound up being "gimmes". Details for the HRC: -Ball used: #4 Revolution -Boise Ranch golf Course, Meridian, Idaho http://boiseranchgc.com/-scorecard -Gold Tees_68.1/119, 6,070-yds Score: 43 Current hcp (unofficial): 19.2 Longest drive: 253-yds I can honestly say I didn't hate the MF Revolution. Not bad honestly though I may change my mind after my emergency dental appointment tomorrow....Only kidding. We were able to pack in the gauze and curtail most of the bleeding while we played on... Man's game B**CH!!!! Somebody get me an aspirin...
  7. Backed-up my round of 85 with one of 86 today..! 43/43 with 6 pars, 1 bird and 6-freakin' 3-putts! https://shotzoom.com/rounds/22987175981# Putter was on to start while driver was cold. At the turn, made a 7 on the par-5 10th, but went on to have 3 more pars with the driver showing up and putter just being...ok... Had 4 legitimate chances at bird all day and only made one, but the way I see it, things are looking up! The final 9 I did the "Unofficial 2019 MGS Hard Rock Challenge" and unfortunately kept the same ball all the way through...my hands hurt..! More there in that thread to read about. Thanks for reading and cheers all!
  8. That's what I figured and heard myself. Odd that they have a differing rule...bummer too...
  9. Yeah, I recognized it immediately when I saw him pull the 3w out. Stock Alta CB Red shaft and all...
  10. Don't care where it happens...Nicely done! Congrats!!!
  11. Yeah...my understanding on those is that if you hit a line, that you'd be allowed another shot from the original position without penalty. One of our courses here has lines that obstruct the ball path into the 18th green. I actually did hit one on the approach shot that was actually a great flight and was probably going to hit the green, but center-punched the line and dropped straight down 100-yds in front of the green. I was allowed another shot from the original spot w/o a stroke and then (naturally) hit that one side-ways and missed the green... Of course we were not in a tournament. Must be a local rule then?
  12. Nice write-up Stud! Sounds like you have a solid bag from top to bottom and I cannot wait until you have the time to write up your thoughts on the G410 driver. Best of luck to you my friend! As for the ball selection, here is a clip of true insight...
  13. Aaaaaand, I'm sure there's a wee bit of humidity involved there too...just a bit.... My only time spent in Florida was many, many years ago when my new wife & I trekked out there to visit all the Orlando attractions as well as the space center (highlight for me btw). I remember stepping off the plane and just being hammered with what felt like a wall of moisture and heat the likes I've never felt before. All I did was sweat all week and walk around in absolutely soaked clothing every day...and I didn't even golf!
  14. With the exception of some new camera angles and drone views, I hated the Fox coverage. Too many "feel-good" stories, dumb interviews, Joe Buck, weird microphones picking up putters hitting the ball that all sounded odd for some reason, oh and Joe Buck... I was bored with it all and it seemed to not have much flow to it-felt disjointed and unorganized. Hated it.
  15. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the Dad's out there!!! Just finished making Sunday-Morning breakfast for the kiddos (pancakes, bacon & eggs). Took them out last night for a round of bowling in the VIP lounge at Big Al's, so today is my day. Got a late tee-time after 2PM (tournament ahead all day), so just hanging until then. Wishing everyone the BEST!!
  16. Good looking pair right there! Good luck out there and Happy Father's day!!! (just sayin', but couldn'y ya have coordinated the shoes too...???) Seriously, have a blast out there!
  17. Good luck sneaking out and big Happy B-day to the new teenager!
  18. I kind-a figured you'd be waaaaay ahead of me, so kudos! Keep after them and don't get frustrated. You are a good ball-striker. Trust what you see and go with the gains!
  19. Bill, I wouldn't be able to answer your question directly since I have yet to change up my irons, but would only suggest what I'd do based on your experience so far and the data you've presented. I'd simply take these average numbers and type up a yardage chart small enough to fit in your pocket, but with font large enough to read. Laminate it of course ( I use a couple of layers of regular packing tape). Keep playing and keep practicing with the LM and adjust the chart as needed. After a while, you won't need the chart anymore. Also to start, I would also think about adding a few yards to each average distance just to pad the number a bit to maybe help myself feel more comfortable with those flushed shots flying further than "normal". It's certainly going to be a process no matter how you go about it...just have fun doing it!
  20. Great write-up! 256 is no joke-with any ball!
  21. To one of our heavy contributors out there, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY wish to you my friend! Let us know if you have any big plans, and keep hitting them straight! CHEERS!!!
