  1. Welcome Tim, what courses do you usually play back in Minnesota?
  2. Welp sorry I didn't read the other responses before posting. Ordered my 4 dozen and I'm excited to have some test.
  3. I mean that is the "3-Piece" which is not a 4 piece... people need to read.
  4. I haven't had a chance to play there yet. I've been over to Eagle Glen in Corona though [emoji2]
  5. 3 wood - 275 6 iron - 200 9 iron - 160 52 - 115
  6. 1. Your first name and home state or province Wil, Currently living in Southern California Home state = Minnesota 2. Your current set makeup Cobra F8+ Driver Cobra F8+ 3 wood 15° Callaway XForged Utility iron 18° Ping i200s PW - 4 Vokey Wedges 52 56 60 3. Your current handicap 16.3 4. Your goals for the 2018 golf season Improve my ball striking consistency, continue to work on distance control between full and partial swings, limit miss hits to Bogeys( No Triples)
  7. Not that this happens often... but when I'm on the front downslope in a bunker and I have to clear a large lip to get out with no area to swing
  8. If I had a time machine to say Welcome in 2012 I would...
  9. I agree with this. It is somewhat similar to a 5 wood size maybe, but has the loft of a 3 wood. I didn't carry the F8+ quite as far using the same loft on the F8(Different stiffness and launch on shafts), however my spin values were in the range I like for consistency. 10. Just picked up the F8+ 3W last night to match my driver. Hit it fairly well on the Sim with the XS shaft. I changed the loft up to the max 15°
  11. It comes down to maintenance and upkeep. Electric could go quicker, however, they are typically restricted for safety. I haven't looked at the difference in cost, but I know most courses I play are too steep to use gas carts.
  12. Just finished my round and it went fairly well for the conditions... 30mph + winds coming off the mountains which made play and putting difficult. It was a challenge, but it was a great day all in all. F8+ had a few nice drives 350 + yards because of the wind haha. I dialed down to 9.5 again and swapped the 2g and 12g to position more weight near the back of the club. This led to the perfect ball flight for the windy conditions when struck properly... Looking forward to play hopefully tomorrow away from the mountains. It's hard to judge performance when you have to purposely draw or fade into the wind. Or aim 40 yards L/ R to account for it Pic of Mt. Baldy from hole 18
  13. I'll be playing Sierra Lakes in Riverside, CA today for the first time. It will be interesting to see how it handles my game ball vs the cheap range ones. I believe some of the holes are pretty tight so driving accuracy will be key. Beers & Birdies
  14. I've transitioned to the Vice Pro plus this season. I wouldn't consider playing AVXs at this price. Vice's price point to performance/feel is great for me. I can't justify playing anything else till I improve by driving accuracy. Durability is a tradeoff for Vice, but if I lose 3 balls a round, paying $48 for AVXs isn't worth it. I believe for a majority of average golfers who play on a budget will not buy AVXs regularly. Beers & Birdies
