  1. I've hung on and hung on to Perez. He must have sensed my faith in him, and rewarded it for sure. Good thing, since J. Byrd gave me a whopping negative 3 points this weekend.
  2. Played a very short, miserable little exec with trouble everywhere and a ton of wind. Had the most remarkably inconsistent round I think I could possibly imagine. 2 birdies, 7 pars and 9 double (or worse), with 8 penalties. That's right, not a single bogey. Everything was either really good or really crappy. I did, however, find out two very important things: I need to work on making sure I finish toward the target with my irons, and I absolutely have to find something between a 5 iron and driver that I can hit off the tee. Teeing off on 240 yard par 4's is a complete nightmare.
  3. I have a problem. I've had it for a long time. I like gimmicky stuff, stuff that's not really practical but still seems kind of cool. I can't seem to resist. Enter the Classic Finish Golf bag. Found at the local Goodwill, it was a yellow tag for $24.99. The day I bought it yellow tags were half price. I can't think of a single practical use for it other than storing extra clubs and stuff in it, but I couldn't leave it there. Individually either bag is really too small and together, I don't think they'd fit on a cart very well. Still, I wanted to share the beauty with you all. Check it out.
  4. I would agree that a urethane ball would be better and I hope you can find one that works for you, both in price and performance. Just yesterday I got the chance to play a Kirkland and an MG, neither of which I had played before. Both were surprisingly good considering their inexpensive price points. I'm a high handicapper as well, but I can definitely identify a performance improvement with a urethane ball.
  5. This is my drive on a par 4 that my phone GPS was claiming 301 to the middle with the pin probably 5-10 yards towards the front. That is pin-high just off the right of the green, not out front. The ball is a new Maxfli Tour, and I took the time to line up the CG before my drive. I was pretty happy with it. On a whim, I also put my old Ping Eye2 sand wedge in the bag. Hit two of the best bunker shots I've hit in a long time.
  6. Literally was sending him a message about this when you posted!
  7. Wait....what??? I thought they were playing golf at this point. Didn't Toronto beat them?????
  8. What a good group. Congratulations and good luck. Sent from my XT1585 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  9. I had done it before and had been "fit" into the e12 soft twice. This time I messed with the settings and basically discovered if my current gamer, which happens to be the Wilson Duo Soft, is a surlyn cover then it insists on fitting me into the e12. As soon as I changed my current ball to the Callaway Chrome Soft X, of which I do have a few in my bag, it immediately decided that I was a Tour B RX guy. The only change that got me from the e12 to the Tour B RX was changing to a urethane ball as my current ball. For what it's worth. . .
  10. Absolutely. I just got done reading them. I don't think I have a question that he hasn't already answered, and there's some great information in his responses that you don't necessarily get from the report. Almost as valuable as the report itself.
  11. I'll second that. I think they're great shirts for the price. You can wear just about any color with tan. One of my most common golf outfits is a pair of tan/khaki shorts with a solid red Under Armor polo. Simple.
  12. Rob Punta Gorda, Florida 105/26 Cleveland Halo 3h, PGF Southpaw 7W, Ping i20 4i Left Handed
  13. An impatient Scotsman? Never!! (My MacKinnon blood made me say that!)
  14. I got a chance to look at it, too. Agree completely with the "wayyy too much information to give you a winner" comment. When I finally get a chance to really dig in, it'll take me forever to figure out what I want to do regarding golf balls. As you would expect, it''s extremely well done.
  15. One of the primary purposes of the rules is for everyone to know what to expect. He undoubtedly expected you to play by the rules, and he should have expected to do the same. Making him retake the stroke isn't being petty, it's establishing that the match WILL be played by the rules. Nothing wrong with that. Sent from my XT1585 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  16. There's a lot to like about that bag. Nice write-up. Thanks for posting it. Sent from my XT1585 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  17. Exactly where I stand on it. I always have a good time playing and I'm just not that concerned about handicap. I could fairly easily take 5-10 strokes off it with some better choices, but I like taking on the challenge of specific shots, even though the probability of making them is low. Just have fun playing your game. Sent from my XT1585 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  18. Don't know how I missed this. Congratulations! Sent from my XT1585 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  19. I agree that the Bruins have a better chance of pulling it off than the Celtics, but I'd love to see them both make it happen.
  20. Great group of testers. Good luck with it. As always, I'm sure you guys will slay it.
  21. Sorry, I digress. I heard Weezer on the cello, and Hayseed Dixie came to mind. Just had to share the joy with everyone.
  22. How about some AC/DC done bluegrass style?
  23. I'd be inclined to think that, too. It would be interesting to know what the differences are in the production of the different colors.
