  1. Yes I just started looking at it the other day. I don't appreciate that they "lock" the front and back of green distances as part of their premium features, but the hole diagrams look pretty good.
  2. I have both The Grint and Golfshot. However I use the paid version of The Grint mainly because it allows me to capture more stats when I use it to keep score. But they both work well whether with the free or paid version. BTW, the USGA app now has one too, if you already have a USGA membership.
  3. I walk my local 9 and executive 18 courses if my plantar fasciitis is not acting up. If my foot is sore I'll ride though and on longer courses I definitely ride.
  4. This is exactly why I stay away from adjustable heads!
  5. I recently switched my opinion from hating the floppy hat look to realizing I need them to protect my skin. So I have several of them myself. What brand are those?
  6. Wow, looking forward to this.
  7. There are so many spikeless options nowadays that it is pretty easy to find a pair that are as comfortable as sneakers. My understanding is golf shoes provide more lateral support than normal walking or running shoes. So there is definitely a difference. I personally prefer sneaker type spikeless shoes. I own one pair of spikes but I rarely wear them.
  8. Sorry I just saw this. Yes I took the day off to play golf. It was great.
  9. I am replacing my lost or stolen CBX2 50°. Also my wife got me a nice Sunday bag for my birthday, so I un-retired some of my old clubs.
  10. I don't have the fairway but I do have an E521 hybrid and it is a very good club. However the general consensus on the E521s is that you should only get it if you do not try to shape your shots. With the Houdini sole your ball flight will be straight. It is difficult if not impossible to shape shots with the E series. The C521 is a better bet if you like to shape your shots.
  11. I have never tried any Callaway clubs. So this would be interesting.
  12. I hear their sizes tend to run small compared to most other brands. Does anyone know if this is true?
  13. Name: Larry Brown Location: Anaheim CA Current Putter: Cleveland Huntington Beach Soft Premier 10.5 Which Impact model you want to test: #3
  14. I have no problem with your preferences, but I wouldn't call any of them "cool", except maybe Cobra. The rest are pretty buttoned up corporate brands to me. The exact opposite of cool.
  15. Six pairs and one on the way. Adidas - 2 New Balance - 2 Skechers - 1 Ecco - 1 Asics - On the way All spikeless except for one pair of NB.
  16. I find guys who wear golf attire all the time amusing. For me golf attire is strictly for golf. But then, I am no country club player. If I was, maybe I'd change my tune.
  17. If you're fine with no Ping logo you may want to check out Tenth Street hats. I picked up a couple from them with a buy one get one free deal that was pretty good. https://tenthstreethats.com/collections/mens-wide-brim-hats?narrow=[["Brand"%2C"Dorfman Pacific"]]&sort_by=relevency&disable_semantics=1
  18. I recently bought one pretty similar to that. Haven't worn it yet.
  19. I just recently started embracing the wide brim and bucket hats. Typically I wear ball caps, but as mentioned, they really don't protect your ears and neck.
  20. I guess it’s a matter of perspective. I came to SoCal from NYC in the Navy back in 1983. Took one look at Coronado and said “I could get used to this”. And have been here ever since. But I live in OC and only go to LA when I absolutely have to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Check out Gigagolf.com. You may be able to get a full set within your budget. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. It’s actually supposed to get up to 90° tomorrow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
