I am in Cape Town, SA for work and found time to get a round in. Since there is a water crisis in Cape Town, there are few golf courses that are actually really nice. They are green and plush because they use "effluent" water (recycled and filtered water).
I was fortunate enough to play Westlake Golf Club near Muizenberg area. 6500 yards from the tips, 6250 yards from the whites. Though the course is generally flat, it was still GORGEOUS!! Great staff! Great people I played with. AND it's mandatory that one stop after the turn to eat (10-15 minute stop). The only thing I did not like were the rental clubs. They only have Callaway Warbird woods and irons. They weren't crisp, but I eventually managed. Not playing for 2 months and using shitty clubs, I wound up shooting an 88 (47-41).
I would still highly recommend this course.
