  1. Nice. I don't know about anyone else but he looks stronger than heck to me. Always has.
  2. According to my wife, we can be.[emoji12] It is a great ball for the price and I think if the 2 for $50 stays for a while, they're going to sell a ton of them. Sent from my XT1585 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  3. Welcome. Enjoy your time here. It's a great place!
  4. I played whatever I could find during the 4 rounds-per-year days. When I got to play fairly regularly, I bought a bag that included a Guerin Rife 2-Bar mallet. Been gaming it ever since. I've wondered about upgrading to some newer technology but I still think I probably should just stick with that and actually practice. Everything in the bag seems to rotate except the putter. In the immortal words of Johnny Horton: "I'll never love another even if I can Well, come to me baby, I'm a one-woman man." Sent from my XT1585 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  5. Sorry guys, but I couldn't resist.
  6. I picked up a couple dozen last weekend and played them. I think they're an outstanding ball for the $25/doz. I paid. I had one pick up a pretty good scuff mark like @Bonks had, from what was the best sand shot I've hit in a year. (It's a whole different topic, but the Ping Eye2 SW is definitely staying in the bag with me!) I don't know if it was related or just chance, but I did make sure I had the alignment set for my tee shot on #9. The GPS on my phone claimed 301, and the pin was probably 5-10 yards toward the front. Went pin high, just to the right of the green. I'll take it.
  7. I wondered earlier if the color might make a difference. I wouldn't discount swing speed either, although I'm still up over 100 with the driver and didn't see the type of damage that others did. I didn't hit that many full swing second shots so that could have had some bearing on my results as well Sent from my XT1585 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  8. Excellent. I bag a PGF Southpaw 7-wood that I pulled off a discount rack. Hard to find the lefty clubs, sometimes.
  9. I'm choosing Noren this week. I think he may have heard all my complaining and decided to stop being such a knucklehead.
  10. Congratulations. Looking forward to continued contributions from "Bonny Scotland."
  11. This was my initial reaction as well and I wasn't going to respond, because of this .
  12. I have to agree with @perseveringgolfer. It's too early to know right now. I knew I wanted to go to Annapolis from the time I was in 5th grade. When I took the vision specs to my optometrist in 1984, he just laughed at me. Today, there would be options. You never know what's coming up next year, or the year after that. Let him dream...
  13. If you all aren't reading these outstanding Stage 2 reviews, you're really missing out!!
  14. Great pics, Rev. Glad you guys are having such a great time!
  15. I gotcha. I can't believe a lefty is being so callous about other lefties. GO PALVORD!!
  16. I've hung on and hung on to Perez. He must have sensed my faith in him, and rewarded it for sure. Good thing, since J. Byrd gave me a whopping negative 3 points this weekend.
  17. Played a very short, miserable little exec with trouble everywhere and a ton of wind. Had the most remarkably inconsistent round I think I could possibly imagine. 2 birdies, 7 pars and 9 double (or worse), with 8 penalties. That's right, not a single bogey. Everything was either really good or really crappy. I did, however, find out two very important things: I need to work on making sure I finish toward the target with my irons, and I absolutely have to find something between a 5 iron and driver that I can hit off the tee. Teeing off on 240 yard par 4's is a complete nightmare.
  18. I have a problem. I've had it for a long time. I like gimmicky stuff, stuff that's not really practical but still seems kind of cool. I can't seem to resist. Enter the Classic Finish Golf bag. Found at the local Goodwill, it was a yellow tag for $24.99. The day I bought it yellow tags were half price. I can't think of a single practical use for it other than storing extra clubs and stuff in it, but I couldn't leave it there. Individually either bag is really too small and together, I don't think they'd fit on a cart very well. Still, I wanted to share the beauty with you all. Check it out.
  19. I would agree that a urethane ball would be better and I hope you can find one that works for you, both in price and performance. Just yesterday I got the chance to play a Kirkland and an MG, neither of which I had played before. Both were surprisingly good considering their inexpensive price points. I'm a high handicapper as well, but I can definitely identify a performance improvement with a urethane ball.
  20. This is my drive on a par 4 that my phone GPS was claiming 301 to the middle with the pin probably 5-10 yards towards the front. That is pin-high just off the right of the green, not out front. The ball is a new Maxfli Tour, and I took the time to line up the CG before my drive. I was pretty happy with it. On a whim, I also put my old Ping Eye2 sand wedge in the bag. Hit two of the best bunker shots I've hit in a long time.
  21. Literally was sending him a message about this when you posted!
