  1. I have owned several launch monitors. I started with a Flightscope Xi+. Which was a great unit for practice. However, it left me desiring more in terms of gaming/sim play. When the Mevo+ came out, I was one of the first to buy. It was a great unit, and I went through a lot of up's and downs with it. Unfortunately, it still didn't meet the requirements in terms of sim play. It was great for practice, but lacked the consistency for dialing in your game. Therefore, I made the switch to a Foresight GC2. It is fantastic for sim play. It ticked all the boxes for me in terms of sim play. I like to regularly play on the SGT Tour, which is a fun way to keep the game sharp. The biggest improvement was spin measurement. I'm a big advocate now that camera based launch monitors are the way to go indoors. Radar based are improving, but it's still not there. What's my next step? Probably moving to Uneekor. I really want a ceiling mounted LM to ensure ease of play. Especially with LH/RH players. But I'd still consider their Eye Mini/Eye Mini Lite. The one thing I'm missing with my current launch monitor is up to date foresight software. It only came with the FR1 dongle and I simply use GSPro for everything. I would like something better for tracking club data more easily for fittings. I run a small shop out of my garage and considering entering the fitting market with some smaller brands. I would need to update my Carl's enclosure though. As I believe it lacks the safety required. I use a CCE golf mat which provides great feedback, but hard on the joints.
  2. I have a background in club fitting and repair. I managed a driving range and owned an original Vector LM. I own my own flightscope now and use numbers for practice daily. I have a HDCP of 2, and I consistently pursue a better game via technology and equipment. However, I also understand the importance of putting time into my game. Hence why I've purchased an indoor sim. I follow Mygolfspy religiously for all my equipment needs and inquiry. I've switched golf balls, I've changed my setup up, and I consider myself in the know all things equipment in the golf industry. I like to update equipment, but I trust numbers and try not to change if it doesn't perform better. I hope to be a part of this community more, and look forward to sharing my golfing story with you. I have always invested myself into this game, and I will continue to do so for years to come.
  3. I did jump on board and got a ball and sensors. I figured for the price, it was worth trying out. I'm hopeful that MyGolfSpy will do a review. I'm surprised there isn't a story released on it yet.
  4. I am also curious. The big deal breaker for me right now is that I can only order the whole package. I already have a mat and net, so I only need the ball and the sensors. With this said, the ball itself appears to only have a battery duration of approximately 12 hours. Then you need to order a new ball. From what I understand, is going to be $49USD for a replacement ball. Once the ball is dead, you need a new one. You can't recharge it. I love the idea! I think it's great and the numbers and fun you can have would be great. However, in the end, you'll need to replace the ball often. Thus, turning a cost effective launch monitor/sim into a continuous expense. Albeit still much less than many other options.
  5. Good afternoon! I am looking for someone who can help me get the correct driver installation for the original Vector Launch Monitor. My current laptop is not recognizing the unit via firewire. I understand that this is an old unit, but I'm hopeful it can be my starting point for my in-home practice bay. I purchased this device years ago when I was in the club fitting business. Any help would be appreciated. Yes I know they no longer support it.
