Welp, I'm in trouble. I checked the Schwab website yesterday and all of my guys were listed in the field, but Oosthuizen must have pulled out kinda late. I guess I'm only playing 3 guys this week. First time that's happened to me.

This is me in a nutshell. As soon as I try to ease up my swing, which isn't great to start with, it becomes downright horrible.

I can chunk a shot no matter where people are standing, so I generally don't notice unless I feel like I'm going to hit them somehow. I almost always want people where they can see from the tee because I'm likely to not see the ball even if it's hit perfectly and I get tired of losing balls out in the fairway. I played with a guy this weekend that I would have liked to stand approximately 2500 miles away, but that was a whole different story!

No doubt, but you've got to stop playing those Pinnacle Gold's!

The driver worked its butt off today. Good thing, because pretty much everything else stunk. The one fairway I missed with the driver I was trying to carry about 240 yards of water. It moved just left enough that it had to carry about 280, and didn't quite get there. The greens had just been plugged and sanded, so putting was a nightmare. A two week layoff just doesn't work. Interesting topic. I wondered about this back when there was some discussion about the scoring system in the fantasy golf league. Someone mentioned rewarding "explosive" players (I think that's the word that was used) and that pars carried too much weight. I'm still not sure exactly where I stand on the fantasy scoring but I think that in tournament play, the players need to have some sense of what's going on around them. If you're playing par golf all day and you know someone else is taking risks and being successful, it's on you to figure out how to score. Playing bogie free golf on the type of courses they play is a remarkable feat but at the end of the tournament, the lowest score wins. I hope this made sense to someone, because I feel like I'm just babbling.
