1. Serious pain and inflammation in my left heel. It makes walking painful. I had this same condition before and never figured out how to treat it, but it eventually went away.

2.
Gotta agree. I just bought a pair of Adidas Crossknit 2.0 on closeout. You have to understand, my feet are jacked up. Every shoe hurts my feet. But these? Oh my, oh my. I walked 9 yesterday for the first time in 2 years, and felt good at the end.

I’m going to go buy another pair just for daily wear.

I have a pair of those as well, and I love them. But I have never considered wearing them just for walking around.

3. People on carts that play golf "for the exercise"!

Imagine that if I get to the stage where I need a cart (Electric buggy, fine) every round, I'll take up lawn bowls.

Spoken like a young guy. As much as I prefer to walk (with a push cart only) the munis I play on are always too slow and too crowded. I would only slow things down more. Especially since almost everyone else on the course is riding. And at 60 years old I just don’t move as fast or as well as I used to.

4. I agree for the most part. When I practice a lot, I can be pretty effective with the 60, but part of my problem is I get too "cute" with it and try too many shots that are beyond my ability to pull off regularly. Occasionally it works out and is really fun when it does, but more often than not, I cause myself more pain. "Taking my medicine" is not something I am particularly good at, so by removing the temptation, I'm forced to play smarter.

Agreed.

5. Right now, I have 15 in my bag - the Bridgestone test included a 4H and 4i. At some point, one of them will stay home, probably the 4i (although I hit it really well at the range the other day). I'm also strongly considering consolidating my wedges since I can be pretty ineffective with my 60 at times. Instead of 52, 56, 60, I may just go with 52 and 58.

I have heard that unless you’re a really low ‘capper you have no business carrying anything higher than a 58* wedge. I have a 60 but it never goes in my bag. Right now I have 50 and 55 but I may replace the 55 with a Maltby or Sub70 56.

6. Even though I could easily carry 15, I am beginning to think as a high handicapper I could probably get away with 10 or even 8. Reading a recent article about course management I realized I probably don’t need so many clubs at the top of my bag.

7. Ok, GolfSpy MPR.. I respectfully think you are wrong. These are not friendly games on Sat afternoon between friends. These are competitions to see who is the best on that course at that given time played for large amounts of money.  Winning is Winning. What you are saying is the "participation medal" ideology where we do not keep score and everyone wins.. Which is wrong, we need to teach that you will be rewarded for your hard work and effort not just because you showed up..
Yes,Tony had a great Year But He did not WIN.. Bubba as a whole did not play as well, but he did win 3 times..

I have to somewhat agree here. Finau is playing consistently well, but at some point you have to win. Had he won even one tournament last year he would be seen very differently right now.

8. I just started using The Grint a few weeks ago, and so far I like it. However, I already use and like Golfshot for scoring on course and just add my score to the Grint after the round. Since I already paid for the Pro version of Golfshot I’ll just use the free version now. However, I do like the ability to save a photo of your scorecard, so maybe I’ll do the paid version in the future.

9. I bought a set of no name custom irons with graphite shafts about 11 years ago when I was maybe playing twice a year. When I started playing again in 2017 I only considered graphite. I’ll never switch back.

10. Just saw that Costco has come out with the Kirkland Signature golf glove.  Full cabretta leather glove and a 4-pack for $20.  On paper that looks like a sweet deal and a great place to stock up on gloves.  I generally prefer something with a little flair of color but at $5 a glove it's going to be very hard to not try these.
Has anyone seen them in stores yet?

I hope they will stock them in the stores. If so I will pick some up, even though I don’t need any gloves right now.
